HAWTHORNE, Fla. -- A 74-year-old man attacked by pit bulls Friday morning had his right arm amputated, his left arm partially amputated and suffered severe facial injuries, Putnam County deputies said. Police say Andrew Townsend and Carley Woodward drove up to the bus stop at 3100 West Michigan Street and confronted Townsend's ex-girlfriend. Police say when Woodward and the victim began to fight. Townsend got out of his car with a pit bull and started punching the victim and ordering the dog to bite her. Woodward and Townsend then stole the woman's purse. Police later captured the two but they are still searching for the dog.
