First lady Melania Trump’s classy ability to handle attacks on her while keeping the focus on her and the president’s agenda steady is a top reason Republican women are flocking to support President Trump, according to a new survey. In a deep dive into the reasons women back the president, the survey put Trump’s accomplishments and his wife at the top, and said that she is a sign that the president has good “judgment.” The survey from the Frontier Center, provided Friday to Secrets, said, “Female supporters included First Lady Melania Trump as one of Trump’s greatest assets as she,...

Democratic presidential hopefuls Amy Klobuchar and Tom Steyer were stumped when asked during a televised interview in Nevada to name the Mexican president. Klobuchar, Steyer and fellow 2020 candidate Pete Buttigieg were asked during one-on-one interviews with the Spanish-language station Telemundo on Thursday night if they knew the name of the president whose country borders the U.S. It is Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who took office in December 2018. Klobuchar, a three-term senator from Minnesota, responded, “No.” Steyer, a billionaire businessman, replied, “I forgot.”

During a Tuesday interview that aired on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden suggested Mickey Mouse could “have a shot” against President Donald Trump. MSNBC’s Willie Geist asked the former vice president as part of the network’s New Hampshire primary coverage if he agreed with Democratic strategist James Carville’s assertion that the Democrats will give Trump four more years if they nominate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

WASHINGTON — Exulting in his impeachment acquittal, a defiant President Donald Trump took a scorched-earth victory lap Thursday, unleashing his fury against those who tried to remove him from office and pointing ahead to his reelection campaign. Triumphantly waving newspaper front pages that declared him “ACQUITTED," Trump denounced the impeachment proceedings as a “disgrace” and portrayed himself as a victim of political foes he labeled "scum," “sleaze bags” and “crooked" people. Hours earlier, he unleashed broadsides that stunned the crowd at an annual bipartisan prayer breakfast “It was evil, it was corrupt, it was dirty cops," Trump declared in a...

And so the Trump impeachment saga is coming to an end not with a bang but a whine. “We wuz robbed!” shriek the foot-stomping Democrats as they repeat their poll-tested mantra that the trial was rigged because no witnesses were called to testify. Consequently, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has decreed that the president will remain impeached forever, and his presidency and all that flows from it will be deemed unclean and illegitimate. Obviously, this latest failed effort to depose Trump has left the Democrats frustrated, bitterly disappointed and, quite possibly, wondering how their sure-fire impeachment gambit turned into such a...

I have a very serious question here. Has impeachment taught us the past 2 years that the only thing you have to do to get away with any crime is declare yourself a Presidential candidate of the opposing party of who is in office? I’ve been thinking about this on a serious basis because of the absurd circumstances we find ourselves in as a nation. If the FBI or any alphabet agency is investigating me from crimes overseas, domestically or internationally is the answer to declare myself a Presidential candidate of the opposing and threaten the sitting President with obstructing...

A very cogent question came up in a recent political discussion. “Why in the xxxx would someone want to remove a President that is doing so good for his country?” Good question; WHY would someone want a president removed that is doing well for his country. The answer came by answering a related question; WHO would want a president removed that is doing well for their country. Politicians are witnessing a non-politician accomplish things in three years that they couldn’t accomplish in thirty years. Who remembers Pelosi and Schumer blaming President Reagan for the woes of the nation and today...

President Trump is expected to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, next week, as his impeachment trial in the Senate begins, several senior administration officials told CBS News. And he is expected to have a handful of one-on-one meetings with world leaders while he's there. On Thursday, Mr. Trump had indicated he was likely to go, telling reporters, "I will probably be going to Davos. I've been invited. We have tremendous world leaders, and we also have the great business leaders. And we want those business leaders all to come to the United States." The administration is currently...

Former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) asserted Wednesday during MSNBC’s live coverage of the House vote to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate that President Donald Trump “hates” that he will be known as a president that was impeached “for the rest of his career.” McCaskill said, “Well, the trial already began because the president spent at least a half-hour shamelessly sucking up to the jurors that were in the White House for the China ceremony. I don’t recall a president going through senators name by name by name heaping praise. I mean, this is really a record for...

Presidential contender Sen. Elizabeth Warren said on Tuesday that she would begin to forgive student loan debt on the first day of her administration, using legal tools that would allow her to bypass Congress. The announcement, which comes just weeks before voting begins in the first primary and caucus states, adds urgency to legislation she introduced over the summer to cancel the bulk of the nation’s outstanding student loan debt. That bill, introduced with Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., would forgive up to $50,000 in student debt for individuals with household incomes under $100,000. But Warren wrote in her plan on...

(December 15, 2019 / JNS) The past week clarified a lot of things about the state of the American Jewish community—and its antagonists. The two assailants who walked into the kosher supermarket in Jersey City on Tuesday and opened fire intentionally targeted Jews. The killers belonged to the black supremacist, virulently anti-Semitic “Black Hebrew Israelite” movement which claims its members are the true children of Israel and the Jews are satanic imposters. The shooting in Jersey City marked a predictable escalation of the anti-Semitic attacks being carried out against Orthodox Jews in the New York area. The focal points of...

The radiant former First Lady, 72, showed off a wrinkle-free complexion and plumped-up cheeks as she joined her husband Bill behind the scenes of Ain’t Too Proud: The Temptations Musical at The Imperial Theatre. Sporting a vibrant pink tunic dress with black trousers and a statement gold necklace, Chicago-born Hillary smiled as she chatted and posed with the cast. Her glowing skin was noticeably smoother and her cheeks more defined than earlier in the week, when she spoke at the Jewish Labor Committee’s Annual Human Rights Awards Dinner in the city on Monday. Aesthetic expert Dr Ross Perry, founder of...

Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) presidential campaign in a video posted Friday to social media. “I truly believe the best things in life are a result of being bold and being real. This extends to every part of my life and nothing feels more relevant and real than this election,” Rapinoe wrote in a caption shared to her Instagram account. “I’m proud to endorse @elizabethwarren today, for being bold, for being real, for listening to ALL of us, and for being prepared to navigate the unique challenges we face today as...

You know the Democrats are in trouble when a young mayor of a city best known for its football team has emerged as a leading candidate for the Democrat nomination for president. That is Pete Buttigieg, 37, the two- term mayor of South Bend, Indiana, the home of Notre Dame, who clearly is gaining ground over the rest of the field of candidates following the last Democratic presidential debate in Atlanta.

The leading candidates for the Democrat presidential nomination, in no particular order, are "Moe", "Larry" and "Curly Joe Biden". "Curly Joe" Biden is an obvious choice. I'll let others decide which of the other two to call "Moe" and which to call "Larry". The next four, in no particular order, are Shemp, Dopey, Sleepy, and Sneezey. It will be interesting ro see if Michael Bloomberg will blow Curly Joe and friends off the presidential race

If I were one of those phony political consultants, I would have charged Deval Patrick an initial $ 100,000 for taking my advice to run for president. Since I am not, I will waive the fee. I gave the former Massachusetts governor that advice in a political column that ran in the Boston Herald Sept. 21, and in the Lowell Sun and Sentinel & Enterprise a day earlier.
