Former Trump-era COVID-19 response coordinator Deborah Birx said in an interview Monday on “Good Morning America” that she demanded that the White House retract then-President Trump’s comment on potentially using disinfectant against COVID-19. Trump’s comment, made during a briefing on April 23, 2020, during the early days of the pandemic, implied that injected disinfectant could help fight the coronavirus.

As with most viral respiratory illnesses, the primary entry point into the human body is through the nose. Once in the nasal passages, viruses propagate exponentially on nasal mucous membranes. With COVID-19, this rapid growth is especially prolific, leading researchers to seek means to decrease the nasal mucosal viral load. A recent podcast (1) between Joe Rogan and Dr. McCullough that "went viral" mentions this research and makes some recommendations for nasal lavage — salt water and antiseptic options to rinse out the nasal passages. This simple, cheap, and available hygienic maneuver should be added to our therapeutic armamentarium, along...

There are certain doctors who are blowing the whistle on the ways our government has handled Covid-19. It seems that the only advice coming out of DC or otherwise is to get vaccinated. Any treatments or preventative measures are either ignored or outright discouraged. Everyone remembers the false notion that Ivermectin is just a “horse dewormer” despite the fact that it has been used by humans since long before Covid-19 ever existed. One doctor who is spreading the truth is Dr. Peter McCullough. He has been censored and attacked for doing so. He has taken considerable losses for his adherence to...

Pardon the post if something similar has already been posted about this topic. We've had numerous posts about Ivermectin and Covid, but I've not seen one about betadine, an iodine-based nasal spray, but this morning I was watching a podcast with Dr. Peter McCullough about the suppression of alternative treatments to covid and using Betadine as a nasal spray to treat Covid in the early stages, he describes how Bangladesh has absolutely crushed Covid by using this approach. Besides the link posted here are couple more of interest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mDnY1la50E https://www.naturalnews.com/2021-09-29-iodine-ivermectin-government-media-attacking-covid-remedies.html

Abstract Importance: Research is needed to demonstrate the efficacy of nasal povidone-iodine (PVP-I) against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Objective: To evaluate the in vitro efficacy of PVP-I nasal antiseptic for the inactivation of SARS-CoV-2 at clinically significant contact times of 15 and 30 seconds. Interventions: The SARS-CoV-2, USA-WA1/2020 strain, virus stock was tested against nasal antiseptic solutions consisting of aqueous PVP-I as the sole active ingredient. Povidone-iodine was tested at diluted concentrations of 0.5%, 1.25%, and 2.5% and compared with controls. The test solutions and virus were incubated at mean (SD) room temperature of 22 (2) °C...

COVID-19 immunizations are the foundation of stopping the spread of the virus, keeping us safe and getting back to normal, but even as vaccines roll out and cases plummet across the province, research into treatment options remains a crucial element in the global fight against COVID-19. Povidone iodine, known by the brand name Betadine, is a topical antiseptic – a substance that kills and prevents the growth of microorganisms. It is commonly used to help heal wounds and disinfect skin before and after surgery. It has also been used with success at the St. Paul’s Sinus Centre as a nasal...

A team of clinician-scientists from Singapore’s National University Health System (NUHS) has found that oral hydroxychloroquine and povidone-iodine throat spray are effective in reducing the spread of Covid-19 in high-transmission settings such as dormitories, cruise ships and prisons. Their findings, which were presented to the media on Friday, were based on a study of more than 3,000 migrant workers living in Tuas South Dormitory during the height of the Covid-19 outbreak in May last year. Hydroxychloroquine is a prescription drug used to treat malaria and arthritis while povidone-iodine throat sprays are over-the-counter medications that provide symptomatic relief of sore throat....
