You would have to shut down the voicings of the entire conservative redneck city I live in just to stop me.

I just took a common internet IQ test (you know the one) and purposely answered every one of the 40 questions wrong! Here's what it said about me: Your IQ score is 75 We can tell your Intellectual Type is a Precision Processor. This means you're exceptionally good at discovering quick solutions to problems, especially ones that involve math or logic. You're also resourceful and able to think on your feet. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.
  • ZOT!!! Low IQs found in trolls.

Many books and articles have been written by psychologists estimating the IQs of people like Isaac Newton and Louis XIV. These estimates may not be very exact, but a surprising amount can be learned by studying the biography of a person and noting their intellectual development. Isaac Newton, Leibnitz, and Goethe have all been estimated to have had very high IQs, ranging from 160 to 200. Napoleon and Hitler have been estimated around 130-140. King Frederick the Great and Czar Peter the Great around 150. The kings of Europe as a group would be one of the most intelligent groups...

Okay, so I thought that I could at least have civil debate with INTELLIGENT conservatives, but after posting under a different name, not only were the responses the equivellant of "UH-UH," but I was denied my rights as a citizen of this great country. It appears to me that Free Republic is not interested in FREE SPEECH! I do love the U.S., I just disagree with the jingoism that followed 9/11. I disagree with our leaders purposfully lying to their citizens in order to go to war. I disagree with going to war against the express directions of the UN which was made to council the nations on these issues. I disagree with the nation's presidency being stolen from the rightful owner, the man who truly won the election. I disagree with that stolen presidency being handed to a C average student who has a criminal record and went AWOL when he was supposed to be serving in the military. I disagree with corporations running the government in the new era of pay to play politics. I disagree with the same corporations that run the country, run the news media. I disagree with conservatives instead of listening to what a liberal has to say, they resort to attacking them with (sometimes) drastic immaturity. I disagree with using religion to get votes. I disagree with religion. I disagree with history being written by the victors. I disagree with with the USA PATRIOT Act not only because anyone can be detained for any reason for any amount of time without a trial with a jury of twelve peers. I disagree with the fact it is called the "Patriot Act" and yet there is nothing patriotic about it. I DO agree with the quote "If you are willing to sacrifice freedom for for security, you deserve neither." I disagree with the civilians in this country not standing up and calling for an impeachment for a president that has done far worse than getting a blow job in the oval office. He has LIED, CHEATED, AND MURDERED. I disagree with everyone being angry at Bill Clinton for smoking marijuana but no one criticizes George W. Bush for DRUNK DRIVING and COCAINE use. I disagree with George W. Bush saying in a nationally televised broadcast, "If you aren't with us, you're with the terrorists." This hurt the feelings of about 60% of New York citizens because they not only lost friends and family in the World Trade Center on 9/11, but they also opposed going to war with Iraq. You can imagine the deranged ultimatum this put on those poor Ameericans who had to choose between those who killed their friends and family and the their better judgment to wait for a UN resolution. I disagree with a $350 billion tax that goes directly to the 1% minority of the wealthy. I disagree with the "No Child Left Behind" policy. Standardized tests don't teach children anything but how to memorize test questions. As a teacher, I can only describe it as leaving every child behind. I disagree with arch conservatives on this website saying that I have AIDS because I am liberal and am into homosexual activites. To clear up your mislead statements of slander. I am heterosexual, I do not have AIDS. I have two healthy children that are beautiful and will be entering school in a year. I love my wife and my country. I don't agree with you...but that doesn't mean I hate you or your thoughts. I encourage them. But please stop reacting to someone that you disagree with in an angry passion of blind ignorance. It doesn't solve anything.

  • ZOT! The electability of Dennis Kucinich

He's too short. He's not sexy enough. He's not electable. Yeah, that last one. Not electable. How many times have I heard folks say that they really like Congressman Dennis Kucinich (Democrat of Ohio) and the stands he takes in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, but they don't think he can be elected? And what would happen if everyone who said that actually got behind Kucinich? Who decides the electability of a candidate anyway? Party leaders? TV pundits? Campaign contributors? Here is a man from modest beginnings who has been winning political races against well-heeled Republican opponents for...

Finding more than one! I have recently discovered that my father, who I had not agreed with as he was an Independant, has just converted to the dark side. I am a Green through and through. Democrats are spineless sissies that will bend over backwards for the Republicans as to appeal to those who worship this mystic notion of bipartisanship. But Republicans lie, cheat, hate, and destroy every constitution of mankind. Their superannurated system in the name of "morality" is an obliteration of our rights as citizens in this (what used to be) great country.

    1) The Nomination: In every poll that counts at this time of year – that is, the early state-by-state polls, Gov. Dean is positioned well. In Iowa, the first caucus state, Dean has gained the lead. In New Hampshire, the first primary state, Dean has a solid, double-digit lead and a firm commitment from a remarkable 82% of those who support him. Dean also leads in recent polls in Arizona, Michigan, and New York. No competitor can rightly claim the second place title, as different candidates jockey for the position directly behind Dean in various states. Howard Dean has surged...

Worth repeating. Although I'm sure you're all too narrow-minded and angry to consider words like these. But... Please remove the word "Free" from your name. You poor folks don't have a clue. If there is one thing that I find shocking in so many self-proclaimed conservatives is their fear of any legislation that lends itself to bettering the lives and conditions of their fellow-countrymen. The idea of a national healthcare program, as an example, stiffens their backs, ices up their blood and throws them into paroxysms of terror. "We are moving towards socialism", becomes the outcry. Is it that we would be moving towards socialism or towards a more humanitarian way of dealing with the health needs of the general public. Do insurance companies and drug companies need to increase their wealth...

What great American values this forum represents. I responded to a comment about http://tvnewslies.org. The link I submitted was an editorial on the site, - directly related to the activity on the thread. Guess what? The administrator deleted the site for being LEFTIST! I cannot believe it...but then again, I can. Is there some inherent danger in allowing members of this forum to read a commenaryt from the left? What I find abhorrent is that the administrator of a forum entitled "FREE REPUBLIC" would arbitrarily decide to limit access of the readership to an editorial. The editorial, of course, was...

Democrats are in a tizzy over news that the economy grew 7.2 percent in the last quarter, the fastest such growth since 1984. "Oh, no!" was their secret, instant cry. "Does this mean we can't blast Bush on the economy anymore? And if so, what does that do to our 2004 prospects?" Let's stipulate right here that Republicans remain the market leaders when it comes to praying for bad news that is good news for them politically. (If I didn't say this, right-wing talk show hosts would seize on this column as proof that this liberal is revealing his party's...

The second in a three-part series on Bush's America looks at the inflated hospital bills facing the uninsured poor Julian Borger Tuesday November 4, 2003 The Guardian Rose Shaffer's heart attack taught her a lot of things that, as a nurse, she should have known. She learnt it pays to eat carefully and exercise regularly. And she learnt the hard way that if you cannot afford medical insurance in America, you better hope you don't get sick. A Chicago hospital saved Mrs Shaffer's life but she feels it is now trying to take it back. Since that frantic October night...
