A Rasmussen survey released October 7, 2020, shows that 57 percent of Republicans and 39 percent of Democrats have a gun in their home. Rasmussen found that 37 percent of politically “unaffiliated” Americans have a gun in their home as well. Overall, 43 percent of American adults say someone in their home owns a gun, and slightly over 1/5 of those say “they or someone in their household has purchased a gun since the violent anti-police protests began.”

The City of Philadelphia has announced legal action against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania over gun safety laws. The Internal Revenue Service is investigating longtime National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre for possible criminal tax fraud related to his personal taxes, according to people familiar with the matter. ALEXANDRIA, Va. – A Fairfax man pleaded guilty today to dealing in firearms without a license.According to court documents, Davud Sungur, 20, has never had a federal firearms license. Beginning around March 2019 through March 2020, Sungur engaged in the business of dealing in firearms through the repetitive purchase and resale of firearms. Among the firearms that he sold and advertised for sale were homemade pistols devoid of serial numbers or other unique identifiers, commonly known as "ghost guns."
