Has society really become quite thin-skinned, or is acting “offended” a new tactic that is being used to shut down legitimate political debate? Progressives are increasingly claiming to be offended whenever those on the right disagree with their left-wing positions. It doesn't matter what the issue is; the left will divert a legitimate political debate into an accusation that the right disagrees with them because they are full of hate towards them. This puts the right on the defensive, and removes the real debate from discussion. It then becomes difficult for the right to ever prevail with their position, because...

This protest sign sums up the only pathetic argument the liberals seem to have and it sure is getting old. On the brighter side – when the left pulls out the race card it means they have lost the debate. As pointed out by a fellow conservative blogger - 1) They are not discussing a substantive issue, nor are they making a point. Rather, they have admitted to being 100% wrong and having no point whatsoever by relying on an ad hominem logical fallacy. 2) They expose themselves as racists by refusing to hold all people to the same standard...

It is simply not fair that the Americans can have a Civil War and we can't. Like every other political junkie in the known world, I have been living with my satellite feed since the Iowa caucuses on Monday, and the next few months, well, I have a plan, which is to absorb as much American politics as I can. Canadian politics? Bore me later. I mean Belinda Stronach is, upon consideration, a fine and interesting thing. At least she doesn't look like she'd been buried and dug up again, like everyone else.
