    N. Korea blocked radio signals 2 days before missile launch: report (Kyodo) _ North Korea had blocked part of military radio and changed electronic signals two days before it test-fired the Taepodong-2 long-range missile, leading Japan and the United States to raise alert level early, the Sankei Shimbun reported Saturday in its online edition. On Tuesday, a day before the launch, North Korea also cordoned off a triangular area in the Sea of Japan, a move Japan and the United States took as signs of an imminent missile firing, the report said. Astronomers have completed their most sensitive search yet for radio signals from intelligent life in space. They believe the best way to find ET is to look for a radio signal. Such signals can travel vast distances. The Arecibo radio telescope in Puerto Rico, supported by Jodrell Bank, searched over a period of 10 years. The scientists looked at 800 nearby stars with no evidence of a signal from ET. They say they have learned a lot, and plan another search next year. From the ashes The last star scrutinised by Project Phoenix - the most powerful search for intelligent...

Brian Sussman show on KSFO ^ | 12-30-03 | Vanity
There has been a lot of signal interference on KSFO lately especially in the evening. Tonight a caller on Brian Sussman's show asked about it and was told by Brian that a Mexican Station from Mexico had recently moved to the same exact part of the radio dial as KSFO and was broadcasting an extremely strong signal. He said they had contacted the Federal authorities and they were looking into it. Excuse me for my lack of expertise in these matters by I thought it might interest some.
