  • ALERT: How the TikTok Bill Could Be Used to Target X, Truth Social or Rumble in the Future

@TheChiefNerd “The bill poses significant risk of being Patriot Act 2.0…There’s no way to argue this language isn’t vague and could invite abuse…An Elon or a Trump or you take Rumble for example, which is also accused of being a Russian agent, they could be forced to divest the company or have it be banned.”

How much do you trust the Establishment in Congress? No, really. Think that question through. Do you trust them more or less than:A shabby guy trying to sell you a used car for cash by the side of the road?An officious stranger on the phone insisting she needs your bank information to protect you from identity theft?A Nigerian prince who contacted you online because he wants to send you $150 million?A sociopath you haven’t spoken to for 20 years who just needs to crash at your house for a couple of days?A pastor wearing a rainbow flag T-shirt who wants...

Fans of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” may be disappointed to see actress Marina Sirtis claiming she’s deleting her Twitter account this weekend. The popular one-hit-wonder who has been milking the brand that built her for decades announced several times that she’s done with the social media site now that free speech (or as she calls it, “hate speech”) appears to be coming back now that Elon Musk has purchased the company. Will any other Hollywood wokesters soon follow? We can only hope.
  • Old Man and the Gun

I went to see Robert Redford in "The Old Man and the Gun" for free at the local library. The audience was 80% 70's aged women probably there to see his supposedly last movie. It was in many ways a remake of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" I had two thoughts: 1. It unnecessarily gave a criminal life a glossy favorable review. 2. It interjected an interracial marriage into the story with the cop who finally catches the "hero" having a black wife. Now I have nothing against black and white marriage, but I know something of its history....

UPDATE: Fox News provided Townhall the following statement:“FOX News does not condone any talent participating in campaign events. We have an extraordinary team of journalists helming our coverage tonight and we are extremely proud of their work. This was an unfortunate distraction and has been addressed.”  UPDATE: Hannity defends his onstage appearance at the Trump rally. What I said in my tweet yesterday was 100% truthful. When the POTUS invited me on stage to give a few remarks last night, I was surprised, yet honored by the president’s request. This was NOT planned.— Sean Hannity (@seanhannity) November 6, 2018 ORIGINAL...

Campaigning at the Western Idaho Fair isn't anything new; both Democratic and Republican parties have had a regular presence at the end-of-summer celebration for as long as anyone can remember. But social media lit up late Saturday with a photo of this year's GOP booth at the fair revealed a prominently displayed a doctored but life-size photo of President Donald Trump with his arms locked around the neck of Hillary Clinton. The photo caught widespread attention when Diana Lachiondo, candidate for the Ada County Legislature, posted an image of the display on Facebook. "Holly smokes! This got a lot of...

The pro-Trump Twitterverse is lobbing hundreds of angry posts and meme attacks at the Brooklyn husbands who were kicked off a plane at JFK after one yelled at future First Daughter Ivanka. The Cobble Hill couple, attorney Daniel Goldstein and Hunter College Urban Studies Professor Matthew Lasner, are being trolled as “jerks,” “misogynists,” “political terrorists,” “heterophobic bigots,” and all manner of offensive gay slurs. A flood of one-star pans also is filling the Amazon review page for Lasner’s new book, “High Life: Condo Living in the Suburban Century.” Meanwhile, a Trump confidante said Ivanka will probably keep flying commercial because...

Sabo, a conservative street artist known for creating fake ads and traffic signs and affixing them illegally to bus stops and light poles in the dead of night, also has targeted Leonardo DiCaprio and Nate Parker in previously displayed art. Hillary Clinton is tattooed and mostly naked in Hollywood. About 20 posters featuring an unflattering image of the Democratic nominee for president were hung Monday morning in the area by Sabo, a conservative street artist known for creating fake ads and traffic signs and affixing them illegally to bus stops and light poles in the dead of night. Scott Walker stumbled over his own prior comments Wednesday, saying that when he called on the Boy Scouts to reinstate a ban on gay leaders because it “protected children,” he meant the ban protected them from media scrutiny. “The protection was not a physical protection,” Walker said Wednesday at an event in South Carolina, according to The New York Times. Rather, the Wisconsin governor continued, he was referring to “protecting them from being involved in the very thing you’re talking about right now, the political and media discussion about it, instead of just focusing on what Scouts is about, which...

UPDATE: The images appear to be the work of a Los Angeles artist Leonard Sabo, who posted an attempt at the design back on March 9. I’ve reached out to Sabo for comment, and will update when I hear back. His political and artistic views are, uh, interesting, to put it mildly, most offensive of which is that he seems to think Cruz could actually be president some day.--- "Actually, kinda cool looking,” wrote one Free Republic commenter. “Maybe we can all get tats and stuff and form a ‘gang’. Call it the Patriot Gang or something. Put some drive-by...

In New Mexico, a photographer declined to take pictures of a lesbian couple’s commitment ceremony. In Washington State, a florist would not provide flowers for a same-sex wedding. And in Colorado, a baker refused to make a cake for a party celebrating the wedding of two men. The business owners cited religious beliefs in declining to provide services celebrating same-sex relationships. And in each case, they were sued. Now, as states around the nation weigh how to balance the rights of same-sex couples with those of conservative religious business owners, Gov. Jan Brewer of Arizona must decide whether to sign...

Women took to the streets wearing panties on their heads Sunday as they protested new laws banning lace underwear in Kazakhstan. The legislation - which includes provisions covering the required level of moisture absorbtion in the garments - will come into force this summer in Kazakhstan as well as Russia and Belarus, according to the Moscow Times. This sparked the so-called "Panties for the President" demonstrations in the Kazakh capital, Almaty, on Sunday. "It irritates me the most that the authorities want to decide what I should wear," Iryna Davydenko, a bank manager who travels regularly between Kazakhstan, Russia and...

Decorated Navy SEAL Brett Jones had already survived two harrowing deployments overseas when, back in the states, his world came crashing down around him, all thanks to an answering machine. It was the morning after a welcome back party, and Jones was calling to thank a fellow Navy serviceman who organized the bash. The man wasn't in, so Jones left him a message at his military office, and then he did something without thinking about it. "I said, 'I love you' before I hung up," Jones told ABC News, recounting the story by email.

SOCHI, Russia, A Minnesota businessman says he hopes to alleviate one of the many pains in the neck to surface at the Sochi Olympics -- a shortage of pillows for athletes. Mike Lindell, founder and chief executive officer of My Pillow, said he had heard rumblings of the shortage and was even called by a Chicago radio station, asking if his company would intervene. Lindell agreed and has readied a shipment of 3,000 pillows to be sent via FedEx to Sochi, the (Minneapolis) Star-Tribune reported Saturday. The only problem -- he doesn't know where to send them. Multiple shipping addresses...

Yesterday I posted this hilarious review of Sarah Palin's new book about the war on Christmas Good Tidings and Great Joy. The post was picked up by a Tea Party forum "Free Republic" and they were not happy. Apparently I'm "stupid, ignorant, dishonest and basically evil" and also have "the hair of a kewpie doll." For 70+ comments, they proved they were smarter, more honest, more Godly, and possessing of better hair by calling me gay in as many ways as they could think of. "Fudgepacker" was fun because it reminded me of second grade, "pointy headed fag in need...

HOUSTON (CN) - A gay couple claims in court that Continental Airlines workers humiliated them by taking a dildo from their baggage and taping it outside the bag for everyone in baggage claim to see. Christopher Bridgeman and Martin Borger sued United Continental Holdings and Continental Airlines in Harris County Court. The men say they arrived in Houston from Costa Rica, retrieved their undisturbed checked luggage and after going through Customs rechecked their bags for a flight to Norfolk, Va. "Upon arriving in Norfolk, plaintiffs exited the aircraft and went to the baggage claim area," the complaint states. "Plaintiffs' bags...

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin threw a roundhouse at New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie Monday, calling his recent criticism of Newt Gingrich a “rookie mistake” — and saying he got his “panties in a wad” and “spewed” all over the former House Speaker. We kid you not. Palin made the outrageous comments on the Fox Business Network in an exclusive interview that airs tonight at 7 p.m. PST. Launching into Christie’s recent remarks that the former House Speaker was becoming an “embarrassment” to the GOP, she added: “I do care to take him to task — poor Chris. This was...

A fuming Mayor Bloomberg said Monday he wants Giants player Plaxico Burress prosecuted "to the fullest extent of the law" for accidentally shooting himself in his leg with an illegal handgun. The mayor also called on prosecutors to throw the book at officials of the Giants and New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell for reportedly not alerting police about the shooting immediately, as required by law. The incident reportedly occurred early Saturday inside the crowded LQ nightclub in midtown. Sources said the loaded gun Burress was packing slipped down his pants leg and went off as he fumbled to grab it....
