Authorities in the nation's capital say more than one person is responsible for the slayings of four people inside a Washington mansion last week. A fugitive task force arrested Daron Dylon Wint Thursday night, and took five people who were with him into custody. Wint is the only person currently charged with the murder of Savvas Savopoulos; his wife Amy; their 10-year-old son, Philip; and their housekeeper, Veralicia Figueroa. But a court document suggests investigators aren't done making arrests. It says "the crimes described in this affidavit required the presence and assistance of more than one person."

D.C. police said late Wednesday that they have identified a suspect in the killings of Savvas Savopoulos, his wife, young son and housekeeper, who authorities believe were held captive in the family’s Northwest Washington home. Police said they had obtained a warrant for the arrest of Daron Dylon Wint, who they said is 34 and is from Maryland. They said they do not know his whereabouts. The stunning break in the case came after police matched Wint to DNA found on the crust of a Domino’s pizza that had been ordered to the house the night of May 13, as...

The Savopoulos family was having a busy week. The husband was trying to get a new martial arts center in Chantilly, Va., ready for a grand opening, and he enlisted the help of one of his housekeepers. His wife was ill, and their 10-year-old son was recovering from injuries suffered in a go-kart crash. The days and hours leading up to the deaths of Savvas and Amy Savopoulos, and two others believed to be their son and another housekeeper, came into sharper focus Saturday with new details from police records. They show attempts by friends and relatives to reach the...

The mysterious deaths of four people found in a burning house in Northwest Washington on Thursday afternoon prompted police to ask the public for help in investigating what they called a highly suspicious fire. Police said that three adults and a child, whose identities were not released, were found on the second floor of a home on Woodland Drive NW, just north of the vice president’s residence at the U.S. Naval Observatory. Police did not say how they died. Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier said that detectives were trying to track the movements of a blue 2008 Porsche, with D.C....
