I’m A Dead Sandy Hook Teacher 12/18/2012 I want to tell you about my recent death. I will be brief, because I know there are many other stories to be told about my tragic day. I hope that my death brings about the the type of conversation that will help to prevent more unnecessary deaths of teachers and children, or of any persons caught in similar circumstances. I was a normal person. I liked many of the things that you like. But mostly I loved my children and I loved teaching them. That is what I was doing four days...

-snip- One of those killed, first-grade teacher Victoria Soto, died after hiding her students, a source told The Courant. Soto was a teacher in room 10, the classroom next to where the shooting began, the source said. She hid her students — 15 or 16 of them, some possibly in a bathroom — before the gunman entered the room. He wanted to shoot more people, the source said, but, seeing no one but Soto, he shot her, then left the room, the source sad.
