A large majority of Americans think the country is headed in the wrong direction, and much of their blame for the nation’s woes rests on President Joe Biden and the worsening economic crisis. A new poll from NBC News found that 75 percent of U.S. adults think the nation is on the wrong track. That’s the highest number of unsatisfied Americans since the nation’s last notable recession in 2008. It’s also up nearly 20 percentage points since this time last year and up two percentage points from January 2021 when Biden was inaugurated. IMAGE Most of these Americans’ concerns can...

A new poll released by NBC claims it found that Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden is leading President Donald Trump by a whopping 14 points.According to NBC News, this is a post-debate poll that has the calm and cool Biden pulling ahead of that dastardly, bloviating Trump for his biggest lead since July: Biden is now ahead of Trump by 14 points among registered voters, 53 percent to 39 percent — up from his 8-point lead in the previous poll, before the debate. The 14-point advantage represents Biden’s largest lead in the NBC News/WSJ poll during the entire campaign; his previous...

Our latest national NBC/WSJ poll is bad news for Donald Trump's prospects three weeks out until Election Day, and the problem for him runs deeper than the headline result showing Trump trailing Hillary Clinton by double digits. He's also underperforming Mitt Romney with key parts of the electorate, including women, men, Latinos, whites, and whites with college degrees. Just look at comparison between Trump's standing in our new poll and Romney's eventual standing in the 2012 exit poll: As NBC/WSJ co-pollster Bill McInturff (R) observes, these numbers in the poll don't align with anyone who has gone on to win...

During the opening 6AM segment of today’s Morning Joe, Scarborough accused NBC of having “cooked” its current poll to favor Hillary Clinton. But at 8AM when Morning Joe replayed that opening segment, Scarborough’s criticism of the NBC poll . . . had disappeared. Instead, the video jumped ahead to Mika Brzezinski’s reading of the poll results themselves, which showed Hillary Clinton with an 11-14% lead. Scarborough’s point was that NBC sampled only during the height of the hot mic hysteria, but didn’t include sampling from after the debate, widely viewed as having been won by Trump. Joe obviously knew he...

Jim Rutenberg of the New York Times did Donald Trump and his supporters a great favor when he admitted the media was not being objective in its reporting on Trump. Last Sunday, without any self-consciousness, Rutenberg looked in our eyes and said, “Yes we lie for Clinton. What you are going to do about it?” http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/08/business/balance-fairness-and-a-proudly-provocative-presidential-candidate.html His snarky “up yours” meshes perfectly with the polling fraud exposed in the DNC leaked Emails. They proved both CBS and NBC collaborate with the DNC to create false poll results favorable to Hillary Clinton. Now comes an NBC online poll that is frankly...

Our convoluted primary system evolved to allow voters a more direct voice in choosing a candidate who can win a general election. Voters don’t always choose wisely -- after all, one party always loses. It’s a shame then -- in what should be a Republican year -- that GOP primary voters appear to want to lose the presidency once again. If the candidate at the top of the ticket is roundly defeated, the toll could also take down many Republicans running for the House and the Senate. The latest polls show that only one Republican candidate has a sure chance of...

A leftover from last night. In case you thought there’s even a whisper of a chance that the GOP will win this November, disabuse yourself of that now. It’s not just #NeverTrump that threatens to sink the party. It’s #NeverCruz too. When asked what they would do if Cruz were the GOP nominee in November, only 65 percent of Wisconsin Republicans said they’d vote for him. The remainder instead would vote for a third-party candidate (18 percent), vote for Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton (7 percent) or not vote at all (6 percent). The numbers got slightly worse for the Republican...

Iowa isn't the only state where Ted Cruz has managed to surpass Donald Trump in state-level polls of Republican voters. The Texas senator is edging Trump in California, too, according to a new poll.Cruz leads the outspoken billionaire 25 percent to 23 percent in the latest NBC Bay Area Field Poll of GOP voters in the Golden State. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is third with 13 percent support, while retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson rounds out the top four at 9 percent.According to the poll, Cruz has risen 19 percentage points since October 2015, when he stood at 6 percent support...

In the Republican primary race, the newest NBC News/SurveyMonkey online poll shows Donald Trump has the frontrunner spot to himself, with 28% support among Republican and independent voters who lean Republican. Support for Ben Carson, who was tied with Trump in last month's online poll, has fallen off by 8 points and the former neurosurgeon is now tied with Ted Cruz at 18%. Trailing not too far behind is Marco Rubio, at 11%. The next tier of candidates has a lot of catching up to do, with Jeb Bush at 4% and Chris Christie and Carly Fiorina each with 3%....

AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name...

While the stock market has picked up and the country appears to be pulling out of the recession, a majority of Americans - for the first time in the Obama presidency - says the U.S. is headed down the wrong track, according to a Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll conducted Oct. 22-25. Fifty-two percent say the country is on the wrong track compared to 36 percent who say it is headed in the right direction with 9 percent saying conditions are mixed and 3 percent undecided. While there have been pluralities saying the U.S. is on the wrong track in...

WASHINGTON - Heading into Tuesday's State of the Union address and the beginning of the 2006 political season, President Bush faces an electorate that continues to be dissatisfied with his job performance, increasingly wants U.S. soldiers to come home from Iraq, and believes the Republican Party is associated more with special interests and lobbyists, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll...
