(CNN) — Tuesday night's CNN/The New York Times debate stage will feature a record 12 candidates. It could be the last debate appearance for up to 33% of them. Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar and former Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke are all in deep danger of not making November's debate. That means Tuesday may be the last chance fo those four to give their campaigns a realistic chance to have a measure of success. Fundraising and polling qualification thresholds have been bumped up once again for November's debate. Jumping...

Longtime radio voice Gary Dolphin has been suspended from broadcasting Iowa basketball games for the rest of the season. The action comes following comments that Dolphin made during the postgame portion of Iowa’s radio broadcast of Tuesday’s home game against Maryland, in which he referred to the Terrapins’ Bruno Fernando, who is black, as “King Kong.” The suspension, announced by Learfield Sports Properties (which owns the rights to Hawkeye broadcasts), is for basketball only. Dolphin has been Iowa’s play-by-play voice of Iowa football, as well, for the past 22 years. The reference to King Kong, a fictional gorilla in a...

Here’s a video documenting how the U.S. Dept. of Justice helped the Dream Defenders — a bogus “student group” run by paid activists with links to ACORN and Occupy — target George Zimmerman and the Sanford police chief in April, 2012. It includes excerpts from an 82-minute audio recording of an April 19, 2012, meeting headed up by the DOJ official................. Highlights: 1. The DOJ official called Dream Defenders a “student group” and referenced the “students” talking at the meeting. (5:45 to 6:10) Yet none of the three members of Dream Defenders who were at the event is a student....

(CBSNewYork) – Saturday’s snow storm made life in Zuccotti Park miserable for Occupy Wall Street protesters. Demonstrators were left drenched with rain and then snow as the storm moved through the region. Central Park set a record for both the date and the month of October with 2.9 inches of snow. Those camping out in the park have been stockpiling donated blankets, scarves, coats and have been trying to get more tents, cots and tarps. According to an “urgent” alert on their website, OWS is looking for a number of other donations, including waterproof boots, gloves, hats, hand and foot...
