Lady Godiva and her hubby, Leofric, the Earl Of Mercia were both generous to Christian religious houses. He established a Benedictine monastery in Coventry. She gave gold and silver jewelry to monasteries. One necklace was hung on the neck of the Virgin Mary. The first known Rosary-like string of prayer beads was made by her. That's history. Different times. According to legend, LG was deeply troubled by oppressive taxation of the people by her husband and entreated him again and again to lower taxes but he refused. However she persisted and eventually he gave in on the condition that she...

VIDEOJudging from the accent of the speaker I am pretty sure this weird clothes free event happened in the USA. As to the reason for this insanity I have no idea except that I am sure it is definitely NOT a group of MAGA people. If you know the story behind this please post it in the comments. Oh, and who had the task of painting these weirdos? All I know is this illustrates why wearing clothing in public should be mandatory, especially including those out of shape.

Does an obscure document, hidden among the hundreds of documents released recently from Iraq and Afghanistan, provide evidence linking Al Qaeda operative Ramzi Yousef to the Oklahoma City attack on the MurrahBuilding? The Arabic-language handwritten document, numbered AFGP-2002-801138, and available at http://www.ctc.usma.edu/aq/AFGP-2002-801138-Orig.pdf , contains a series of pages that were written in what appears to be some sort of daily planner. The daily planner appears to be a standard daily calendar/agenda book, containing a daily calendar for the year 2000. The dates within the calendar are in English, and have the Islamic dates for each day as well. The planner...

Going to bed in the buff has more perks than you might think. These research-backed benefits will have you ditching the dowdy flannels and sleeping naked tonight. Sleeping naked could improve your sleep quality People may sleep better in cooler temps than warmer ones. Why? Your natural body temperature naturally declines as you sleep, says Christine Hansen, certified sleep coach, member of the National Sleep Foundation, and founder of Sleep Like a Boss. As your body temperature declines, your cortisol levels go down and your melatonin levels go up. “That’s why when it’s too hot, you feel nervous and jumpy...

Fort Collins, Colorado, decided not to continue its challenge to a federal court’s decision that a ban on going topless in the city amounts to unconstitutional discrimination, NBC News reported. The city had argued that a repeal of the ban would lead to women “parading in front of elementary schools or swimming topless in the public pool,” according to the report. The city decided not to appeal the decision this month after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on the legal battle already, NBC reported. The decision to not move forward with the appeal effectively legalizes the practice in the...

A federal court ruling over a ban on women going topless in public has essentially made it legal for women to go topless in public in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Kansas, and Oklahoma, according to a local TV station. The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, which is over those six states, struck down the topless ban in Ft. Collins, Colo. after two women sued the city for the right to go topless in public. Since Ft. Collins is not appealing the decision (the next step would be the Supreme Court), that means topless bans in those six states are...

Of the rock festivals of the sixties, the Woodstock Music and Art Fair was by far the most famous. Held on a 600-acre dairy farm near Bethel, N.Y. on August 15–17, 1969, the festival is the iconic representation of the drug-addled culture and sexual revolution that upended American life. This August marks the fiftieth anniversary of the era-defining event. Some have called for celebrating with another concert. The occasion is hardly a cause for celebration—so many of the cultural changes after Woodstock had catastrophic consequences. Most do not know that the concert was a disaster—even from an organizational point of...

The Blue Bikes, which is a partnership between the City of New Orleans and Social Bicycles and is sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, were introduced in 2017. Blue Bikes New Orleans members can simply walk up to any Blue Bike parked at dozens of designated spots around the city, enter their membership code to pop open the lock and pedal away. But, with temperatures in New Orleans exceeding 90 degrees on the day of the ride, the sight of sweaty, unclothed people pedaling around on the shared bikes has raised concerns over personal hygiene for both...

Something showed up on TV screens at the La Crosse Airport on Thursday that wasn’t supposed to be there. The airport won’t say exactly what was shown to people on screens at the terminal, but the airport management went on social media to apologize for ‘inappropriate content.’ The airport says the problem came from Charter Communications, which has not responded to our request for a comment. Other businesses in La Crosse reportedly saw the same programming, apparently including nudity and sexual content, on their TV monitors.

NICEVILLE — Responding to a house fire last week, Niceville police officers and firefighters encountered an odd sight. When firefighters got to the home around 5:30 p.m., they could see smoke coming from inside. A naked man opened the front door, said, “I’m sorry” and closed the door. Police officers arrived shortly after to assist. The man came to the door again, left it open and went back into the house. The man admitted to drinking two liters of vodka and smoking marijuana starting around 9 a.m. that morning. He was examined at the scene and had no life-threatening injuries,...

Public Eroticism and the Collapse of Judeo-Christian Morality Unsuspecting individuals and parents along with their children around the world are being unwittingly and shockingly exposed to the growing number of highly-publicized events such as World Naked Bike Rides (WNBR), in which participants flout their nudity as a form of “political protest” to promote a “more body-positive world.” Casting all modesty aside, to draw attention to themselves the riders use bullhorns, boomboxes, musical instruments and other forms of public address systems to ensure that their exhibitionism does not go unnoticed. The party often continues at local parks and other public venues,...

An actors' union is calling for on-set observers to monitor all sex scenes for major Hollywood films. The move, triggered by the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal, is part of a new code of conduct from the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, which represents more than 160,000 actors in the US. The union, SAG-AFTRA, produced a detailed seven-page guide that aims to tackle workplace sexual harassment in films, TV shows and commercials.

An exhibition by US photographer Jock Sturges, best known for his works featuring teenage nudity, has been shut down in Moscow after some protesters blocked the venue and accused the artist of shooting child pornography. Camouflaged men, representing the NGO Officers of Russia, turned up at the Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography on Sunday afternoon. They blocked the entrance to the building, saying they were going to evaluate the contents of the exhibition for “pedophilic” contents.

The proper headline for this story could be: "Women go topless to protest inequality." "Men put on bikini tops to protest inequality." "UFO religion leader promotes topless protests nationwide." "Race car driver abducted by aliens launches topless movement as part of spiritual awakening" Or, "Women can go topless whenever they want San Francisco, so who cares if they do it Sunday?" Any of the above would be accurate. As women take off their bras and blouses in Union Square Sunday, and men don string bikinis tops in solidarity, the San Francisco Go Topless day celebrants may not realize the strange...

Slate's Mark Joseph Stern writes that "If You Are Not Comfortable Being Naked Around Other People, You Are Not an Adult" As a Little Child, My Pants Were Pulled Down. I'm age three. It's about 4:30 in the afternoon, in late July or early August. The little rectangular swimming pool is rectangular, it's dark green, heavy canvas-plastic mounted on white metal tubing with white plastic caps on the ends on the ground. There are little, elongated red rectangular seats in the corners. The pool is in the shadow of bushes from a neighboring yard to the west. I'm in the west end of the pool, facing...
