The two men who found the unexploded pressure cooker bomb in Chelsea are reportedly believed to be Egyptian tourists who have since returned to their homeland. Authorities had been trying to track them down since they were caught on surveillance video on West 27th Street removing the device from a duffel bag and then leaving with the bag on Sept. 17. Law-enforcement sources told The Post that investigators had identified the pair, but wouldn’t release their names.

We know you will be surprised to hear that Ithaca has been named among the “best cities for liberals” in the United States, according to a new ranking by Livability. The results cite Ithaca’s influence on Tompkins County, where 70% of voters supported President Obama in 2012 and Senator Bernie Sanders took a lead in this year’s presidential primary. Livability also points out that the City of Ithaca hasn’t elected a Republican mayor “since the mid 1980s.” (It’s actually been longer; Bill Shaw, the last Republican mayor, was elected in 1981 and served a two-year term before being succeeded by...

Cornell students passed a student-sponsored referendum to provide free tampons and pads in all Cornell bathrooms, with 78.6 percent of 3,034 voting students casting a ballot in favor. The "#FreetheTampon" initiative aims to provide all bathrooms on campus of both genders—yes, men’s too—with free menstrual products throughout the year, and comes shortly after Brown University recently implemented a similar program.

DEVELOPING: At least one person was killed and dozens more were hurt after a crowded train slammed into a busy station in Hoboken, N.J., during the Thursday morning commute, investigators and local media reported. The woman who died appeared to be standing on a nearby platform before the crash, a law enforcement source told Fox News, adding that the engineer was pulled from the train "semi-conscious" and rushed to a nearby hospital. People pulled concrete off bleeding victims and passengers kicked out the windows amid crying and screaming. At least 65 riders were injured, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said,...

Less than two weeks after the terrorist bombings in New Jersey and New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio’s administration is launching a new campaign against the “negative rhetoric targeting Muslim communities” that the city says gets worse after “terrorist incidents.” A press release from the city on Monday explained the reasoning for the new anti-anti-Islam efforts: “Across the country, hateful speech has made Muslim residents the target of misguided attacks and threats, especially in the aftermath of terrorist incidents,” states a press release from the city.

Chelsea Clinton said she didn’t know Hillary Clinton had pneumonia until she stumbled out of a 9/11 commemoration ceremony. During an interview with Cosmopolitan published Wednesday, the daughter of the Democratic nominee was asked why her mother didn’t disclose her illness to voters sooner when Chelsea admitted that not even she knew about it. “Well, I didn’t know that she had pneumonia,” Clinton told the magazine. “I didn’t know she had pneumonia until she came over to my apartment.”

The two men are not currently in the United States, and while they are not in custody, the FBI reportedly knows who they are and their whereabouts."

Ed Cox, chairman of the New York Republican State Committee and son-in-law of late President Richard Nixon, offered his review of Monday night’s presidential debate on Tuesday’s Breitbart News Daily. “I thought that Donald Trump really presented a broad vision for what he wanted, which is what a president has to do,” Cox told SiriusXM host Alex Marlow. As for Hillary Clinton, he said she offered a “very detailed, lots of words, very lawyerly kind of brief, but you fall asleep when you listen to that.” Cox said: When Donald Trump spoke, you really watch it because he’s going to...

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — If anything, the 2016 presidential election has been divisive, for the candidates and for voters. And so, when several Donald Trump campaign signs went missing from Charlie Tulumello’s front yard, he assumed it was just neighborhood kids playing a prank. Never did he think the thief was a former administrator at a local college, and a PhD in his 60s. After the thief struck twice, Tulumello decided to place a pair of trail cameras on trees in his front yard to catch any overnight action. Three times, a man — and twice with his dog —...

There were concerns that Lester Holt would be this debate's Candy Crowley. He was a good deal worse. Every question was shaped to frame a left-wing agenda. Holt hurled numerous attacks at Trump. He only passingly offered Hillary a chance to address her emails when Trump had already brought it up. The debate was structurally biased and Holt biased it. He repeatedly argued with Trump about the facts. Despite the ban on fact-checking, Holt attempted to debate Trump on the Iraq War and on the birth certificate. It was a disgraceful and a biased performance. It is a reminder that...

Lester Holt's actions at the first presidential debate were inexcusable. And also unsurprising. The day when media lefties were patient enough to believe that the system would work without being this blatant are over. They've been open this election about rejecting even the illusion of objectivity. The only question is why do Republicans continue to allow mainstream media figures to moderate presidential debates? Lester Holt decided to debate Trump. But you can increasingly expect this kind of behavior from any media figure below a certain age to whom the concept of journalism is a dead and incomprehensible notion. Or rather,...

The American Civil Liberties Union on Monday began representing a man accused of setting off bombs in New York and New Jersey and injuring more than 30 people. After judges in both states denied attempts by public defenders to represent Ahmed Khan Rahami, a lawyer for the organization’s New Jersey chapter entered a notice of appearance in his case in federal court in Newark on Monday. Rahami has been hospitalized since he was caught following a shootout with police in Linden last week. He has not made an initial court appearance. …

During the Sunday broadcast of New York AM 970 radio’s “The Cats Roundtable,” former New York City Democratic Mayoral Candidate Andrew Stein endorsed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, ... “I think the country’s in trouble. ... Our military is being decimated by Obama’s cuts,” ... He’ll cut taxes like JFK and Reagan did and stimulate the economy.” Stein later added, “He’s a real doer. Hillary exemplifies the status quo.”

In terms of Trump’s preparation, Clovis said, “I think what he’s done is, like we’ve done with almost every other opportunity like this, he is focused. He’s taking this very seriously.” “He won’t prep like Mrs. Clinton did,” asserted Clovis, who elaborated

Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” after revealing polling data showing Republican presidential nominee tied with his Democratic counterpart Hillary Clinton in a number of national and battleground state polls, host Joe Scarborough explained why he viewed this election as unprecedented and said Trump supporters now have “every reason to believe” Trump could emerge victorious in November.
