A 12-year-old and a 17-year-old have turned themselves in to authorities following a vicious attack on Buddy the cat in Philadelphia's Frankford section. The suspects came in to the Pennsylvania SPCA with a parent to address the charges on Friday afternoon. Both of the suspects have been taken into custody and are pending a custodial determination hearing, the SPCA said. A Pennsylvania woman who was watching her roommate's dogs was mauled to death while trying to beak up a fight between the animals. On July 28, Rhoda Wagner was found dead in her front yard with three dogs running loose around her, PennLive reports. Responding authorities took the dogs, all pit bulls, into custody and through an investigation determined Wagner had been mauled to death. All three dogs were since euthanized with the consent of the owner, authorities said.

A woman has been charged with murder after her dog was involved in a fatal mauling in Rockcastle County. Police say they were called to a home on Pug Lane Friday morning. According to an arrest citation, a female at the residence had been involved in an altercation with a man at the home and during the struggle she had turned her pit bull loose on the man. Troopers arrived at the home and had to shoot the dog as they were not able to attend to the victim due to the dog's aggressive behavior.
