    Historically, once a country is on a path to socialism, it is very nearly impossible to turn it around. It also takes upwards of 100 years to work socialism out of society. This is where, I believe, America is now heading. The liberals have managed to create a voting system that almost ensures an electoral win every single time and I don't think America can recover.
