Social media was abuzz on Wednesday following claims made by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Adolf Hitler initially had no intention of massacring European Jewry. In a speech to delegates at the 37th World Zionist Congress in Jerusalem on Tuesday, the premier claimed that Hitler's original intentions were solely to expel the Jews. According to Netanyahu, the Fuhrer changed his mind at the insistence of the Palestinian Arab leader at the time, Haj Amin al-Husseini, who argued that the expulsion of the Jews would result in their arrival en masse to Palestine, which at the time was under British Mandatory...

The violence we are witnessing in the Middle East is horrific. Who would have thought in the 21st century we would have beheadings, crucifixions, rapes of women and girls, and the selling of women into slavery. Not to mention ancient historical artifacts destroyed along with ancient civilizations being driven from their ancestral homes. What is the world’s response? Little to nothing, unless you are Vladimir Putin, who of course is acting out of his own self-serving advancement. Then again, nature abhors a void and will always seek to fill it – such is the case with Russia led by Putin....

Scandinavian Airlines announces it will stop flying to Tel Aviv as of March, cites political instability. Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) announced on Monday it would be stopping its flights to Israel, citing “political instability” as being behind the decision. In addition to flights to the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, the airline also announced it would no longer include Moscow and Ankara among its destinations either. Flights from Copenhagen to Tel Aviv will cease in March of 2016, the airline announced, a little more than three years after Scandinavian Airlines launched its flight to Israel. "The route to Tel Aviv...

Most people reading that headline probably think what in God’s name could possibly be beneficial about a group of maniacs tearing up one of the most unstable areas of the world, while mass murdering thousands of people (mainly their co-religionists) in gruesome manners. Some of us live by the Spamalot song: Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life. In this case there are at least two direct benefits of ISIS. The first and the most prominent is the complete dismantling of the idea that peace in the Middle East will come if only the Israelis will make peace with...

Israel’s political leaders have rightly expressed anger at the US State Department’s hostile characterizations of the Palestinian terrorist onslaught. Secretary of State John Kerry’s claims, parroted by his spokesmen, that Israel is either entirely to blame for Palestinian terrorism or shares the blame equally with the Palestinians, are baseless lies. Kerry and his spokesmen have alleged that the current Palestinian convulsion of murderous violence is a product of “a massive increase in settlements.” Yet as Haaretz reported this week, Israel has built fewer homes for Jews in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria since 2009, when Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu (and President...

There are numerous factors that contribute to Palestinian terrorist attacks against Israel, including the history of the region, the Islamic religion, and the difficulties faced by Palestinians because of what they view as “the occupation.” But there is another important aspect of the conflict that cannot be ignored, namely, demographics. The inhabitants of the West Bank and Gaza Strip are disproportionately young, and a youth-heavy population is one that is typically marked by violence, rebellion, and social upheaval. In this case, most of the anger is directed towards Israel, making for a situation that could explode at any moment. Using...

Palestinians have torched a Jewish holy site in the West Bank city of Nablus, amid soaring tensions with Israel. Rioters set fire to a tomb revered as that of the biblical figure Joseph. The site, where Jews go to pray, was badly damaged. It came hours after Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu called on the Palestinian leadership to stop a wave of attacks. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas condemned the arson and said the site would be repaired. Elsewhere in the occupied West Bank, a Palestinian disguised as a news photographer stabbed and moderately wounded an Israeli soldier, the Israeli military said....

Many of our policy debates and conflicts both domestic and foreign call on history to validate their positions. At home, crimes from the past like slavery and legal segregation are used to justify present policies ranging from racial set asides to housing regulations long after those institutions have been dismantled. Abroad, our jihadist enemies continually evoke the Crusades, “colonialism,” and “imperialism” as justifications for their violence. Yet the “history” used in such fashion is usually one-sided, simplistic, or downright false. Nor is the reason hard to find: as we read in 1984, “Who controls the past . . . controls...

In front of the United Nations General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not only stare for forty seconds into the eyes of the world’s representatives, charging them of having kept silent in the face of Iran’s promise to destroy Israel. Netanyahu also pulled out a book in Farsi. The author is the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and he writes that “within 25 years there will be no more Israel”. There is a date recurring obsessively in the proclamations of the leaders of the Arab-Islamic world: 2022. It is the year that they have reserved for the end of...

By Daniel Tauber Israel News AgencyJerusalem, Israel — October 15, 2015 … While Israelis are being chased by wild Palestinians armed with their kitchen knives, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is busy betraying Israel, again. Let us recall the first time Kerry betrayed Israel. Shortly after he was appointed Secretary of State, he initiated Israeli-Palestinian negotiations he believed could end a one-hundred year-old conflict in nine months. Though Israel had previously frozen Jewish construction in Judea for ten-months as part of a U.S. attempt to initiate negotiations, and although the Palestinian Authority still refused to negotiate, Kerry urged Israel...

“When I See Them I See Us” is the newest catch phrase of Black Lives Matter and Pro-Palestinian activists. So what on earth do these two movements have in common? In a video released just today, African American and Palestinian activists answered that question. “What do Gaza and Ferguson have to do with one another? If you ask the black and Palestinian artists and activists who just released a new solidarity video, a lot … Harass, beaten, torture, dehumanized, stopped and frisked…” and the list goes on and on. In a nutshell, self-proclaimed victimhood. The solidarity video is aimed at...

Pogrom: Jews defiling the Temple Mount with their "filthy feet." Dear Mr. Netanyahu: It’s a POGROM not an Intifada “The settlers’ presence is illegal, and therefore every measure taken against them is legitimate and legal.” Another pogrom in the 21st century is taking place-in Israel the Jewish state. It’s based on the latest blood libel-the Jews defiling the Temple Mount with their “filthy feet.” Here are some still shots of the video. The video has been removed because of the policy violation regarding hate speech.

All the Palestinian terrorist attacks that have been carried out in recent weeks share one common feature. All the terrorists believe that by attacking Jews they are protecting the Temple Mount from destruction. And why shouldn’t they believe this obscenity? Everywhere they go, every time they turn on their televisions, read the paper, go to school or the mosque they are told that the Jews are destroying al-Aksa Mosque. Al-Aksa, they are told, is in danger. They must take up arms to defend it from the Jews, whatever the cost. One man stands at the center of this blood libel....

Time the United Nations woke up and restored its own credibility. PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s speech to the UN General Assembly last week contained a concoction of half-truths and outright lies that everyone who listened to him should question. Here are some prize porkies: “The question of Palestine was one of the first just issues brought before the United Nations from the time of its inception, and yet it remains unresolved until this moment”

A year after the 51-day war in Gaza, hundreds of Palestinians with devastating injuries from the Israeli assault still fill the waiting rooms of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in need of complex reconstructive surgeries and physical rehabilitation. With the continued blockade and siege of Gaza, it is as if the latest of round of Israeli-Palestinian bloodshed had just ended. Today, perhaps more than at any time in its 20-year history of providing medical and psychological care in Gaza and the West Bank, MSF sees how the suffering wrought by the Israeli occupation has become normalized and how an end to...

A new report confirms more White House woes with our ally Israel. A Politico exclusive reveals that Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid confronted White House chief of staff Denis McDonough on two occasions to ask President Obama to reject a UN resolution that would grant Palestine statehood. Both times, Obama gave him the silent treatment. While Reid has previously shown his support for Israel, his latest request may not exactly have been for the Middle Eastern country’s best interests. The timing suggested he was trying to secure passage for the Iran Deal: The requests from Reid came as he was...

MAHMOUD ABBAS addressed the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday in his capacity as "President of State of Palestine," or so the official text posted on the UN website identifies him. In reality, Abbas is no more the lawful president of Palestine than George W. Bush is the lawful president of the United States. Both were sworn in for four-year terms in January 2005. Those terms expired more than six years ago. If Bush had appeared before the UN plenum this week and presumed to announce a change in American policy, he would have been thought delusional and jeered off...

UNITED NATIONS (AP) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas told world leaders Wednesday that he is no longer bound by agreements that have defined relations with Israel for the past two decades and are meant to form the basis for a two-state solution to the Middle East conflict. But what sounded like a potentially explosive declaration was blunted by the lack of any detail on how he plans to move forward. Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Abbas said Israel had repeatedly violated its commitments, most notably by expanding settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, on lands the Palestinians...

Responding to parents who complained about the distribution at public schools of a map which labeled Israel as “Palestine,” the City of Paris said it was the result of “a simple production error.” The city’s media department gave the explanation in a statement it published Friday about the distribution earlier this year to elementary school pupils of a calendar that contains a map of Europe and parts of the Middle East. The map, which ends north of central Israel and the West Bank, designates the territory of Israel included in it as “Palestine,” alongside Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey. In...
