Hereafter, the White House will be “writing up rules and regulations,” according to the President. He also predicted that “if they don’t listen to the rules and regulations, we’ll end up back...

The White House press corps is "strenuously" objecting to any attempt to eject it from its West Wing digs, a move reportedly being considering by President-elect Trump's communications team. . . . "The WHCA will fight to keep the briefing room and West Wing access to senior administration officials open. We object strenuously to any move that would shield the president and his advisers from the scrutiny of an on-site White House press corps."

The French government has fingerprinted U.S. journalists who will travel with President Obama to France for the G-8 summit next week. Journalists were required to submit to “biometric” fingerprinting at the French Embassy in Washington, an embassy spokesman confirmed. "Even as many networks are reducing their coverage of the increasingly predictable political conventions, the political blogs, which have become a fruitful alternative for individual voices, have been ablaze over the prospect of officially covering conventions for the first time. Ms. Merritt is one of about three dozen bloggers who have been given press credentials for the Democratic convention in Boston, which begins Monday. Another, Ana Marie Cox from the Washington gossip site Wonkette.com, will be working as a correspondent for MTV."

Bush said in a television interview over the weekend that he would be willing to open up his entire military file, and would "absolutely" be willing to authorize the release of anything that would settle the controversy over his service in the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam War. White House press secretary Scott McClellan appeared to step back from that pledge, telling reporters:...

The reporters are belligerently denying the validity of the President's records that now show his service. One mentioned an evaluation where the comment, "He was not observed at this unit" is made by the 2 deceased superior officers. NOT OBSERVED AT THIS UNIT means that his duty performance was not observed for the purpose of evaluation. It doesn't mean that he wasn't there!
