Talk at the barbar shop turn to politicts and one old guy made me laugh out loud when he said: "Electing Barack was like electing a Jackie Robinson who couldn't hit."

Somali officials confirmed today that Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, al Qaeda's leader in East Africa and a senior Shabaab commander, was killed at a Somali military checkpoint in Mogadishu earlier this week. Fazul is one of the most wanted terrorists in East Africa for his role in attacks on US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania as well as his role within Shabaab. Somalia's minister of information confirmed Fazul's death, according to The Associated Press. "We've compared the pictures of the body to his old pictures," he said. "They are the same. It is confirmed. He is the man and he is...

Art Robinson had the gall to run for Congress in Oregon against far-left Democrat Peter DeFazio, co-founder of the House Progressive Caucus. Now the Oregon progressives are targeting his children. World Net Daily reported: In an effort to do my part in rescuing our country from the out-of-control Obama administration, last year I ran for Congress in Oregon’s 4th District against 12-term incumbent, far-left Democrat Peter DeFazio, co-founder of the House Progressive Caucus. Although I won the nominations of the Republican, Independent and Constitution Parties and the endorsement of the Libertarian Party, a massive media smear campaign by DeFazio, paid...

In an effort to do my part in rescuing our country from the out-of-control Obama administration, last year I ran for Congress in Oregon's 4th District against 12-term incumbent, far-left Democrat Peter DeFazio, co-founder of the House Progressive Caucus...Although I had never run for public office before, I immediately announced my candidacy for Congress again in 2012. However, when you take a stand for what's right, sometimes there is retribution. On Nov. 4, 2010, as soon as the election results were in and they were sure their candidate had won, faculty administrators at Oregon State University gave new meaning to...

How is Jim doing? I have not heard anything since we learned he was going to the hospital. He has been in my prayers.

Just a quick trip down memory lane for those who think “Take Back America” has an obviously racist connotation.

Former US president Jimmy Carter joined several hundred protesters in the weekly anti-settlement demonstration in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah on Friday. Carter was joined by Mary Robinson, the former president of Ireland and former UN High Commissioner of Human Rights. Carter addressed the crowd, stating that he does not believe that destroying houses or evicting families from homes they have inhabited for generations are just actions that can lead to peace. He praised the Sheikh Jarrah protesters and said that he hoped their struggle would soon bear fruit. (Snip) On Thursday, Carter and a delegation of influential

VIDEO 7:16 min. This week on Uncommon Knowledge, Thomas Sowell, economist, social observer, journalist and author. A fellow at the Hoover Institution, Dr. Sowell has just published a new volume, Dismantling America. Whom does Dr. Sowell accuse of dismantling the nation? Among others, the President of the United States. I see Obama as someone who all his life has been associated with, and part of, a group of people who fundamentally don’t believe in the principles of this country — people who think that Americans need to be changed, whether we want to be or not.

This very short video, showing Chris Mathews, Eugene Robinson, and Patrick Buchanan, debating the merits or demerits of “affirmative action” in the NBA, but for those whom this motley crew calls, “whitey” so to be able to shoot hoops at NBA basketball sporting events. Even Mr. Robinson comments: “I think the white players at least got to be able to shoot.” while laughing out loud. All this about progress on issues about race.

I need some clairfication. I was listening to Laura Ingraham, on and off, this morning when I caught the last minute of the show.

Let’s get this straight: The federal deficit is such a big crisis that we can’t extend benefits for millions of Americans who are unemployed, many of them in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure?

But without a second thought we can extend a massive, temporary tax cut for the rich, even though asking the wealthy to pay their fair share would go a long way toward erasing the deficit?

When Lee May cracked a two-bouncer inside the third-base line in game one of the 1970 World Series, Brooks Robinson’s response was nothing short of legendary. Wheeling three paces to his right, Baltimore’s third baseman fielded the ball in foul territory, took two more steps and threw against his momentum. The throw bounced once on its way to first baseman Boog Powell and beat May. It was one of many in a spectacular defensive performance by Robinson that helped the Orioles defeat the Cincinnati Reds in five games, as the World Series MVP lived up to his nickname of the...

A teacher at Genesee Elementary School in Auburn has been arrested for stealing lunch money. Police say 37-year-old Alan Robinson of Ithaca, a third-grade teacher at Genesee, used children's subsidized school lunch cards to buy himself lunch, and then never repaid the students. Robinson would have kids bring their own lunch to school, and then use their personal ID numbers to buy himself lunch. According to a state database, Robinson's salary is $50,000 a year. The investigation began after a parent saw suspicious charges on her bill. Robinson has been charged with three counts of petit larceny and three counts...

BELFAST, Northern Ireland – A political scandal riveting Northern Ireland has a certain cinematic feel: an affair by 58-year-old woman named Mrs. Robinson with a 19-year-old male lover. Five separate Facebook groups with hundreds of followers have sprung up, lampooning the affair and comparing it to the 1967 film, "The Graduate." But there is a serious side to the story of Iris Robinson, who also happens to be a member of Parliament and the wife of Peter Robinson — Northern Ireland's government leader.

This just looks bad. Really bad. The New York Times Company has been required to reveal startling management incompetence, an inability to correctly apply its own executive compensation scheme to the top two figures in the company, overpaying the bosses. Publicly-traded corporations like the Times must file a Form 8K within four days of various events, so the details of the screw-up are now on the record. The company filed the 8K following the end of trading yesterday. A summary of the substance is here.

NAMPA, Idaho (AP) - About a block from a street concert in downtown Nampa, Melissa Sue Robinson strolls with purpose into a trendy coffee shop - the unofficial liberal embassy of this sprawling Republican stronghold in southwest Idaho. Dressed in a cream-colored pantsuit, a political flier clutched in one hand, a soft brown leather purse in the other, she orders a mocha and takes a seat as a group of teenagers stare at her from near the door. The 58-year-old was born male and still carries the slightly larger-than-an-average-woman build of Charles Staelens Jr., who legally changed his name and...

Ken Jacob locked eyes with "Skip" Ohlsen and asked him a simple question. "What's your name?" "Skip," said Ohlsen. Jacob was in no mood to play games. It was early 2005. Just months removed from a 20-year career as an influential Missouri lawmaker, the Democrat from Columbia was now in his new job working for a union in the capital city. He had been to a few meetings with Ohlsen and, like other Democratic operatives, had begun to question the man's credentials. Something just didn't feel right. The former minority leader of the Senate, known for his combative style and...
