Diamond and Silk unloaded a chorus of attacks on socialism, the Green New Deal, anti-Israel politicians and race-baiting hate-crime hoaxes in a fiery tandem address at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Thursday, prompting some of the biggest standing ovations and loudest chants of the day. CPAC, held in National Harbor, Maryland, offered opportunities throughout the day for prominent Republicans -- including Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee, as well as North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows -- to sound off on current events, as Ronald Reagan soundbites occasionally sounded throughout the halls. Then...

As the president promotes and excitedly tweets about a potential for peace between the two warring Koreas, he has displayed almost as much excitement over the recent overtures of one of America’s most acclaimed rappers. But it wasn’t just about Kanye this week. President Donald Trump and his allies once again plunged feet first into the pop-culture wars, riffing on Canadian singer-songwriter Shania Twain, YouTube celebs Diamond & Silk, and, of course, his bizarre bromance with Kanye West. It’s a sign that shows how vanishingly little has changed about Trump’s priorities and character ever since assuming the highest office in...

During Donald Trump’s presidential campaign he’s professed love for women, "the Hispanics," "the blacks," "the Muslims" and myriad other groups he has offended — yet hard numbers show they don't love him back. Seventy-seven percent of Hispanics and seven in 10 women view him unfavorably, according to recent Gallup polls. A black doctor who was fired for supposedly inflammatory sermons unrelated to his medical work filed a lawsuit against the state of Georgia on Wednesday, claiming religious discrimination. This is particularly ironic, considering the governor of that state recently vetoed a religious liberty bill.Dr. Eric Walsh previously served on President Obama's Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS, was a board member of the Latino Health Collaborative, and started California's first city-run dental clinic for low-income families dealing with AIDS. Nevertheless, Walsh was fired only one week after being hired by Georgia's Department of Public Health. Right before Walsh was terminated, the...

group of Donald Trump’s minority and women voters say they don’t believe he is bigoted and are serving as his “eyes and ears on the ground.” The group, which calls itself the National Diversity Coalition for Trump, met briefly with the GOP front-runner at Trump Tower in Manhattan on the eve of the New York primary. Darrell Scott, a pastor who is head of the group, said its members have “disdain for certain characterizations of Mr. Trump as bigoted, xenophobic, racist demagogue that we know to be untrue.”
