OK now this is exactly what I’ve been talking about. Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI) not only doesn’t put up with any crap from MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell, but schools her on the fact that Obamacare treats big business differently than individuals and families. And he does it well, even throwing Jon Stewart in her face because he asked the questions that they should be asking. He rounds it off at the end telling her “I think the media should start doing it’s job.” BOOM! He even leaves her speechless at one point, but I’m gonna make you watch to see that....

Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.) reported being the victim of a minor assault outside the Capitol Wednesday night. The congressman told U.S. Capitol Police he was walking from the Longworth House Office Building for votes when "a random individual, unknown to the congressman, began screaming at him and grabbed his arm," according to Duffy's spokeswoman. A spokesman for Capitol Police said they are investigating. Duffy was unharmed in the incident, according to his office. "He reported the incident in compliance with House security procedures," Duffy's spokeswoman said. "Congressman Duffy has requested no further action be taken and there will be no...

Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.) lashed out at Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) on Friday, saying House Republicans were “tired of being abused” by the Tea Party favorite who talks big about defunding ObamaCare but won’t “get in the ring” now that it’s time to fight. “You should’ve been on the floor and back in the Cloak Room," Duffy said Friday on MSNBC’s "Morning Joe," referring to the atmosphere among House Republicans this week during discussions on a stopgap spending bill that defunds the healthcare law. "There was so much anger, so much frustration, because again, we’ve been abused by these guys...

Wausau Mayor Jim Tipple: "The banning of a political party from participation at any event co-sponsored by the City is against public policy and not in the best interest of all the citizens of the City of Wausau. And therefore, we encourage the event organizer to invite all interested parties, or reimburse the city for other costs."

WAUSAU (WAOW) -- Newsline 9 has learned Rep. Sean Duffy has been told he is not allowed in this year's Labor Day parade in Wausau. Duffy's office received that news earlier this week from parade organizers. His office was also told no Republicans will be allowed this year. The parade is sponsored by the Marathon County Labor Council. A Wausau city spokeswoman said the city does not contribute any money to the parade. Duffy's chief of staff, Brandon Moody, released a statement to Newsline 9: "Having walked in this parade in past years, Congressman Duffy was hoping that for a...

AMONG the many firsts in the 2010 elections, it is safe to assume that the following words had never before been uttered about a future member of Congress, “This is a candidate who is probably best known for getting drunk and having sex on television.” The comment, made by the chairman of the Wisconsin Democratic Party, was lobbed at Sean Duffy, who overcame his bawdy past as a star on MTV’s “Real World: Boston” in 1997 to ride a wave of conservative discontent into office. Some of Mr. Duffy’s youthful indiscretions that were captured on film and dredged up by...

New polling released by Democrat Julie Lassa's campaign shows her race with Republican Sean Duffy for the 7th Congressional District seat is a dead heat. The poll, conducted for Lassa's campaign by the D.C.-based firm Garin-Hart-Yang Research, shows Duffy leading Lassa 42 percent to 41 percent, within the margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points. The telephone survey was conducted Sept. 26 and 27 among 504 likely voters in the 7th CD. Seven percent of those polled said they would vote for independent candidate Gary Kauther, and 10 percent were undecided.

Sarah Palin has famously announced her "Mama Grizzlies," conservative female candidates she is backing in their races to reshape the American political scene. But there also a “Papa Grizzly,” Sean Duffy, a conservative district attorney and veteran of MTV’s “The Real World: Boston,” who is now given a strong chance of winning the GOP primary and moving on to Congress. Duffy, who sits at the intersection of reality television and today’s version of reality politics, announced a year ago that he wanted to run in Wisconsin’s primarily rural Seventh Congressional District, represented by retiring liberal icon David Obey. Duffy was...

Erick Erickson is apparently busy running around CPAC, but not too busy to fire off this little note on his personal blog over at RedState: Pardon me if you’ve heard this one already. I’m running around CPAC and have missed the news. Governor Palin has gone all in with Sean Duffy and Charlie Cook is now saying David Obey is in trouble. Coincidence? Probably not. Duffy is RedState’s candidate up there. I hope you’ll consider joining Governor Palin and us in supporting him. The refreshing thing about Governor Palin is her willingness to get into contested primaries. That’s the type...

Could Obey Be Coakley’d? Welcome to a new, real political world. By Kathryn Jean Lopez Goliath has been known to win, or he wouldn’t be Goliath. But he didn’t win this time. And that could significantly affect what happens in November. Scott Brown’s victory in the Massachusetts special election for the seat formerly considered by too many to be Ted Kennedy’s seat, is many varieties of good news. It’s especially good news for the Davids around the country who have their sights set on Washington. The “Yes, He Can” line emblazoned across the photo of Marco Rubio on NR’s cover...
