Judge Chatigny has a track record of favoring sexual predators over women and children. Now this same judge is prejudicing the case against female athletes by imposing a speech code on their counsel. The year was 2010. President Barack Obama was in office, and Democrats controlled the Senate. Obama could practically get any judge he wanted, but he could not get his nominee to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, Robert Chatigny, confirmed based on ChatignyÂ’s track record of favoring sexual predators over women and children. Now this same judge is prejudicing the case against female athletes...

Attorneys representing three high school girls in a lawsuit aimed at barring transgender female athletes from competing in women’s divisions have filed a motion calling on the presiding judge to recuse himself after he forbid the attorneys from referring the transgender athletes as “males.” The lawsuit was filed by nonprofit Alliance Defending Freedom in February on behalf of the families of three female high school track athletes who say their transgender competitors are enjoying an unfair advantage. The lawsuit challenges the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference policy that allows students who identify as female to participate in women’s sports and argues...

U.S. District Judge Robert Chatigny, a Bill Clinton appointee who Obama tried unsuccessfully to elevate to the federal appellate court, said in an April 16 conference call with the attorneys that they had to abide by his politically-correct terminology for the student-athletes at the heart of the case, according to a transcript obtained by the National Review. “What I’m saying is you must refer to them as ‘transgender females” rather than as ‘males.’ Referring to these individuals as ‘transgender females’ is consistent with science, common practice and perhaps human decency. To refer to them as ‘males,’ period, is not accurate,...

The nomination of Judge Robert Chatigny to be promoted to the 2nd District Court of Appeals has been derailed in the U.S. Senate for the time being. Americans for Limited Government, of which this site is a part of, ran several ads exposing Chatigny’s true character. According to Capitol Watch, U.S. Senate Republicans have derailed President Obama’s nomination of Hartford district judge Robert N. Chatigny to the federal appeals court, likely postponing the controversial appointment to next year when partisan opposition is expected to grow. The Senate’s minority Republicans invoked a procedural rule which has the effect of removing Chatigny’s...

Here is video from Sean Hannity tonight who reported that President Obama is trying to appoint a man to the bench as a Federal Judge on the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, who has been sympathetic toward a serial killer. Michael Ross was “the most notorious serial killer in the state of Connecticut.” Between 1981 and 1984 he raped and murdered eight young women. Ross was sentenced to death by a Connecticut jury in 1987. But Judge Robert Chatigny went out of his way to keep the execution from taking place. In fact, GOP Sen. Jeff Sessions says he has...

This week, the Senate may take up the controversial nomination of Robert Chatigny for the 2nd Circuit Court of Appleals, after being reported from the Judiciary Committee on June 10th. Chatigny currently serves for the U.S. District Court of Connecticut, where he made his claim to fame by ordering a stay of execution in 2005 for convicted serial rapist and murderer Michael Ross. In a last-minute hearing before Ross’ scheduled execution, Chatigny infamously opined that Ross, who had confessed to raping and killing eight young women aged between 14 to 25, “never should have been convicted”. In that hearing, Chatigny...

Note: Photo and video included. "Obama’s Appeals Court Nominee Sent to Full Senate with Record of Leniency for Sex Offenders, Serial Killer" SNIPPET: "U.S. District Judge Robert Chatigny of Connecticut took what many considered extraordinary judicial actions in 2005 to prevent the execution of a serial killer, and the judge also has a record of lenient sentencing for sex offenders. Nevertheless, the Senate Judiciary Committee, on a party-line vote, sent his nomination to the full Senate on Thursday. The committee vote was 11-7-1, with only Democrat, Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California, abstaining. All the Republicans voted against the nomination. “This...

The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold hearings this afternoon on the nomination of Judge Robert Chatigny to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Judge Chatigny can expect plenty of skepticism about his suitability, given his handling of a case involving Michael Ross, a Connecticut serial killer who raped and murdered at least eight women and girls. The facts are summarized in this article in the American Spectator. Chatigny found that the sexual sadism of Ross -- known as the Roadside Strangler -- was a mitigating factor in his case. He went so far as to state that, given his sadism,...

The Senate Judiciary Committee has postponed the hearing for a controversial Court of Appeals nominee after the panel received a letter from a home-state prosecutor blasting the candidate as a judicial loose cannon and after Republicans raised concerns about bias in favor of sex offenders. U.S. District Court Judge Robert Chatigny gained notoriety in 2005 for his role in trying to fight the execution of convicted serial killer and rapist Michael Ross, also known as The Roadside Strangler, whom Chatigny had described as a victim of his own "sexual sadism." His conduct in that case, which included threatening to go...
