Texas Sen. Ted Cruz chose a conservative, evangelical Christian university as the setting for his announcement that he was running for president. This underscored his apparent strategic decision to focus relentlessly on the conservative, highly religious segment of his party, both in terms of attempting to become their candidate of preference, and also in terms of maximizing their turnout in the 2016 primary elections. The Republican Party in general has a disproportionate percentage of conservative and highly religious Americans in its ranks, so Cruz's strategy would appear to make numerical sense -- as it would for other conservative politicians, like...

The Resurrection & The Eucharist by Fr. Rodney Kissinger S.J. (Former Missouri Synod Lutheran) http://www.frksj.org/homily_ressurection_and_the_eucharist.htm There is an important connection between the Resurrection and the Eucharist. The Eucharist IS the Risen Jesus. Therefore, the Eucharist makes the Resurrection present and active in our lives and enables us to experience the joy and the power of the Resurrection.

The Resurrection is the reason for the observance of Sunday instead of the Sabbath. According to the Gospel it was early in the morning on the first day of the week that the Risen Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene. It was also on the...

Question: If one thing is clear, it's that there is one, single, visible Church that Jesus founded. This multitude of competing, conflicting denominations is no sign of God's work; therefore, it must be the work of the Evil One. Somewhere in the midst of these 30,000 denominations, there is one true church, and the rest are in sin and rebellion. Answer: The "thousands-of-denominations" argument is very often employed to prove all sorts of things. Here are some citations from letters received from other Catholics: How can all these denominations claim to follow the Bible yet all come to different conclusions?...

The last time I posted here I examined Bryan Cross’s claim for unity in the Roman Catholic Church. It was my intention to apply Bryan’s guidelines to a specific case that he mentioned – i.e. abortion – to show that his claim, in at least that instance, did not meet the “visibility” standard he required for unity to exist. I hope to have been fair in my examination and believe that said examination disproved Bryan’s thesis on his own grounds. But that exercise caused me to reflect more broadly on the Roman claim to unity as it might apply to other...

Here is the summation for the previous threads and the last of this for some time: Jesus Christ alone possessed the intrinsic quality of infallibility, was unlike any man that has ever lived, and was in a class all by Himself. There were some (like the Ebionites) who believed that Jesus was the messiah but also believed that he lacked divinity. Some, like those who ascribed to Arianism or semi-Arianism, who were somewhere in between the Ebionites and those who believed/believe that Jesus was fully God and Fully Man. Each of these nonetheless believed that Jesus was unlike any man...

On Easter Day (April 5th, 2015), faithful Christians will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus bodily from death. Later on this year, faithful Christians will also (on August 15th, 2015) celebrate the resurrection of Mary the mother of Jesus (before her body could see decay) and her Assumption into heaven. With the shows on CNN (Finding Jesus: Faith, Fact and Forgery) and O'Reilly's book, "Killing Jesus" on television (both this Sunday), there seems to be an uptick in the interest on the life of Jesus, the Apostles and early followers of Jesus - as well as Mary's role, too.

Moving back from the Theodosian Code, which stated the scriptures they believed to be heretical, back to the First Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D., which decreed that the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were to be in the fixed New Testament Canon of scripture, and back to earlier dates we find the following: A.) The Clermont List - a codex which embraced the Canon as it existed in Egypt (i.e. Alexandria) c.300 A.D. It lists the New Testament books which are the same as ours except that the Gospels are listed Matthew, Mark, Luke (the apostolic authors...

Praying The Rosary Is Not Biblical, And Is A Form Of Idolatry Just last Sunday, a local newspaper paper released an article teaching that the praying of the Holy Rosary is Bible-based. In the first two paragraphs, the writer admittedly says that there is no passage in the Bible teaching nor mentioned about the praying of Rosary. However, in the following paragraphs, the writer justified the praying of the Rosary basing it on the repetition of historical events of some Bible characters (like Gideon as he mentioned) about Israel’s history. I don’t know if the writer of this article did...

Situational change comes when My Spirit enters where there has been limitations invoked by lies and it is as My Spirit of TRUTH dis-lodges(evicts) this strongman that TRUTH REIGNS SUPREME and divine creative intervention restores (( ( KINGDOM REIGN ) ))and "Reality" , So that Grace "IS" the Cornerstone and Mercy flows freely creating "THE MIRACULOUS"(pressed down shaken together and flowing over). . . Matthew 8:15 15 He touched her hand and the fever "left" her; and she got up and began waiting on Him. Matthew 12:13 13 Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he...

Certain situations coming up now will not be explainable or even understandable without first coming to the Shepherd of your ways for truly as "THE" WORD(Eternal) now my children of light "will see" that to step out into unfamiliar ground will be utter futility and that inquiring first of Me before they take a step or speak a word will bring the correct illumination, judgment and the eventual decision or action to take . Here are the Keys to The Kingdom seek Me first in all you do and the other keys will reveal themselves to you . Matthew 26:40...

I’m all for generous giving, and I’m all for taking care of ministers of the gospel, but I will not be sending Creflo Dollar $300 to help him buy a $65 million jet for his ministry. The very thought of it is obscene. On a manipulative video now removed from his website, the narrator explains how Pastor Dollar’s ministry is touching people worldwide and how the old private jet they’ve been using for years has become unusable, also explaining how it is actually dangerous to fly. Now, we are told, in order to travel around the world, he needs a...

My Fractal Symmetry balances The Father's Heart for He is the source of Love and I AM the Avenue to His Heart therein if you have seen Me, heard Me,listened and obeyed Me as your Shepherd then we are already one and the Kingdom is yours for in your obedience to Me "THE WORD" you dissolve into balance and I AM , therefore your quotient becomes Eternal and "We are one" . . . John 14:3 If I go and prepare a place for you , I will come again and will take you to myself , that where I...

1.) The King James Bible and/or Protestant Bible contains 39 Old Testament books and 27 New Testament books. Roman Catholics include all of these books within their sacred canon, with the addition of other books not included within the Protestant Canon. The Coptic Bible contains more books than all of the aforementioned (including the 27/39) and books that Roman Catholics believe to be canonical - and some other books. 2.) The First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD issued the Nicene Creed, adhered to by almost all Christians (Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox, Protestants and Coptics) with the exception of a...

I recently tweeted THIS PIECE on the attempts by Francis and his felonious thug toadies to execute a de facto abrogation of the Sixth Commandment, written under a nome de plume (or is that nome de guerre?) over at The Remnant Newspaper. When I read the author’s two concluding paragraphs, one thought entered my mind, and has not left since. That thought was, “Oh my gosh. THAT is the Abomination of Desolation.” First, let me quote the final two paragraphs from The Remnant’s piece: The gravity of this looming crisis cannot be overstated. If this proposal is adopted, it will...

Defending The Pre-trib Rapture After reading countless messages and articles that attack the pre-trib rapture, I've noticed a certain number of arguments that are repeatedly sent to me. Instead of trying to answer every individual e-mail I receive, I thought it would be a good idea to create a web page that addresses the most commonly mentioned points of debate. This way, I can avoid repeating myself so many times; thereby, maintain my sanity. Nowhere in the Bible, can you find the word "rapture"It amazes me that some folks write to me, questioning the validity of the rapture, simply...

The words of Jesus in Matthew 7:21-23 are often quoted, but commonly misapplied. In this familiar passage our Lord declared, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'" Unfortunately, this passage is often presented to genuine believers...
