Tough words from Billy and Karen Vaughn, whose only son Aaron gave his life in a 2011 crash of a SEAL Team Six Chinook helicopter in Afghanistan, perhaps in the shootdown shortly after the mission that killed Osama bin Laden. For years, Barack Obama relied on the success of the bin Laden mission to make the argument that he could lead the nation in war. Now the Vaughns accuse Obama of “a cowardly lack of leadership,†and demand his resignation over the administration’s failure to stop ISIS when it had opportunities to do so: On Monday, the Vaughns wrote...

A whopping 68 percent of Americans think there should be a law that prohibits kids 9 and under from playing at the park unsupervised, despite the fact that most of them no doubt grew up doing just that. What's more: 43 percent feel the same way about 12-year-olds. They would like to criminalize all pre-teenagers playing outside on their own (and, I guess, arrest their no-good parents). Those are the results of a Reason/Rupe poll confirming that we have not only lost all confidence in our kids and our communities—we have lost all touch with reality. "I doubt there has...

The list of things that offend Muslims is long. Muslims are incensed, ready too often to murder offenders of their religion. The offenses range from substantive criticism: the Danish cartoons, The Satanic Verses, Theo van Gogh and Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s film “Submissionâ€; to the trivial: the Three Little Pigs banned from British schools, a teddy bear named Mohammed. A blog called the Amboy Times has compiled several hundred more.Add to this list a sign in Winooski, Vermont, a suburb of Burlington, that said, “Yield for Sneakers Bacon.†(Not “Yield Sneakers Bacon†as reported in numerous outlets.) Sneakers is a local...

A breakfast restaurant in Vermont helped plant flower beds in city traffic medians. For their efforts the city of Winooski allowed Sneakers Bistro a sign on a lamp post. The sign read “yield for Sneakers bacon.” This apparently caused one Muslim great offense. You see, Muslims don’t eat pork. The Muslim complained loudly online and the city and Sneakers Bistro relented, removing the bacon sign while loudly proclaiming they don’t get involved in politics. Who knew bacon was a political issue? The mayor of Winooski, Kathrine Decarreau, believes the “cool part of living in a diverse community is that it’s...

THE beheading of American journalist, James Foley, at the hands of ISIS militants shocked the world but forensic experts have revealed the video was probably staged, with the murder happening off camera. The UK Times reported that an international forensic science company, which has worked for police forces across Britain, said there is no question Foley was beheaded but that camera trickery and post-production techniques look to have been used.

MANHATTAN (CN) - A contestant on "Dating Naked" claims in court that despite Viacom's promise that frontal and genital nudity would be blurred on the show, she was "shocked, horrified and outraged" to see that "her vagina and anus ... were fully exposed to all viewers" as she wrestled with her date. Jessie Nizewitz sued Viacom, Firelight International, and Lighthearted Entertainment on Wednesday, in New York County Supreme Court. Nizewitz, 28, claims that in March she submitted an application to audition for a then-untitled "reality dating television show." She had a Skype interview with casting agents that month, in which...

Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, a British rapper, is suspected by UK's SAS to be John, the man with an English accent who beheaded American journalist James Foley last week, the New York Post reports. In early August, Bary tweeted a photo of himself wearing a camouflage and black hood, while holding on his left hand a decapitated head. The 24-year-old rapper is the son of an Egypt-born militant now waiting for trial in Manhattan on terror charges for the bombing of US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998. He is one of the jihadists named by former hostages as member...

A Frenchman who was held captive with murdered American journalist James Foley for months said today he has a ‘rough’ idea who his executioner is. Didier Francois said a video of the suspected British jihadist stirred painful memories of being chained up in the dark with Mr Foley and other ISIS hostages in Syria. It came as a former MI6 chief said the British jihadist will be identified and the SAS will be sent to Syria to 'bring him to justice'.

The Sudanese woman who was sentenced to death for being a Christian has been released from her latest detention but has been charged with new crimes, MailOnline can reveal. Meriam Ibrahim has been accused of falsifying travel documents as she tried to leave the African country hours after the death penalty was dropped against her. It is understood that the authorities told her she should have used the Muslim name she had when she was born, not the Christian name she uses after choosing to worship that faith.

Taking time out of his busy golfing schedule to speak to graduates at the University of California Irvine this weekend, President Obama seized the moment as a way to "light a fire under" the graduates to get them to enlist in his regulation-heavy government-led climate change crusade. The president spent a significant amount of time discussing what his administration has done thus far to combat climate change, what they plan on doing, and how the graduates can help. He even used the speech as an opportunity to mock those who question the legitimacy of man-made climate change. Obama also blamed...

HAILEY, Idaho — Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's hometown abruptly canceled plans Wednesday for a welcome-home celebration, citing security concerns over the prospect of big crowds — both for and against the soldier. The town of 8,000 has been swamped with hate mail and angry calls over Bergdahl, whose release after five years of Taliban captivity in Afghanistan has touched off a debate over whether the 28-year-old should be given a hero's welcome or punished as a deserter.

'Rock legends Led Zeppelin are planning to tour and record but without frontman Robert Plant. Bassist John Paul Jones told BBC Radio Devon that a new singer was being sought after Plant ruled himself out. The last time the band performed together was at the O2 arena in London in December 2007. Speculation has since been rife that the surviving members of the band, with Jason Bonham, son of their late drummer John Bonham, would go back on the road. Jones, speaking at a guitar show in Exeter, Devon said: "We are trying out a couple of singers. "We want...

George Zimmerman, the man recently acquitted in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, helped rescue a family from an overturned SUV last week, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office confirmed today. According to sheriff's spokeswoman Heather Smith, deputies were called to the crash about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday. A Ford Explorer sport utility vehicle had gone off the road and rolled over in the area of Interstate 4 and State Road 46, Smith said, with two children and their parents inside. By the time a deputy arrived, Zimmerman and another man "had already helped assist the family by getting them out...
