<p>Oregon State Fair visitors will undergo more intense security checks this year, but some people with concealed firearms still will be allowed to carry them inside the fairgrounds gates.</p> <p>The Oregon State Fair has exempted holders of concealed-weapons permits, in addition to police officers, from a ban on weapons at the fairgrounds in northeast Salem.</p>

School officials confirm that a teacher found a gun earlier this year in a student's coat, which he left behind in a classroom.
