No matter where you are in Hudson County — from Jersey City's Liberty State Park, the piers of Hoboken or the Waterfront Walkway in Weehawken — the views across the river now seem dominated by One World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan. But that massive building, standing at 1,776-feet tall, recently made Slate's ignominious list of The 11 Worst Buildings of 2014. One World Trade Center, writes Slate's Kriston Capps, "may stand as the worst project of a generation."

One World Trade Center is getting its mouth washed out with soap. A day after the Daily News exposed the racist and sexist graffiti inside a building that’s supposed to symbolize national unity, workers were ordered to clean the mess and paint over the filth. Meanwhile, Port Authority police launched an investigation—and dispatched officers with cameras to the men’s rooms Monday to take pictures of the heinous scrawls. They’ll hit the ladies’ rooms in the still-under-construction building on Tuesday. …
