The fascists, believed to be connected to the Traditionalist Worker Party, charged a group of anti-fascist protesters as they were dispersing. Police in riot gear moved in to restore order. Protesters were drawn to campus because of a speech by conservative activist Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA, which says on its website is devoted to the promotion of the principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets and limited government.

Several businesses in and near downtown are closing early in response to the Jason Stockley verdict. The home office of Wells Fargo Advisors closed at 10 a.m. Friday. The 4,900 employees at the Market Street campus west of downtown were "strongly encouraged to take their laptops home" and continue working there," based on a statement from the company.

St. Louis Circuit Judge Timothy Wilson's highly anticipated verdict found a white former St. Louis police officer not guilty of first-degree murder and amed criminal action in the December 2011 shooting death of a black drug suspect after a high-speed pursuit and crash. Eric Greitens has assured black faith leaders in St. Louis that the rights of peaceful protesters will be protected if unrest occurs after a judge rules in a former police officer's murder trial. PORTLAND -- Violence broke out between opposing groups at an anti-white nationalist rally in Portland that left at least one police officer injured, CBS affiliate KOIN-TV reports. PHOENIX - Phoenix police say they’ve arrested a man who allegedly kicked a can of tear gas at officers after the President Trump rally earlier this week. Police shot the man with a pepper ball moments after he kicked the canister. The Alameda County District Attorney filed a felony charge against Kyle Chapman yesterday for possession of a leaded stick. The charges stem from a melee between Trump supporters and anti-fascists in Berkeley on March 4.
