Real-estate magnate Donald Trump's presidential campaign is filled with internal conflict, New York magazine reported Thursday. "It turns out that, inside a campaign that's been built on attacking seemingly anyone and everyone, the staff has now turned to attacking each other," Gabriel Sherman wrote. Sherman added that the campaign's "civil war" broke out into the public view after Business Insider revealed a Trump adviser's history of racially provocative Facebook posts last week. The adviser, Sam Nunberg, was fired from the campaign as a result on Sunday.

A man has been arrested after apparently attempting to commit suicide by driving a car rigged to explode off of a cliff in northwestern Arizona. Mohave County Sheriff's officials say 55-year-old James Lyle Pierson, from Washington state, was booked Wednesday on suspicion of disorderly conduct involving a dangerous instrument. Authorities say Pierson rigged his four-door sedan with propane bottles, gasoline and shotgun shells in an attempt to make the car explode during a crash. But it didn't go off when he drove off a steep embankment Tuesday night.

People.com said Monday Polanski had been transferred from prison to a hospital in Zurich Friday to undergo tests for an undisclosed medical condition. He reportedly was expected to stay at the facility for several days. The magazine's Web site said the ailment is a pre-existing condition that cannot be treated while Polanski is behind bars. The Swiss newspaper Blick said Polanski was also admitted to the hospital for X-rays on a previous occasion since his arrest.
