A bipartisan bill that would expand the First Amendment rights of student journalists in public high schools and universities has been met with opposition from school administrators who say they must maintain editorial control over school-sponsored media. The legislation's prospects are questionable this late in the legislative season, even though the bill was advanced to the Senate floor and has support from civil liberties organizations and student journalist groups. Senate Bill 848, the "Student free press and civics readiness act," was introduced in March by Sen. Rick Jones, R-Grand Ledge. The bill would prohibit school administrators from censoring school-sponsored publications...

New York Observer owner — and Donald Trump's son-in-law — Jared Kushner has had a "brief," informal chat with deal maker and LionTree chief exec Aryeh Bourkoff about a postelection Trump-brand media network, according to the Financial Times, citing sources familiar with the matter. Kushner reportedly reached out to the head of the boutique investment bank, a personal friend, over the last few months. Bourkoff is the financial advisor behind Walt Disney's (DIS) 2014 acquisition of Maker Studios, as well as a number of other deals. Trump had told the Washington Post in mid-September that he had "no interest in...

As the corporate-owned, liberal legacy media continues its “all in” offensive to get Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, elected president, the man she would replace in the oval office is going on the offensive against alternative news sources. “We are going to have to rebuild within this ‘Wild, Wild West’ of information flow some sort of curating function that people agree to,” U.S. president Barack Obama said on Thursday during a speech in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Wait … what? “Curating function?” That sounds an awful lot like censorship to us … While Obama claimed he was not embracing censorship, he said...

According to an unnamed intelligence officer, Ecuador has caved to pressure from the Clintons and is extraditing Julian Assange. “Assange will likely be imprisoned or dead in the next 12 hours,” revealed the source. “If they get me for sharing this, at least I died a patriot.” Assange has apparently threatened to kill himself if he is removed from the embassy. "it was pretty critical that the President threw the gauntlet down last time on the Court, warning them in the first case that it would politicize the role of the Court for them to rule against the ACA. As a close reader of the case, I honestly believe that was vital to scaring Roberts off"

In a new video released by Project Veritas Action, James O’Keefe exposes the “misogynistic” nature of the Hillary Clinton campaign and its organizers, who joke about sexually harassing women and committing voter fraud on the campaign. Be ready, be steady, be resolute. Vote Donald Trump Stop letting the spitball media and its know-it-all all, swelled talking heads con you into thinking that this election is all about morality; a morality that they get to devise. Ignore the polls, quit with the long-playing arguments on whether or not Donald Trump should be denied the presidency over an 11-year-old video kept in someone’s bottom desk drawer until the potential of its blackmail flushed it out into the open. Real life is not the omnipresent digital images of the Obamas, Clintons and Bush’s hugging each other. Real life is...

NEW VIDEO: NYC Dem Election Commissioner, "they bus people around to vote...There is a lot of #voterfraud." The Manhattan Democratic representative on the city’s Board of Elections was caught on a secret video slamming Mayor de Blasio’s municipal ID program as contributing to “all kinds of fraud” — including at the polls. “He gave out ID cards, de Blasio. That’s in lieu of a driver’s license, but you can use it for anything,” Commissioner Alan Schulkin said in the undercover video recorded by a muckraker for conservative nonprofit Project Veritas. http://nypost.com/2016/10/11/elections-official-caught-on-video-blasting-de-blasios-id-program/

“Donald Trump is the right's Anthony Weiner,” Beck told Business Insider, adding that “this will only end in epic shame.” “I would hope that conservatives will take a step back and see who they are looking to as their champion,” he said. “For the good of our credibility I would beg people not to defend this or excuse this horrific behavior. If this was said in front of you, what would you say? If your son said this, what would you say? If it was said about your daughter or it was your wife, what would you say?" Beck asked.

Shep is a Florida Man himself—or at least set up shop there for 11 years. Maybe it's a little personal for him. But he really went in here: "This moves 20 miles to the west, you and everyone you know are dead. All of you...and your kids die, too."

In a live post-debate "Kelly File," Frank Luntz talked to a focus group of Republican voters. The group expressed their dissatisfaction with the performance of Donald Trump. Overall, Luntz noted that the majority of the group had a positive view of Trump going in, but that was not the case by the end of the two-hour debate. Luntz said that his reaction meters showed a very negative response to Trump refusing to rule out a third-party run. When asked which candidates surprised them, the voters pointed to Mike Huckabee and Ben Carson.

Centuries of struggles and strife, decades of planning and pain, and years of hoping for a place that African American history can call home will culminate as President Obama officially opens the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. African American history is a central part of our glorious American history." Before formally opening the museum, Obama will ring the Freedom Bell, acquired in 1886 by the historic First Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Va., believed to be...
