Welcome to my post for this week's FReep. For the last couple of months my computer has been down so I've been unable to post July and August FReeps. Rest assured though, I've been faithfully FReeping the moonbats of Citizens Action For Peace during those months. Attending this FReep was Kelly, fellow FReeper SHATNERFAN1706, and me. Today's FReep consisted of Mary Bell, Kelly, and me. Despite triple digit temperatures here in redlands we still had a great time and enjoyed seeing the moonbats spirits melt as we got many more honks than they did along with many waves and thumbs up. A man with his two young kids walking by stopped and talked with us a little. He was an Army veteran and he thanked us and said he appreciated what we were doing. We had clear skies and warm temps for this FReep. It was Mary, Kelly, and me this Friday. About fifteen minutes after I had set everything up a young man named Devan came up to me and shook my hand. He said he had just enlisted in the Army and was going to be a Ranger. He said he appreciated us for supporting him and the rest our troops. This Friday's two man FReep was wet but fun. For a couple days we here in southern California got a taste of the type of weather folks in the Midwest and back east usually endure. Due to a freak spring storm we had heavy showers, hail, snow in the mountains, and even a few small tornadoes in various parts of the region which is odd for southern California, especially this time of year. Welcome to FReep #16. It was Mary, Kelly, and me for this Friday's FReep. As usual our side received more honks than what the moonbats could ever hope to get and we got many waves, thumbs up, and a few kind words from passing motorists. The moonbats seemed a bit more tired and worn out today. While most of their group usually shows up between 4:30 to 4:45 there were only a handful of them from 4:20 to about 5:15. With Kelly having to work late and Mary unable to come out, this Friday's FReep was a one man operation. Despite being by myself I still had a lot of fun. I managed to get more honks than the moonbats did, despite being outnumbered and got a few great comments and even a hug from folks walking by. Welcome to the Redlands FReep #14. For the last couple of weeks my computer has been down so I was unable to post threads for FReeps #12 and #13. I had a good time FReeping on those two Fridays and hope nobody thought I decided to cut & run. Computers are wonderful pieces of technology but they can be a pain when they don't work right. This day's FReep was rather ordinary but still loads of fun. It was Kelly and me for today. As usual we got many more honks and waves than the moonbats did. This Friday's FReep started out with Mary Bell and I. With Kelly unable to make it because of having to work late, I thought it was just going to be us two for the evening. I was pleasantly wrong. Welcome to my latest post. It was Kelly and me for this day's FReep. We got our typical 80% more honks than the moonbats did along with the many waves and thumbs up from passing drivers. The skies were clear and the temps were in the mid seventies for this Friday's FReep. It was Kelly and me this evening and like most Friday's we got many more honks and waves than the moonbats did. The Screeching Pinko returned, and though she didn't say anything to us this time, she would wave frantically and squeal "thank you" when ever the moonbats would get a rare honk or two. We had mild temps and clear skies this Friday and three patriots, (Kelly, Mary Bell, and me) ready to take on the moonbats of Citizens Action For Peace. My new banner, made by the good folks at Signs Now here in Redlands, gave us greater firepower and got us more honks and feedback than usual. Even though the moonbat's banner is larger, ours with the message "GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM" packed a much greater punch. This evening's two man Freep was a little on the wet side due to the rain but our spirits were in no way dampened. In fact this was one of our more enjoyable Freeps due to Screeching Pinko. Shortly after Kelly arrived I began shooting pics of the "Band of Losers" across the street when I heard one of the CodePinkos screeching out "Peace Out Freeper" in a shrieking voice that sounded something like Hillary Clinton's. I couldn't help but laugh and Kelly told me I should be honored. I agree. There's nothing more enjoyable than spoiling a Pinko's fun....

The temps were back down to normal this week but we still had clear skies making for good dry Freeping weather. Our team today was Kelly and I. Kelly brought his new sign that said "Love Our Troops Honk 3 Times Peace, Baby". This was a great evening for freeping. The partly cloudy skies gave us a dry Freep and we got more honks and positive reactions from passing motorists than usual. After being gone for a few weeks due to an ankle injury Mary Bell returned with the picture of her grandson Tim, who is serving in Iraq, Mary always holds up the picture along with one of our signs. People always give her the nicest comments when they see her. She is an inspiration to us and we were glad to have her back. Kelly the ever faithful patriot joined us...

REDLANDS Federal investigators probing Rep. Jerry Lewis' ties to lobbyists are looking into a land deal that put nearly 41 pristine acres in the congressman's neighborhood off-limits to developers, The Associated Press has learned. The land was given to the city of Redlands by Jack and Laura Dangermond, who have donated generously to Lewis. The Dangermonds founded and run a company Environmental Systems Research Institute Inc. of Redlands that has gotten tens of millions of dollars' worth of contracts through the powerful House Appropriations Committee that Lewis, a Republican, now chairs. One government contract came months after the land donation....

REDLANDS -- They say one man can make a difference, but in this city it took two or perhaps none. A year and a half ago, the American Civil Liberties Union told Redlands officials that two residents had complained that the city's 42-year-old logo promoted Christianity because it bore the image of a cross. The rights group threatened to sue. The City Council voted in closed session to remove the cross from the logo. A former Claremont McKenna College psychology professor convicted of falsely reporting her car was vandalized and spray-painted with racist and anti-Semitic slurs was sentenced Wednesday to a year in state prison. Kerri Dunn, 40, of Redlands, was convicted Aug. 18 of one misdemeanor count of filing a false police report and two felony counts of attempted insurance fraud stemming from the March 9 incident. She had faced anywhere from probation to three years in prison. She had claimed her car was targeted in what at first appeared to be a hate crime while she was speaking at a campus forum...

REDLANDS - The city is putting a figurative fig leaf over a cross on its logo after the ACLU threatened legal action and said the city's 41-year-old sigil advocated Christianity. All of the Latin crosses that grace the lower right corner of the city's quartered logo will be covered up by April 30 with a blue sticker. Already, city sigils on doors at City Hall have had the cross covered. "From a personal standpoint, this is sad and disappointing,' said Mayor Susan Peppler. "But from a legal position, the city could never win this battle.' The change has come about...

REDLANDS, Calif. (AP) - Under pressure from the American Civil Liberties Union, the city is voluntary removing the cross on its logo rather than get tangled in a court battle that's doomed to fail.
