The bicyclist doesn’t remember seeing the youths run at him as he pedaled home late Tuesday afternoon on the Metropolitan Branch Trail, but he certainly recalls one knocking him off his bike and at least a dozen others piling on, punching and kicking him in the head. What the 37-year-old can’t understand is why they did it. They didn’t take his $500 bicycle. They ignored his cellphone. They didn’t want the $20 in his wallet. In fact, the victim said, “I didn’t hear a word.” And the lack of apparent motive is haunting the married father of two, who uses...

After one murder and who knows how many beatings, city officials finally admitted the Knockout Game has come to Syracuse. Absent one fact: The Knockout Game is part of an epidemic of black mob violence played hundreds of times across the country. It is documented in “White Girl Bleed a Lot: The return of racial violence and how the media ignore it.” But the chief of police and the mayor could not bring themselves to say it. Talking with reporters Thursday night, they said the violence was a “random … teenage” thing. One week after the fatal attack, the Syracuse...

New Orleans (CNN) -- A suspect has been identified in a New Orleans parade shooting that left 19 people injured. Police Superintendent Ronal Serpas said that authorities are looking for 19-year-old Akein Scott. The Minister Louis Farrakhan’s son, Mustapha, is making headlines in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs after some intriguing claims were made in a Chicago Sun-Times article on Sunday. A registered police officer with the Harvey Police Department in Harvey, Illinois, Mustapa allegedly hasn’t worked a shift in more than four years. However, that’s not what’s raising eyebrows. According to state records, a lack of employment activity with the police force hasn’t stopped the man, known as “Supreme Captain” of the Nation of Islam (a title that means he could one day take his father’s place) from purportedly exercising police duties....

"That there should be this lingering infestation of really corrupt people who sit trying to dismantle the wishes of the people [Republicans, Conservatives, and The Tea Party], the mandate that has been given to Barack Obama, and I don't know what more they want. The only thing left for Barack Obama to do is to work like a 3rd world dictator and just put all these guys in jail." -- Harry Belefonte interviewed by Al Sharpton on MSNBC

We spoke with the man, who, almost a week later, has two black eyes and a swollen face. He told us he was leaving the restaurant when a group of black men near the door called him a "tree honkey." He said he had never heard that, but it "tickled" him, so he turned to ask them what it meant. He said that is when one man hit him, and another hit him in the head with a stun gun; he fell, and others began kicking him in the head.

Let’s say thousands of people riot in your upscale downtown neighborhood. And it happens a few dozen times in just a few years: Not just partying, but violence, destruction, theft and serious injuries. Question: If people notice that most of the criminals were black and most of the victims were white, does that make them racist? Depends. In Philadelphia, it makes you a hero. In Baltimore, a bigot.

The small but vocal New Black Panther Party is woefully disappointed in President Barack Obama, and is openly implying that the best way to reach its goals is no longer through “the ballot” but through “the bullet.” In the Spring edition of the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) newspaper — cover reading “The Ballot or The Bullet: which way for black people?” — NBPP Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz breaks down the presidential election, concluding the Democratic Party is the “institutional pimp of Black peoples and the Black Nation” and that Obama has “been a real disappointment.” “Black peoples are the...
