    U.S. House ^ | November 2012 | Rep. Ron Paul
Note: If you prefer to watch/listen then check out the YouTube (48 minutes long) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAOR77sUS88November 2012 Mr. Speaker: This may be the last time I speak on the House Floor. At the end of the year I’ll leave Congress after 23 years in office over a 36 year period. My goals in 1976 were the same as they are today: promote peace and prosperity by a strict adherence to the principles of individual liberty. It was my opinion, that the course the U.S. embarked on in the latter part of the 20th Century would bring us a major financial crisis...

Ron Paul's campaign is out with this new ad in South Carolina, which hits Rick Santorum on his "record of betrayal." "One serial hypocrite exposed," the ad says, showing clips of Newt Gingrich. "Now another has emerged: Rick Santorum, a corporate lobbyist and Washington politician. A record of betrayal."
  • Ex-aide calls Rep. Ron Paul's foreign policy views 'pure lunacy'

A former congressional aide to Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) has written a piece slamming the presidential hopeful's foreign-policy views, calling them "pure lunacy" in an online post on the conservative website Rightwingnews.com. The long piece by former aide Eric Dondero alleges awkward treatment by Paul of gays and Jews, but saves its strongest criticisms for his policy positions. "It’s his foreign policy that’s the problem; not so much some stupid and whacky things on race and gays he may have said or written in the past," he writes. Dondero writes that Paul does not believe Israel should exist, that the...

Here is Ron Paul in the debate last night. This is Bret Baier. [SNIP] Bret Baier: "Congressman Paul, many Middle East experts now say that Iran may be less than one year away from getting a nuclear weapon. Now, judging from your past statements, even if you had solid intelligence that Iran, in fact, was going to get a nuclear weapon, President Paul would remove the US sanctions on Iran, including those added by the Obama administration. So to be clear: GOP nominee Ron Paul would be running left of President Obama on the issue of Iran?" PAUL: You know...
  • Vanity: Let's have a rational discussion on Ron Paul and the Liberty Movement

I want to have a sane discussion on Ron Paul and the growing Liberty Movement. Every time I or other freepers bring up we get people telling us Dr. Paul is crazy or we are crazy to support him and other constitutionalist politicians. When I posted a video on the success of the Free State Movement in New Hampshire ppl responded with "your crazy" and hinting the movement had failed. How could ppl say the movement failed when they've had numerous successes? I see liberals and commies such as this weirdo mock us which I would expect but why the...

Ron Paul explains why we need to put our money in gold and how we can do that as America slowly drifts towards socialism. I'm fully aware I can't change any one's mind about Dr. Paul on FR but please listen to this video you might agree with some of what he says.

Grizzled Bear Government Wasteful Spending Eliminated By Ron Paul From pendexusa | 03/16/2009 8:34:12 PM PDT new Hello, Ron Paul is for the people, unless you want your children to have human implant RFID chips, a National ID card and create a North American Union and see an economic collapse far worse than the great depression. Vote for Ron Paul he speaks the...

As the Democratic presidential candidates held pre-primary rallies yesterday in Indiana and North Carolina, and presumptive Republican nominee John McCain spoke to the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, another major-party presidential candidate continued his own quest for nomination, headlining a "Freedom Rally" on a Fort Wayne, Ind., university campus. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.) told supporters in early March, through a Web video, that he knew he was no longer in the running for the presidency, and aides said his campaign would be "winding down." But it turns out Paul never stopped running for president.

It was a horrible, shocking, unnerving experience. Reading some of the things Barack Obama's pastor has said, I suddenly saw something with which I completely agree!! He said five days after 9/11: "We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye...." His point: Chickens were coming home to roost. I agree. We certainly committed terrorism and murder when we dropped two atomic bombs on open cities in Japan. And, as Ron Paul has said, correctly, re: 9/11: The terrorists were over here because,...

I am a long-time poster here, but I have to admit that I never gave Ron Paul serious consideration because (1)many of his most vocal supporters are nuts and (2) he can't hold his own in a debate. But looking at the substance of the man, I finally realized his conservatism is almost exactly the same as mine: He is a small government, pro-life, pro-marriage, constitutionalist. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Ron_Paul#Stem-cell_research_regulation If not for his unpopular stance on the futility trying to police the globe, I think he would have had much more support among the GOP's conservative base. There is just no way, now...

Paul supporters claim to believe that Paul will shrink the size of the federal government by ending trillions in military, intelligence and foreign aid spending, the day he’s elected. Yet when questioned by Russert about the specifics of such a bold plan, Paul had no specifics about how such a plan could ever actually be implemented. He didn’t even know how many troops would have to be recalled from around the world. Russert had to tell him. He has repeatedly stated that he wants to abolish the Department of Education, the FBI, the IRS and the Income Tax, as well...

About one thing Mike Huckabee is right (OK, maybe two): The presidential hopeful told Chris Matthews that if Republicans want to win the 2008 election, they must nominate a candidate who'll appeal to as many independents and Democrats as possible. Dark horse Huckabee expressed the hope that he was the man. Wishful thinking aside, when it comes to Iraq, Huckabee and the rest of the Republican candidates for president, bar Ron Paul, are at odds with the American people. According to every conceivable poll – Gallup, Rasmussen, ABC News/Washington Post – most Americans now oppose the war in Iraq, deem...
