One of the biggest news stories that accompanied the start of 2014 was Scarlett Johansson being named as the global ambassador of SodaStream, an Israeli company based out of the West Bank settlement of Ma’ale Adumim, which develops home carbonation systems that allow users to convert tap water into sparkling water, in more than 100 flavors. […] Now, it seems the supporters finally have their wish: SodaStream has announced, in a reported non-political move, that they are moving the factory from the West Bank to a land that indisputably belongs to Israel (unless you’re a member of Hamas or ISIS),...

Hamas militants killed seven Palestinians suspected of collaborating with Israel in a public execution in a central Gaza square on Friday, witnesses and a Hamas website said. The victims, their heads covered and hands tied, were shot dead by masked gunmen dressed in black in front of a crowd of worshippers outside a mosque after prayers, witnesses and al-Majd, a pro-Hamas website, said.

Pro-Palestinian activists marching along the Brooklyn Bridge were surprised when a giant flag in Palestinian colors was unfurled on the nearby Manhattan Bridge. The flag had the words “Boycott, Divest, Sanction” on it and was lowered from a part of the bridge near the Manhattan side Wednesday evening. Activists on the Brooklyn Bridge met its appearance with cheers. …

A British supermarket chain is at the center of an anti-Semitism row, after a Jewish shopper found that the Kosher section had been completely removed, and was told by the store manager that Kosher food has been taken down because "We support Gaza." Anti-Israel demonstrators had picketed the branch of Sainsbury's in Holborn, central London, part o fa pattern of aggressive calls to boycott Jewish-made Israeli goods - calls that often spilled over into violence. In one incident Saturday, anti-Israel activists trashed a Tesco store in Hodge Hill while waving Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) flags, throwing produce on the ground...

A Monday night meeting over a Palestinian flag in north suburban Lincolnwood was intense but civil much of the way before emotions spilled over among some in attendance, with one man leaving after being chastised by the mayor. The flag that was the subject of heated debate is part of a display of about 60 international flags along Lincoln Avenue that stretches from Devon to Touhy. Several residents have recently asked that the Palestinian flag be removed, but village officials say they have no plans to do so. Community members spoke in favor of and against the flag before the...

Leaders of major Jewish organizations on Wednesday accused U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon of being one-sided in his handling of the crisis in Gaza. A delegation of 11 Jewish organizations met with the U.N. chief to express their concerns, presenting a letter that listed what they said were 19 violations of international law by Hamas that have gone ignored, said Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder and dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a Jewish human rights group with an office in New York. Chief among their demands was a need for the U.N. to investigate rocket attacks by Hamas, which controls the...

Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah is challenging those who try to minimize its leadership role in the Palestinian conflict with Israel. To show its prominence it did not choose to cite any actions seeking peace but only actions of violence and terror, even claiming fictitiously that its attacks have killed 11,000 Israelis. One of the actions it bragged about was being the "first Palestinian faction to reach the [Israeli] nuclear reactor," which is actually reference to a bus hijacking and murder of three Israeli civilians on their way to work at the nuclear plant. Throughout the current Gaza war, Palestinian Media Watch...

Ron Paul: Don’t Palestinians Have a Right to Defend Themselves Too? Ron Paul Institute August 5, 2014 Speaking on Voices of Liberty, RPI Chairman and Founder Ron Paul explains that, while he agrees with the often repeated in the media declaration that “Israel has a right to defend herself,” he wonders why more people in the media don’t voice support for Palestinians’ right to defend themselves too. Paul elaborates: And [Israel Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu says 'Don’t second-guess me, don’t push a peace treaty on me because I’m gonna defend this country.' I think Israel absolutely has a right to...

Among the many 'Palestinians' executed by Hamas as 'collaborators' at the beginning of this week was Ayman Taha, Hamas' former spokesman. Meanwhile, Palestinian newspaper al-Quds reported that Hamas has executed its former spokesman Ayman Taha, who was arrested on suspicion of spying for an Arab country and financial corruption. According to the report, a firing squad executed Taha in Gaza on Monday. What nice people.... Maybe we should give them a state.... Oh wait, we did that already....

Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa has cancelled his visit to Israel scheduled for the second half of this year due to “Israeli attacks against the Palestinians”, Xinhua reported on Wednesday, citing Ecuador’s Andes Agency. During an interview with a local radio station on Wednesday, the president reportedly accused Israel of committing “genocide” in Gaza during Operation Protective Edge. …

The blatant partiality of the United States in favor of Israel has already turned the words “peace process” into a bitter joke. Over many decades, American indulgence of Israel has blighted prospects of any resolution of the conflict with the Palestinians. Consequently, occupation has been entrenched and Israeli colonization of the West Bank and East Jerusalem has metastasized, going from under 200,000 illegal settlers in 1991 to over 600,000 today. This partiality only increases when Israel goes to war. By guaranteeing Israel impunity in its military actions, the United States has contributed massively to the bloodshed in Gaza in recent...

Other than the United States of America, perhaps no nation on earth has ever been as slandered as the people of Israel. Unfortunately, much of that slander is coming from the United States, including most of those in the media and from the educated idiots of the Obama administration. And increasingly, I am sick and tired of hearing it. The enemies of Israel are many. They are surrounded on all sides by nations which, if they had their way, would exterminate every single Israeli citizen and destroy all memory of them from human civilization.

As it winds towards a 72-hour truce brokered by Egypt, the latest round of conflict between Israel and Hamas has--finally--resorted to the pattern with which the international media are familiar: Palestinian terrorists attack Israel, Israel defends itself for a bit, a civilian target is hit, and Israel is forced to stop. Usually the media neglect to mention that Hamas hides weapons in, or initiates battles from, those same civilian sites, on purpose.

In yet another verbal tirade against Israeli, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday accused the Jewish state of “deliberately killing Palestinian mothers”, Reuters reported. Addressing hundreds of thousands of supporters at his biggest rally so far ahead of the August 10 election, Erdogan again likened Israel’s actions to those of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. “Just like Hitler, who sought to establish a race free of all faults, Israel is chasing after the same target,” Erdogan told the sea of cheering supporters at an Istanbul arena, according to Reuters. “They kill women so that they will not give birth...

Following is a letter from Coach is Right contributor Kevin O’Neil to his Member of Parliament in London 25th July 2014. Dear Mr. Gyimah, Thank you for your letter of the 17th July 2014. I am pleased to read that ‘Britain will stand with Israel as it seeks to bring to justice those responsible’ for the murdering of the three Israeli boys, and that you found the act ‘appalling and inexcusable’. However, within the body of your letter you state that you support ‘a two-state solution’ with a divided Jerusalem. Are you aware that you are supporting the establishing of...

Actor Jon Voight is a conservative. That, in and of itself, is a rarity in Hollywood. But Voight is also an outspoken supporter of Israel. As a result, after fellow-actors Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz denounced Israeli “genocide” in an open letter last week, Voight couldn’t help but respond. Here are excerpts, via The Hollywood Reporter: I am heartsick that people like Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem could incite anti-Semitism all over the world and are oblivious to the damage they have caused. They are obviously ignorant of the whole story of Israel’s birth, when in 1948 the Jewish people...

An enterprising blogger's diligent spadework has revealed the truth behind an Israeli 'massacre' that never was. (H/T Jonathan Foreman) According to the Hamas version of events - widely promulgated in the media by ITN, the Telegraph and the Belfast Telegraph - an Israeli airstrike on a crowded market place during a partial ceasefire in the Shijaiyah neighbourhood of Gaza City on July 30th, 2014 was responsible for the deaths of 17 people, including blue-helmeted photojournalist Rani Rayan. However as Thomas Wictor has incontrovertibly demonstrated using close analysis of film footage of the incident, the deaths were not caused by Israeli...
