Obama is giving a "press conference" now on TV. This is an epic adventure in gasbaggery. He is refusing to answer questions he doesn't like. He is answering questions about Libya with incoherent bursts of temper. The highlight so far is his insistence that the meager budget cuts proposed by Repubs is "unacceptable and dangerous" and that he will not consider signing a bill that contains them. He insists that all government spending is "investment." This is pretty clear. He will not or cannot accept reality. Expect CRs to continue for the rest of the FY.

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama voiced condolences to Japan Friday for the people who perished in a massive earthquake, saying the United States "stands ready to help" in any way it can. At the same time, Obama said in a statement that his administration will "continue to closely monitor tsunamis around Japan and the Pacific going forward" and he directed the Federal Emergency Management Agency to be ready to help if U.S. states or territories are struck.

For the eighth time in what increasingly looks like will be his only term, President Barack Obama held forth at a talking point dump, aka press conference. For a man dubbed “messianic” by the liberal elite, I can’t help but notice of late, Obama looks as comfortable in front of the camera as a blind agoraphobic in Grand Central Station during rush hour. Watching our increasingly desperate President try to hold the attention of even the fawning sycophants who comprise the bulk of the White House Press Corps was like watching a physics professor trying on homecoming Friday to hold...
