New evidence about the 2007 Virginia Tech killings shed new light on the arrogance and hypritical stance of University leaders. The murder of 32 students was the worst mass shooting in U.S. history until the Ft. Hood massacre last month and remains the worst school shooting ever on U.S. soil. Virginia Tech is no stranger to violence. They had two shootings in the 2006-2007 school year. A student worried about the possibility of another shooting asked school officials to reconsider their "no guns" policy. School officials not only a href="http://www.buckeyefirearms.org/node/3669" target="_blank">rebuffed and mocked that request, they also cheered the defeat...

A school district in Arizona has come under fire after a newspaper columnist highlighted the district's newly adopted racial policy and called it a "two-tiered form of student discipline: one for black and Hispanic students; one for everyone else." "TUSD principals and disciplinarians (assuming such creatures still exist) are being asked to set two standards of behavior for their students," MacEachern commented. "Some behavior will be met with strict penalties; some will not. It all depends on the color of the student's skin."

Like many mothers from this area, I was astonished and sickened to see the brutal beating on the Belleville school bus that made headlines all over the country. I have no idea if this was racially motivated as I wasn't there and I don't want to fuel that speculation. If someone is beating the snot out of you, it doesn't matter what the motivation is -- it is reprehensible no matter what. But, like many people, I wondered what on earth were the lives and backgrounds of the bullies like that they would behave like this? Monday night, I was...

"It is significant that as schools have removed corporal punishment, schools have become more violent," Family First national director Bob McCoskrie said today. "School yard bullying...

The Missouri House passed a bill that makes changes in the concealed weapons law. Currently, the law requires a holder to be at least 23, among other conditions. The existing law also allows Missouri universities to institute a policy to make them “gun-free zones.” When Missouri’s original conceal-and-carry law was passed, the University of Missouri promptly adopted the policy making the campus a gun-free zone. The proposed law would lower the age of a concealed-carry permit holder to 21 and take away the right of public colleges and universities to ban concealed carry weapons on campus.
