Sturgeon embarrasses herself in car crash interview. Scottish leader Nicola Sturgeon says transgender criminals convicted for raping women are women, despite a car crash interview in which she appeared to flip flop all over the place. The controversy began after 31-year-old Adam Graham, who was was found guilty of raping the two women during frenzied sex attacks, was sent to Scotland’s only all female prison. Only when on trial for the attacks did Graham announce that he was “transitioning” into a woman, a process which seemingly culminated in him wearing a bad wig and cheap make-up. The rapist was clearly...

Secretary of State for Justice Dominic Raab said that the changes will "ensure a sensitive and common-sense approach to meeting the needs of women in custody." .... The UK government has announced a reform of its transgender prison policy that will mean trans-identified males who have male genitalia or have been convicted of sexual offenses will no longer be held in women’s prisons. The policy will allow for exemptions, to be assessed on a case-by-case basis, but the Ministry of Justice stresses that “only the most truly exceptional cases will be considered.” ... The announcement comes in the midst of...

It’s all eyes on Scotland this week, after First Minister Nicola Sturgeon's surprising decision to stand down. And with a TikTok ban and a Tory tax row, it’s far from a quiet week on the rocket. Liam thinks Sturgeon's determination to have her own way on gender identity issues ultimately led to her downfall. Allison believes she ran out of road on Scottish independence, and predicts Labour could be the biggest benefactors of her shock exit. Also stepping into the sanctuary of sweet reason is author and journalist Peter Hitchens, who joins our co-pilots to discuss his latest book ‘A...

There was fury today after a transgender rapist attacked two women as a man then changed gender before the trial. Isla Bryson was a shaven-headed Adam Graham with a Mike Tyson-style face tattoo when they carried out the violent sex attacks in 2016 and 2019 after abusing the victims they originally met online. Bryson, who claimed to have had gender issues since the age of four, began transitioning from a man to a woman in 2020 after being charged with the rapes. The attacker denied the accusations, telling jurors any sex was consensual - although Bryson insisted she did not...

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced that she is putting Scotland into full lockdown, with schools closed and the public required to stay in their homes. “I can confirm now in summary that we have decided to introduce from midnight tonight for the duration of January a legal requirement to stay at home except for essential purposes,” said Sturgeon, who leads the left-separatist Scottish National Party (SNP) in comments to Scotland’s devolved parliament — roughly equivalent to a state legislature in the United States.

Nicola Sturgeon today announced parts of Scotland that are home to millions of people will be moved into its toughest coronavirus level at the end of the week as she warned infection rates remain 'stubbornly high'. The First Minister said 11 council areas, which include the city of Glasgow and have a combined population of approximately 2.3 million people, will be subject to Level Four restrictions from 6pm on Friday. People living in Level Four areas are banned from meeting with other households indoors while all non-essential shops must close.

NICOLA STURGEON was one of thousands of Scots on the march yesterday as Donald Trump played golf at Turnberry. The First Minister led the Pride parade in Glasgow in support of LGBT equality while protests against the president’s visit to Scotland took place in Edinburgh and at his two golf resorts. Ms Sturgeon had been named honorary grand marshal for Pride and led 8,000 people through the city centre to a festival at Kelvingrove Park in the West End. After the march she said she had accepted the invitation from Pride before Mr Trump’s visit to Scotland this weekend was...

A battle over her support for transgender rights is not, by Nicola Sturgeon’s account, the reason she is quitting as Scotland’s first minister. But the issue has dogged her in recent weeks, precipitating a clash with the British government and ensnaring her in a messy episode involving a convicted rapist who was held in a women’s prison. Ms. Sturgeon’s problems began in December when the Scottish Parliament passed legislation that would allow transgender people to have the gender with which they identify legally recognized and to get a new birth certificate without a medical diagnosis. Britain’s government swiftly rejected the...

The U.K. government on Monday blocked a law voted by Scotland’s parliament on gender recognition, the first time that the London-based government has stopped a Scottish law from passing, in a move that will deepen divisions between Scottish nationalists and the U.K. The controversial Scottish law, passed in November, makes it easier for transgender people to get official government recognition of their acquired gender by removing any need for a medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria and lowering the age from 18 to 16. “I have not taken this decision lightly,” said the Secretary of State for Scotland Alister Jack. He...

Scotland has become a progressive Petri dish where woke ideas are cultivated, brought to virulent reality and let loose on the public. Wishing to create a new criminal offence of attempting to change a person’s sexuality or gender identity, Scotland’s SNP/Green administration established an Expert Advisory Group on Ending Conversion Practices (EAG). The resulting EAG ‘Report and Recommendations’ outlines 32 ‘guiding principles’ which, if implemented in a Bill to be presented to the Scottish Parliament later this year, could prohibit practices such as talking therapies, parental chats, prayer and preaching. The Christian Institute warns: ‘If the Scottish government follows the...

Authorities in Scotland can’t seem to stop getting themselves into trouble when it comes to wrestling with issues involving gender and sex offenders. First, they passed the Gender Recognition Reform Act only days before Christmas, making it easier for people to legally “change their gender” for official purposes. Now, in an end-of-the-year report issued by the head of Police Scotland, they have referred to pedophiles as “minor-attracted persons.” (MAPs) The news was immediately met with protests from child welfare groups as well as gay rights groups. But Chief Constable Iain Livingstone is defending the language, saying that he was only...

Nicola Sturgeon’s government rejected pleas to make concessions to critics of its controversial transgender reforms Teenagers as young as 15 will be able to begin the process of legally changing their sex after MSPs blocked a last-ditch bid to exclude children from Nicola Sturgeon’s transgender reforms. The SNP government on Tuesday rejected pleas to make meaningful concessions to critics of its controversial proposals, as a minister confirmed that Scots would become eligible to apply to change their legal sex on the day of their 16th birthday. Shona Robison, a close ally of Ms Sturgeon who is steering the bill through...

'We are disrupting this talk. We’re not letting you spread your harmful rhetoric against people with uteruses [sic]…. We are not allowing this to happen on our campus.'EDINBURGH (LifeSiteNews) – A group of pro-abortion demonstrators interrupted a pro-life lecture at Edinburgh University last night, effectively silencing the woman presenter and taking control of the meeting. “Stop this talk right now,” shouted a North American woman through a megaphone. “We are disrupting this talk. We’re not letting you spread your harmful rhetoric against people with uteruses [sic]…. We are not allowing this to happen on our campus.” Margaret Akers of the...

The new law means period products will be available to access in public buildings including schools and universities across Scotland. It will be the responsibility of local authorities and education providers to ensure the products are available free of charge. In 2018, the Scottish government announced that students in schools, colleges and universities across the country would be able to access sanitary products for free, through a £5.2 million ($6.3 million) investment. In 2019, it allocated another £4 million ($4.85 million) to make period products available without charge in libraries and recreational centers.

The appointment of a man as Scotland's first "period dignity officer" has provoked widespread criticism. Critics say the job should have gone to a woman and former tennis star Martina Navratilova has labelled the appointment of Jason Grant "f****** ridiculous". Mr Grant, a former personal trainer, has been given the job of promoting access to free sanitary products in schools and colleges across the Tay region. The role also includes discussing issues around the menopause. His appointment comes as Scotland becomes the first country in the world to introduce a law to widen access, free of charge, to sanitary products....

The Covenant Fellowship Scotland, a think tank of evangelicals within the Church of Scotland, issued a statement:…”The General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, in converting an overture permitting ministers and deacons to officiate at same-sex marriages into an Act of the Church, has acted in a way which is both unbiblical and sinful…But we must nevertheless point to the complete absence of any compelling or persuasive biblical evidence that might permit ministers and deacons of the Church of Scotland to officiate at same sex marriages.”Members of the General Assembly in Edinburgh voted to change church law following years of...

Nicola Sturgeon is to resign as Scotland's first minister after more than eight years in the role. The Scottish National Party leader is expected to make the announcement at a hastily-arranged news conference in Edinburgh. It is not thought that her departure will be immediate, allowing time for a successor to be elected. A source close to Ms Sturgeon - the longest-serving first minister - told the BBC that she had "had enough".

J.K. Rowling has in-shirt-ed herself into a new transgender controversy. The outspoken “Harry Potter” author posted a photo of herself Thursday wearing a T-shirt calling a UK politician behind a controversial gender-identity reform a “destroyer of women’s rights.” Rowling — who has faced death threats over previous comments accused of being transphobic — proudly wore the garment to “stand in solidarity” with protests before a hearing of the Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill.
