As we wait for the press and others to go through the thousands of documents related to the Chicago Annenberg Challenge where Barack Obama served as President of the Board and terrorist William Ayers headed up the operations arm, we can say for certain that Obama is a liar of the first magnitude. Barack Obama made it appear in public statements that he barely knew Ayers. Here is what he said at the Philadelphia debate in April about his relationship with the terrorist: This is a guy who lives in my neighborhood, who's a professor of English in Chicago who...

For Wall and a few dozen others, Obama on the campaign trail often brings to mind Stanley Ann Dunham, Obama's mother and a strong-willed, unconventional member of the Mercer Island High School graduating class of 1960. "She was not a standard-issue girl of her times. ... She wasn't part of the matched-sweater-set crowd," said Wall, a classmate and retired philosophy teacher who used to make after-school runs to Seattle with Dunham to sit and talk -- for hours and hours -- in coffee shops. "She touted herself as an atheist, and it was something she'd read about and could argue,"...

The Obama campaign's Arab- and Muslim-American liaison has resigned after revelations of a brief association with a radical imam. Mazen Asbahi quit Monday because he did not want to be a "distraction" to the presidential campaign of US Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), The Wall Street Journal reported. Asbahi, a prominent Chicago lawyer, for a few weeks in 2000 had served on the board of the Allied Assets Advisors Fund affiliated with the North American Islamic Trust. Also serving on the board at that time was Jamal Said, an imam at a Chicago-area mosque known for his radical views. Said raised...

“Adam Smith is often wrongly seen as the patron of free market capitalism without a conscience.” -- Gordon Brown, Prime Minister (Labour Party) I just celebrated the most unusual 4th of July fireworks I’ve ever experienced -- in Edinburgh, Scotland, where Nobel Prize economist Vernon Smith unveiled a giant statue of Adam Smith, on Royal Mile Road. For decades, Marxists and socialists could go to the Highgate Cemetery in London and honor their patron saint, Karl Marx. Now, finally, we free-marketers can make our own pilgrimage to Edinburgh and worship our own hero to free-market capitalism.

Sometime later, after the events of 1968, I would look back at Hayden’s Bratislava speech as a turning point not only in the short history of the New Left but also in the history of American radicalism. Protesting against America’s wars has an honorable tradition, running from Thoreau to Eugene V. Debs and Norman Thomas. But starting with Hayden and continuing in the turbulent outbursts of 1968, that tradition of legitimate democratic opposition morphed into outright collaboration with the enemy.

It seems that almost weekly there is another assault on true marriage. The unrelenting efforts of an activist wing of the homosexual community have succeeded in reframing the issues of the debate and now aim to enforce nothing short of a Cultural Revolution. They have been joined by eager collaborators in the Judiciary and elected officials who believe they are some kind of new “liberators”. Notice the pervasive use of the language of this new Cultural Revolution. No longer are there any news reports using the word marriage for what it ontologically is, the lifelong union between one man and...

Barack Obama's political career boasts a long list of firsts. He is the first presumptive presidential nominee to be a native of Hawaii and the president of the Harvard Law Review. He's also the first candidate with more than 1 million contributors. ADVERTISEMENT Obama, an Illinois senator, is the first presumptive presidential nominee in modern times to have a father who wasn't a U.S. citizen, the first to earn an undergraduate degree from Columbia University in New York and the first to have attended Occidental College in Los Angeles. ``Obama's nomination would be historic in almost every respect that you...

National Review Online: Senator Approves Of The Political-Theological Outlooks Of Michael Pfleger and Jeremiah Wright Having now left Trinity United Church of Christ, can Barack Obama escape responsibility for his decades-long ties to Michael Pfleger and Jeremiah Wright? No, he cannot. Obama’s connections to the radical-left politics espoused by Pfleger and Wright are broad and deep. The real reason Obama bound himself to Wright and Pfleger in the first place is that he largely approved of their political-theological outlooks. Obama shared Wright’s rejection of black “assimilation.” Obama also shared Wright’s suspicion of the traditional American ethos of individual self-improvement and...

A man whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism. "Very few people were true Nazis "he said," but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had...

Gallup says only 7 percent of the world's Muslims are political radicals. Yet 36 percent think the 9/11 attacks were in some way justified. On the inside back cover of books published by Gallup Press there is the following breathtaking statement: Gallup Press exists to educate and inform the people who govern, manage, teach and lead the world's six billion citizens. Each book meets Gallup's requirements of integrity, trust and independence and is based on a Gallup-approved science and research. Don't be distracted by the bad grammar. Focus instead on Gallup's "requirements of integrity, trust and independence." Thanks to a remarkable...

A radical in the White House. Is it really possible? When all the sniping and dust-ups of the 2008 presidential campaign are over, it sure is going to be fascinating to see if “the anointed one” – Barack Obama – meets the expectations of a breathless, fawning media (will we ever forget Chris Matthews of MSNBC moaning about the “thrill up (my) leg” that he gets when Sen. Obama speaks?) and winds up winning the presidency. If he does, this simply has to be the first time in American history that we will have a true radical as commander-in-chief. This...

A radical environmentalist was sentenced Thursday to one year and one day in federal prison for speaking publicly about how to make a homemade Molotov cocktail. Rodney Coronado apologized for his past use of violent tactics in the name of animal rights and the environment, and said he had cut his ties to groups, including the Earth Liberation Front. "I have done things in my past that I now regret," Coronado told U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey Miller. He said he wanted to serve his sentence and then get on with his life in Tucson, Ariz. The 41-year-old activist pleaded...

THE REAL REASON WHY RADICAL LIBERALS DO NOT RESPOND TO DEBATE The reason why so many (though again, not all) liberals act this way is remarkably simple. In fact, for all those who’ve become so baffled by their seemingly inexplicable conduct, you may wonder how it has escaped you all these years (probably because it’s so easy to get so frustrated by their conduct that noticing the reason behind it becomes a matter not worth considering). The answer is bigotry. They’re prejudiced. Am I being ridiculous? Is liberalism the new bigotry? No, and yes! THE BIASED MINDSET THE THREE REASONS...

Arriving in the Port of Oakland at 6 a.m. last Thursday, the grey-blue colossus auto carrier Century Highway No. 3 carries enough cars to fill all the parking lots surrounding the Giants stadium — a mere fraction of the average 368 million annual tons of autos, toys, and other goods moving through the 29 ports along America's Pacific coast. Could there be a force of man or nature powerful enough to interrupt this perpetual merchandise tsunami? Would you believe — San Francisco radical peaceniks? On May 1, the usually bustling ports along the West Coast will become still, as members...

Apparently there is a little kerfuffle with Geraldine Ferraro saying that Obama would not be where he is if he wasn’t black: In an interview with the Breeze, Ferraro said, “If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman (of any color), he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.” The comment was picked up by political blogs and cable news shows across the country. The Obama campaign held a conference...

CHICAGO — An ousted American political science professor who believes some Jews have exploited the legacy of the Holocaust recently expressed his support for the terrorist organization Hezbollah. "I have no problem saying that I do want to express solidarity with them, and I'm not going to be a coward and a hypocrite about it," Finkelstein told Future TV. "I don't care about Hezbollah as a political organization....

I'm just going to focus on one issue and what McCain wants to do. That issue is immigration and this one issue alone is enough to prove that McCain is a radical. That McCain wants to radically transform America in a way that warms the cockles of Ted Kennedy's heart. McCain's active support for “immigration reform” excludes him from consideration for support by any non-leftwing, multi-culti, destroy America person. That means neither conservatives, nor Republicans, nor moderates, nor mainstream Democrats, nor Black Americans should consider voting for the Radical McCain. The agreed upon number of illegal immigrants in America is...

SAN DIEGO A radical environmentalist pleaded guilty Friday to distributing information on firebombs while giving a speech. The plea by Rodney Coronado, 41, came after his trial on the charge ended in September with a hung jury. His lawyers argued his innocence under the First Amendment. As part of the plea agreement, Coronado won't be prosecuted in other incidents, according to Gerald Singleton, his lawyer. "He really wants to give them a minimal pound of flesh and move on," Singleton said. Coronado is scheduled to be sentenced March 27. He could face up to 20 years in prison under post-Sept....

LONDON (Reuters) - A British court ruled Thursday that radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri could be extradited to the United States to face terrorism charges including trying to set up an al Qaeda training camp in Oregon. Egyptian-born Hamza, 49, serving a seven-year jail term in Britain for inciting his followers to murder nonbelievers, is wanted by U.S. authorities on 11 charges. The U.S. indictment accuses Hamza -- who had a hook in place of a missing hand -- of attempting to set up a terrorist training camp in Bly, Oregon, from 1999 to early 2000, and also providing...

Once long...long ago there existed a Democrat Party in the United States of America that truly believed that country should and must survive. It believed that the reasons for the country’s existence were worth protecting. The members of this political party also believed that it should assist in defending that country and its citizens against all those who would attack and attempt to destroy it. They supported the men and women who enlisted in the US’ citizen-military and some of them had even served in one of its branches. But, that was another time—in another reality. That political party and...

NEW YORK (CNN) -- A public school in New York that will teach Arabic language and culture opened Tuesday amid accusations that it will impose a radical Islamist agenda in its classrooms. About a dozen security guards and police officers were on patrol Tuesday when the Brooklyn school opened, mainly to shepherd the throngs of reporters covering the event. Much of the criticism was directed at the school's Arab-American founding principal, Debbie Almontaser. Two local tabloids reported claims she had ties to Islamic extremist organizations. The controversy reached a fever pitch when Almontaser was quoted defending the use of the...

That's the way Hillary and her hero Saul Alinsky viewed liberals. It was the same way the Old Left – the Communist Party – viewed liberals. Hillary quoted Alinsky in her thesis as explaining the difference between a liberal and a radical: "The liberal refuses to fight for the goals he professes." I'm sure Hillary still sees herself today as a "radical." But she could never use that term and remain a viable politician. So she has adopted another term – "progressive" – which means the same thing to those in the know. This is the favored term even today...

When Omid Safi of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, was asked recently by AP Press to comment on the Pew poll of American Muslims, which found that about a quarter of those between the ages of 18 and 29 approved of suicide bombings against civilians in at least some cases, he replied: “Given what’s happened in Iraq and Palestine, I would be shocked if there wasn’t discontent.” He expressed no outrage against the death of innocents, no blanket condemnation of a death-loving ideology. And, in academe at least, there was no reaction to Safi’s attempt to justify the...

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich told Liberty University's graduating class Saturday to honor the spirit of school founder Jerry Falwell by confronting "the growing culture of radical secularism" with Christian ideals. Gingrich, who is considering a 2008 presidential run, quoted Bible passages to a crowd of about 17,000 packed into the university's football stadium four days after Falwell's death. Despite the somber tone of the day, graduates who covered the football field chanted "Jerry! Jerry!" in tribute to Falwell. "A growing culture of radical secularism declares that the nation cannot profess the truths on which it was...

VENICE, Italy - Security officials from Europe's largest countries backed a plan Saturday to profile mosques on the continent and identify radical Islamic clerics who raise the threat of homegrown terrorism. Theo van Gogh was a modern Western man, a believer in reason, tolerance and multiculturalism. And so it is perhaps fitting that his last words were: ?Can?t we talk about this?? Young, British Muslims 'getting more radical' By Graeme Wilson, Political Correspondent Last Updated: 2:05am GMT 29/01/2007 A bleak picture of a generation of young British Muslims radicalised by anti-Western views and misplaced multicultural policies is shown in a survey published today. The study found disturbing evidence of young Muslims adopting more fundamentalist beliefs on key social and political issues than their parents or grandparents. xxxx Forty per cent of Muslims between the ages of 16 and 24 said they would prefer to live under sharia law in Britain, a legal system based on the teachings of the Koran. Where are all moderate Muslims? http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/editorial/outlook/4468083.html Where are all moderate Muslims? An answer to what has become a ubiquitous question By JILL CARROLL I have given hundreds of talks and lectures throughout the Houston area in the past few years on issues of world religion and religion in public life. The question that always comes in the Q&A no matter what the topic, no matter if the audience is liberal or conservative, is "Where are all the moderate Muslims?" The ubiquity of this question is deeply problematic. Not because the desire for so-called "moderate Muslims" is bad. (It isn't.) Not...

Every time I hear someone refer to Islam as a “The Religion Of Peace,” I suddenly see an image of Bill Clinton, angrily wagging his finger in my face, and saying, “I did not have sex with that woman…. (pause, as he desperately tries to remember her name) …Miss Lewinsky.” Radical Muslims, and their hypocritical, passive collaborators who look the other way with a wink and a nod, are hypocrites, and so are liberals, but that is hardly “breaking news.” Radical Muslims need about as much reason to riot as rabbits need to reproduce. Last September, it was some Danish...

He thanked us all for our hard work in putting that awesome power at the service of the Roman Catholic Church and the Vatican for a few days. Then he blessed us - and, just as the reporters present were...
