What will Cruz and Beck do now??

Ted Cruz is leaving the door open to reviving his campaign to challenge Donald Trump for the Republican presidential nomination. “Listen, let’s be very clear: If there is a path to victory, we launched this campaign intending to win,” the Texas senator told conservative radio host Glenn Beck on Tuesday. “The reason we suspended the race last week is with Indiana’s loss I didn’t see a viable path to victory. If that changes, we will certainly respond accordingly.”

Ted Cruz on Tuesday floated the possibility of restarting his presidential campaign if he wins Nebraska’s GOP primary Tuesday. Cruz, who ended his White House run last week, said he does not expect that to happen, but he’s leaving the door open. "We launched this campaign intending to win. The reason we suspended our campaign was that with the Indiana loss, I felt there was no path to victory," he said Tuesday on Glenn Beck's radio program. "If that changes, we will certainly respond accordingly."

I just got done watching the Trump rally in WV, and one thing that concerned me was that Trump was saying it was over and he had it won and had the delegates. He told the people in WV they could save their vote for November. He said they don't need to vote in the primary on Tuesday. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he still doesn't have the West Virginia delegates, does he? He's the presumptive nominee, but he still is short under 200 delegates, right? Thus this would mean he needs the votes in West Virginia and elsewhere...

Midland University President Ben Sasse has picked up another big-name conservative endorsement in the Nebraska Senate Republican primary from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). In a statement, Cruz called Sasse the “strongest conservative voice” in the race. “Ben will not be just another vote in the Senate – he will be a leader in the fight to stop the Obama agenda and repeal ObamaCare from day one. Just two weeks ago, the battle for the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate seat in Nebraska was between state Attorney General Jim Bruning and state Treasurer Don Stenburg. Neither inspired the growing base of conservative voters. They were, to be charitable, standard conservative-ish career politicians. Mama Grizzly Sarah Palin shook up the race with a late endorsement of state Senator Debby Fischer. It made all the difference. I follow politics very closely, yet I hadn't heard of the Fischer candidacy until Palin's endorsement.
