REDLANDS (CBSLA) – A large three-alarm commercial fire engulfed an Amazon Distribution Center in Redlands early Friday morning. The blaze was reported at 5:30 a.m. at 2255 West Lugonia Ave., in the area of the 10 Freeway and Mountain View Avenue. Video from the scene showed huge flames and plumes of black smoke shooting hundreds of feet into the air as Redlands Fire Department crews battled the blaze. It’s unclear if anyone was hurt. When a 28-year-old man contacted police Tuesday in Redlands, California, to report being stabbed on the street that morning, he left out a key detail, police said. A man who was linked Wednesday to the San Bernardino, Calif., shootings was described by someone who identified himself as his father as a Muslim who was "very religious." NBC News has reported that one of the suspects killed by police after the shootings at the Inland Regional Center is Syed Farook. Farook and a woman were killed in a gunfight with police in nearby Redlands after the rampage at the center that killed 14 people and wounded 17 others. School district officials were investigating a photo circulating on social media on Wednesday of a group of cheerleaders from Redlands East Valley High School posing in what appeared to be gang attire. The picture showed some of the girls had stuffed their shirts to look pregnant, while others flashed gang signs and were holding simulated weapons. Reaction to the photo was mixed. One parent commented “it’s really sad,” after viewing the photo on Facebook. Another parent thought it was just a harmless joke. “I think they’re just being teenagers, having fun, being silly,” parent Sherry Garcia said.

Welcome FReepers and Tea Party activists. There was a great tea party in Redlands that took place at the corner of Redlands Blvd and Orange St Thursday. It was loads of fun and the folks who attended were all excited and enjoyed the positive, and quite festive atmosphere of the event. Last year there were over 500 people at the Redlands Tea Party, and from what I saw there appeared to be at least that many, and possibly more this time around.
