Conservative activists who protested Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter's bid to chair the Judiciary Committee are vowing are keep pressure on the liberal Republican and his Senate colleagues who have vowed to support him. BAYBORO -- A handful of students from Pamlico County High School asked school board members Monday night to rescind their school's ban on clothing that contains the Confederate flag, arguing it strips them of their Southern heritage and compromises their First Amendment rights.
