he house at 1212 1/2 West Front Street in Plainfield, N.J., is a conventional midcentury home with slate-gray siding, white trim and Victorian lines. When I stood in front of it on a breezy day in October, I could hear the cries of children from the playground of an elementary school around the corner. American flags fluttered from porches and windows. The neighborhood is a leafy, middle-class Anytown. The house is set back off the street, near two convenience stores and a gift shop. On the door of Superior Supermarket was pasted a sign issued by the Plainfield police: ''Safe...

Univision anchor Jorge Ramos said on Monday that America has a responsibility to “easily absorb” the caravan migrants and claimed it can do so “without significant economic consequences.” “It’s not an invasion. The U.S. can easily absorb these refugees without significant economic consequences. Many countries in the world help the 65 M people who are displaced,” Ramos claimed in an Instagram post. “And the most powerful nation in history also has responsibilities. We simply have to do our share.” On Monday, San Diego Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott noted that “the vast majority of those, from what we call the...

Open borders tour guides in Mexico illegally shepherding 1,500 Central Americans to the United States border declared victory this week. Mexican officials reportedly are offering humanitarian visas to avert a showdown. But the parade of immigration lawlessness marches on -- with reckless aiding and abetting by churches across the U.S. Pueblo Sin Fronteras, the group in charge of the annual "migrant caravan," launched its effort during Holy Week by invoking the Stations of the Cross with biblical costumery and prop crosses. When they're not serving as human traffickers masquerading as human rights activists, these travel agents for amnesty busy themselves...

Tijuana (Mexico) (AFP) - Hundreds of Central American migrants staged a boisterous demonstration on the US Mexico border Thursday, screaming for President Donald Trump to let them in as US soldiers and riot police put on a menacing show of force. The increased tension over the presence of a thousands-strong migrant caravan came as Trump marked Thanksgiving Day by threatening to close the border if he thinks Mexico has lost control of it. Vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the busy San Ysidro crossing came to a halt for 40 minutes as dozens of US police wearing helmets and holding rifles...

A San Diego State University team received one of the first grants from California’s Climate Change Research Program, created by the state legislature in 2017 to support research on reducing carbon emissions. The nearly $1.8 million award was the second largest of 10 awarded by the California Strategic Growth Council from among nearly 70 proposals submitted. The funding comes from the state cap-and-trade program, which limits and “auctions” rights to greenhouse gas emissions in California. SDSU biologist Rebecca Lewison and senior research scientist Megan Jennings lead the grant-funded project, which will focus on integrating ecosystem and local community planning to...

It’s a Trumpian dream come true in TJ: mobs seeking to attack migrants as they arrive seeking asylum. With passions inflamed by –at best– hyperbolic claims made on social media, anti-migrant protests led by various right wing groups have been taking place as elements of the caravan demonized by the U.S. President and his cohorts have been arriving in Tijuana. One Facebook post claimed Hondurans tortured and killed a dog. Another claimed LGBTQ migrants were seeking molest children. The first group to arrive was about 400 refugees, mostly from Honduras. Initially they staying in Playas de Tijuana, on the border...

Just reported here in San Diego that a suspicious package has been discovered at the local newspaper the Union Tribune. The building has now been evacuated. I mean come on… the Union Tribune? Debbie Wasserman Schultz? Why not just paint a false flag on your four head and go running through the street screaming the GOP is bad the GOP is bad the GOP is bad .... Hillary Clinton conveniently being at a microphone just to give her opinion… This is better choreographed than a concert at Carnegie Hall What a JOKE!!!

No one was injured in the emergency landing, which one California Highway Patrol official called "nothing short of a miracle." A student-pilot had been preparing to land at nearby Gillespie Field when the engine failed, according to CHP. The instructor took control of the aircraft and managed to land the plane safely, avoiding homes, power lines and traffic as he touched down on the busy highway, originally blocking two lanes of freeway before guiding the plane to the Mollison Avenue off-ramp for I-8 West, which was still blocked as of 4 p.m. The site of the landing was less than...

Duncan Hunter (R-CA) demanded Thursday that his Democratic opponent, Ammar Campa-Najjar, return a $250.00 donation he received last year from Palestinian ambassador Feda Abdelhady Nasser, Deputy Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine [sic] to the United Nations. Breitbart News reported the unusual donation on Wednesday from Abdelhady Nasser, the second-ranking Palestinian diplomat at the U.N. Ambassador Abdelhady is the daughter of Palestinian immigrants to the U.S. “A campaign contribution from a representative of a state which sponsors attacks on Israel’s citizens is troubling to Americans,” Hunter said in a press release. “Why is Palestine supporting the election of...

Photos posted online from Las Vegas show a massive turnout for President’s Trump’s campaign rally being held Thursday night at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The half-mile-plus lines in the 95 degree heat are reminiscent of the huge crowds that turned out in 2015-2016 for Trump’s presidential campaign rallies. The Washington Post’s Ashley Parker reported on the enthusiasm of the Trump supporters, “Some brief anecdotal scene from the Trump rally here in Las Vegas: One woman drove in from San Diego. Another drove 16 hours from Elk City, Idaho. A man and his son flew down from Washington State. And...

Last week California’s Department of Motor Vehicles sent 23,000 “erroneous” voter registrations to the office of Secretary of State Alex Padilla, who maintains the list of registered voters. The DMV blamed it technical errors and said none of the erroneous registrations involved undocumented immigrants. Padilla was “extremely disappointed and deeply frustrated” and the DMV assured him it wouldn’t happen again. Legitimate voters have good reason to believe Padilla was not disappointed but delighted. The odds are strong that illegals make up most if not all of the newly registered voters. The registrations of illegals will be happening again, in...

California Democratic congressional candidate Ammar Campa-Najjar was barely on anyone’s radar last week in his longshot bid against [recently indicted] GOP Rep. Duncan Hunter, in an overwhelmingly Republican district. With his [now] boosted chances, though, has come scrutiny of his dark family past -- his grandfather was a member of the Palestinian Black September terror group that killed 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich.
