A German town and Josef Mengele, Auschwitz 'angel of death' As the Red Army approached Auschwitz, the Nazi "angel of death," Josef Mengele, fled. He outlived many of his victims. The people who survived his experiments remain scarred; his birthplace struggles with his legacy. Lidia Maksymowicz was 3 years old when she and her family arrived at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in December 1943, deported by Nazi Germany from the Minsk area in Belarus. It was late at night. The ramp was brightly lit. SS troops were shouting. Guard dogs were barking. Families were violently torn apart. Lidia was separated...

Not long ago, it was considered gauche on college campuses to provide comparisons to Hitler. Students would shout, “Godwin’s Law!” and cancel the conversation like an insufficiently woke Instagram influencer. But in the era of President Trump, which some would have you believe has ushered the Third Reich into the fifty states, politically liberal students have suddenly found renewed interest in comparing modern affairs to Nazi practice. For them, however, this is a double-edged sword. For, when the topic of Nazism arises on campus, a question quickly follows many cannot answer—a question of morality. Shared Experience Morality is inescapable. Spend...

Craig Lang, who is charged with killing a Florida couple in 2018, has become a cause célèbre in the country where he has fought as a mercenary. Four years later, Lang is under house arrest in Ukraine. His situation has nothing to do with his conduct inside the eastern European country. Lang is facing charges in the U.S. for allegedly killing a Florida couple...

Soros’ War Against the Jews The shame, hatred and megalomania driving the world’s wealthiest anti-Semite. Tue Dec 31, 2019 Daniel Greenfield 5 Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism. When George Soros hit middle age, he began seeing a shrink. The ruthless financier's problem was that he was burdened with an "oversized" sense of shame over a "guilty secret". That guilty shameful secret which sent Soros to a psychoanalyst was "Jewishness". Soros’ Jewish problem was generational. He grew up in, in his own...

President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani earlier this week upheld what has become a conservative tradition: attacking billionaire philanthropist George Soros. “Don't tell me I'm anti-Semitic if I oppose him,” Giuliani, a Roman Catholic, said in an interview with New York magazine that quickly went viral. “Soros is hardly a Jew. I'm more of a Jew than Soros is. I probably know more about — he doesn't go to church, he doesn't go to religion — synagogue.” Among those who did tell Giuliani he was, at the least, spreading anti-Semitic propaganda, was Jonathan Greenblatt, the national director of the Anti-Defamation League....

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) launched the debate over the impeachment of President Donald Trump on Wednesday by comparing the Democrats’ struggle to remove him from office to the Battle of the Bulge against Nazi Germany in World War II. Described as “Hitler’s Last Gamble,” the battle began in December 1944, when the Nazis sent 200,000 troops into a surprise attack against American forces. Though the Americans prevailed, 100,000 were killed or wounded over two months of fighting. Pelosi drew an analogy between the impeachment debate and that battle, the largest ever fought by the U.S. Army:

Berlin police are trying to find out who opened the unmarked grave of SS officer Reinhard Heydrich, a top Nazi killed by Czechoslovak agents in 1942. An employee at the Invalids' Cemetery in central Berlin found on Thursday that the grave had been opened. No bones were removed, police say. Heydrich was a key organiser of Nazi Germany's mass murder of European Jews. He chaired the Wannsee Conference in January 1942, where Hitler's genocidal "Final Solution" was planned. Tampering with a grave can be prosecuted under a German law against "grave defilement".

On December 16, 1944, Nazi forces launched their last major offensive campaign on the Western Front of World War II, deep in the Ardennes Forest. In what would become known as the Battle of the Bulge, the United States and Allied Forces unleashed one of the most consequential—and tenacious—operations in modern military history. Today, we remember the more than 500,000 brave patriots who faced unimaginable peril, including the more than 19,000 who laid down their lives in the gallant stand against tyranny and oppression that would ultimately liberate Europe from Nazi control and secure a victory for the forces of...

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - After a photo surfaced of West Virginia correction officer trainees giving what appears to be the Nazi salute, state officials quickly suspended some employees and the governor ordered the firing of those involved. The image, showing more than two dozen trainees with their arms raised and faces blurred, was released Thursday by the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety. A line of text reading “Hail Byrd” tops the picture, which an agency spokesman said was a reference to the trainees’ instructor. Before the photo was made public, the agency’s secretary, Jeff Sandy, released a...

Italian police said on Thursday they uncovered a plot to form a new Nazi party and seized a cache of weapons during searches across the country. Police in 16 towns and cities from the Mediterranean island of Sicily to the Alps in northern Italy took part in the investigation, which was launched two years. The probe revealed a “huge and varied array of subjects, residents in different places, united by the same ideological fanaticism and willing to create an openly pro-Nazi, xenophobic and anti-Semitic movement”, a police statement said.

img src="https://i.imgur.com/eAvpmgP.jpg" />Don't let "Training Film" fool you. This is a top-notch, hour-long drama with superb acting, plot development, and excellent writing on par with any major movie from the WW2 era. While (spoiler alert) the movie ends in "tragedy," the movie served as a direct reminder to US military forces if they were ever caught, and the consequences of falling into the enemy's trap.Link to movie

One little known fact about the abortion pill, formerly called RU-486, is that it has ties to the manufacturer of the deadly gas Zyklon-B, used by the Nazis during the Holocaust. Zyklon-B was originally used as a pesticide against rodents and other vermin until the Nazis realized the gas, manufactured by the German chemical company I. G. Farben, could also be used as a way to exterminate large numbers of humans. According to the New York Times, “I.G. Farben played so important a role in Hitler’s war machine and in the Holocaust that it came to be called ”the devil’s...

President Volodymyr Zelensky has backed in principle an agreement to bring elections to the territories controlled by the separatists amid hopes that it will eventually bring the conflict that has claimed more than 13,000 lives to an end. But Ukrainian opponents see the deal as a "capitulation" to Russia.

During the Obama presidency, Biden was the US proconsul for Ukraine, and he was involved in many corruption schemes. He authorised transfer of three billion dollars of the US taxpayers’ money to the post-coup government of the Ukraine; the money was stolen, and Biden took a big share of the spoils. The Ukraine has a few midsize deposits of natural gas, sufficient for domestic household consumption. The cost of its production was quite low; and the Ukrainians got used to pay pennies for their gas. After the 2014 coup, IMF demanded to raise the price of gas for the domestic...

KIEV (REUTERS) - Thousands of people marched through central Kiev on Monday to protest against President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's deal with Moscow to grant special status to a pro-Russian rebel-held region of eastern Ukraine as part of efforts to end a five-year conflict there. Around 20,000 people, including war veterans, took part in the rally 'No capitulation' against what they say are unacceptable concessions by Zelenskiy over the Donbass region. Ukrainian, Russian and separatist negotiators agreed last month that Kiev would grant the territory controlled by the separatists a special status and hold elections there. Ukraine also agreed to call back...
