Ron Paul has some surprising news for the Tea Party: You’re being taken for a ride. At least this is what many libertarians like Ron Paul believe when they see someone like Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin trying to lead the Tea Party at the “restoring honor” rally this weekend. In fact, Ron Paul believes, if you’re looking for real freedom, you should really go back to the core of the constitution and the bill of rights, which Beck and Palin do not fully endorse when you really look at their beliefs. Whether it be Palin’s support for starting more...

Congressman Ron Paul today released the following statement on the controversy concerning the construction of an Islamic Center and Mosque in New York City: “Is the controversy over building a mosque near ground zero a grand distraction or a grand opportunity? Or is it, once again, grandiose demagoguery?” .“Is the controversy over building a mosque near ground zero a grand distraction or a grand opportunity? Or is it, once again, grandiose demagoguery? “It has been said, “Nero fiddled while Rome burned.” Are we not overly preoccupied with this controversy, now being used in various ways by grandstanding politicians? It looks...

Buffalo police rescued a cat from a Cheektowaga man who apparently was planning to make a meal out of his pet because he thought it was ill-tempered, authorities said Monday. When Ferry-Fillmore District officers pulled over a car driven by Gary L. Korkuc on Sunday night during a traffic stop, they said they heard a cat crying from inside the trunk and investigated. What they found has left animal lovers at the SPCA Serving Erie County in shock. The cat, according to police, was in a cage “marinating” in a mixture of crushed red peppers, chili pepper, salt and oil....

It's one thing to have liberal guilt, but this is taking it way too far. In a video posted to YouTube on Aug. 5, popular liberal talk host Thom Hartmann, identified what he considered was the appropriate way to cope with this guilt type, specifically that of which came with the issue of LGBT rights. Hartmann hails himself as "the 10th most important talk show host in America, and the No. 1 most important progressive host, in their ‘Heavy Hundred' ranking" according to Talkers Magazine, Hartmann laid out the reasoning chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker used in an Aug....

Facebook has sensationally banned the official Alex Jones Facebook page after a customer services representative admitted that all material containing images of the famous Gadsden flag was being deleted by the social networking giant. Not confirmed as of now. I suppose the best way to find out is to post a Gadsden flag on Facebook!

"Shakedown" lawsuits against businesses have a new champion: Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla. The lawmaker from Orlando wants to import to the District of Columbia a scheme that allowed lawyers in California to run a litigation protection racket against mom-and-pop businesses. In a case now before D.C.'s local Court of Appeals, Grayson is asking to have the District's consumer protection ordinance interpreted -- or, rather, misinterpreted -- to permit lawsuits against businesses even if the plaintiff didn't suffer any injury.

Al Gore is on record as calling “climate change” a greater threat to humanity than terrorism or rogue dictators with nukes, and Barbara “Ma’am” Boxer has followed suit by saying that “carbon pollution, leading to climate change, will be, over the next 20 years, the leading cause of conflict.” And the only knock on Barbara Boxer that Carly Fiorina could make on open-mic night was about her hair? (name corrected, wrote earlier Meg Whitman said that, sorry Meg!) If by “conflict” she means harsh opposition to the continued takeover of the U.S. from within under the guise of saving the...

Opining today that the Gulf oil disaster is the perfect crisis with which to force cleaner, renewable, and un-Godly expensive and cost-ineffective sources of energy down our throats, Paul McCartney could have stopped there. But he didn't:

Jonah Goldberg might want to file this one away for his sequel to Liberal Fascism . . . On his MSNBC show this evening, Ed Schultz sputtered that it's "pathetic" that Glenn Beck is "on the airwaves in this country" and "allowed" to express his opposition to public schools and support for home-schooling and vouchers. Schultz aired a clip in which Beck had this to say . . . View video here.

Tim Mullins, a New Mexico GOP congressional nominee, said in a radio interview last month that placing landmines on the border might be an effective way to secure the border. Before he won the Republican primary on June 1, Tim Mullins told a correspondent for KNMX radio that the United States could mine the border and put up barbed wire with signs that redirected people to checkpoints, the Associated Press reports. "We could put land mines along the border. I know it sounds crazy. We could put up signs in 23 different languages if necessary," Mullins said., arguing that the...

Here is shocking video of North Carolina Democrat Rep. Bob Etheridge being asked by some students on a public sidewalk in Washington, D.C. if he supports the “Obama Agenda.” Once he realized the students were asking him that question, he went bonkers. Etheridge hit their camera and then grabbed one of the students by the arm as he repeated over and over “Who are you, Who are you? Tell me who you are?” The students identified themselves as such, but Etheridge persisted. At one point he then grabbed the student whose arm he had been holding onto and pulled himself...

So what is the matter with Obama? Conservatives have been asking this question for some time. I've written a number of articles trying to solve the mystery. Even some liberals are starting to wonder. James Carville railed about Obama's blasé attitude after the catastrophic oil spill. The New York Times' Maureen Dowd revamped Obama's "Yes We Can" motto into "Will We Ever?" The liberal women of the TV show "The View" have expressed sympathy for Michelle Obama's living with a man so out of touch. Peggy Noonan, hardly a vehement Obama foe, recently pronounced him disconnected. Obama's odd mannerisms intrigue...

Jason “Crash The Tea Party” Levin Still Blaming “Teabaggers” For Time Square Bomb May, 6, 2010 — nicedeb You remember our friend, Jason Levin, right? It was less than a month ago that his attempt to lead a lefty moonbat invasion of the tax day tea parties ended in abject failure, his pathetic site, “Crash the Tea Party” got overrun by conservative trolls, and he was put on administrative leave from his job at a Middle School in Oregon for his bizarre antics. What could he possibly do to top that, you ask? Well…. He’s now posting at a nutroot...

April 11, 2010 Richard Dawkins: I Will Arrest Pope Benedict XVI Marc Horne Atheist campaigner Richard Dawkins RICHARD DAWKINS, the atheist campaigner, is planning a legal ambush to have the Pope arrested during his state visit to Britain “for crimes against humanity”. Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, the atheist author, have asked human rights lawyers to produce a case for charging Pope Benedict XVI over his alleged cover-up of sexual abuse in the Catholic church. The pair believe they can exploit the same legal principle used to arrest Augusto Pinochet, the late Chilean dictator, when he visited Britain in 1998. The...

Pelosi and the Tea Party 'Share Views' February 28, 2010 8:15 AM House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she has much in common with the Tea Party. The speaker now says she shares views with movement she dismissed last summer as being “Astroturf” -- her suggestion that the grassroots of the Tea Party were a creation of the Republican Party. In a “This Week” interview with ABC’s Elizabeth Vargas, Pelosi said, “We share some of the views of the Tea Partiers in terms of the role of special interest in Washington, D.C., as -- it just has to stop. And that's...
