DUBAI (Reuters) - Iranian riot police dispersed protesters shouting anti-government slogans in the western city of Kermanshah on Friday, a day after similar protests in the country's northeast, the semi-official news agency Fars reported. The outbreak of regional unrest reflects growing discontent over rising prices and alleged corruption, as well as concern over the Islamic Republic's costly involvement in regional conflicts such as Syria and Iraq. About 300 demonstrators gathered after what Fars called a "call by the anti-revolution" and shouted "political prisoners should be freed" and "freedom or death", while destroying some public property. Fars did not name any...

It turns out Bill O’Reilly was right all along: there IS a war on Christmas. Quick, without looking it up, somebody tell me what Pancha Ganapati isNewsweek pretty much confirmed as much with their Christmas Eve story titled “How Trump and the Nazis Stole Christmas To Promote White Nationalism.” Trump supporters say Americans have become too politically correct when they wish people happy holidays, a neutral term that can be used for people who celebrate Hanukkah, Eid, or any other religious holiday that takes place around the same time as Christmas. – ed. And let’s not forget the non-religious holidays...

The White House has decided to quietly withdraw from all its ties with the Ramallah-based Palestinian Authority and Mahmoud Abbas. DEBKAfile’s exclusive sources report that the Trump administration has resolved to scrap all ties with the Palestinian leadership in retaliation for its campaign against US President Donald Trump and his Jerusalem policy. Several warnings to Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) of what was in store if he did not desist from castigating the US president fell on death ears. Last week, two Arab crown princes, Saudi Muhammed bin Salman and UAE Sheikh Muhammed bin Zayed, summoned Abbas to their capitals and...

Hundreds took to the streets of Malmo in southern Sweden to protest after three teenage girls were brutally gang raped - and police told women to stay indoors. The most recent incident involved a 17-year-old girl who was raped by an unknown number of assailants in a children's playground in the early hours of Saturday. The following day, Malmo police issued a warning to local women not to go outside alone at night, and to walk in pairs or use taxis. Minneapolis To Reduce Police Psych Testing After Screening Out Too Many Minorities Anders Hagstrom Justice Reporter 1:53 PM 12/15/2017 The city of Minneapolis may fire its police psychology evaluator because his tests screened out too many minority candidates, despite already lowering psych evaluations far below the national standard. The July police shooting of Justine Damond triggered the city to scrutinize its psychological standards for police, with many claiming they’d become lax. Psychiatrist Thomas Gratzer has run psych testing for the Minneapolis police for the past five years, and in that time, he has eliminated four of the five tests used...

The Palestinian Authority and PA President Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah Party have been airing a music video promoting suicide attacks, a nonprofit monitoring the Palestinian media reported on Wednesday. A music video recently making the rounds on Palestinian social media contains lyrics saying the Al Aqsa Mosque “is calling” and “life is insignificant … God, grant us Martyrdom.” “A million grooms and brides … will have written the marriage contract in blood,” the lyrics say, using language directly linked to suicide bombings. The video featured the photos of two suicide bombers who murdered three Israelis and wounded 128. The video has...

To understand any phenomenon, its roots must first be understood. Unfortunately, not only do all discussions on the conflict between Islam and the West tend to be limited to the modern era, but when the past, the origins, are alluded to, the antithesis of reality is proffered. We hear that the West -- itself an anachronism for Europe, or better yet, Christendom -- began the conflict by intentionally demonizing otherwise peaceful and tolerant Muslims and their prophet in order to justify their “colonial” aspirations in the East, which supposedly began with the Crusades. Bestselling author on Islam and Christianity Karen...

Beardless men sow confusion in pious Muslim society because clean-shaven men sometimes “cannot be distinguished from women” and can cause “indecent thoughts”, according to a Turkish Islamic preacher. Speaking on the private religious station Fatih Medreseleri (Madrasahs) TV on Dec. 16, preacher Murat Bayaral blasted men who shave, saying they cause confusion for other men who might consider them to be feminine.(Don't they have the same problem with sheep and camels?) His advice consists of the simple mantra: Grow a beard and be a man. Bayaral said: “Men should grow beards. One of the two body parts that separate men...

Swedish Socialist party Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson announced that the retirement age would likely be raised in the near future in order to offset increased welfare costs, Swedish newspaper Expressen reports. “Looking at those who start working at 30, there should be opportunities to work longer than 65,” Andersson said. The minister made her remarks following an economic report from the Local Authorities and County Council (SKL) released earlier this week. The report claimed that the welfare state would grow faster than revenue obtained through taxation due to the dramatic rise of Sweden’s population. Due to the influx of migrants...

Remember Hilary Rosen? Hilary Rosen, with her 2 children (and former partner Elizabeth Birch).NOTE: if Big Guy had a LGBT child, he/she would like one of these. We last encountered her when she attacked Ann Romney for “never working a day in her life,” as part of the Democrats’ War on Women Who Aren’t Liberal. She ended up apologizing to Ann Romney for that crack, but some people never learn. Sunday she was again busy being offended by something she must have seen on either her Facebook or Instagram feed: Seeing anti-Semitism everywhere, especially at Georgetown, she couldn’t help but...

The Islamic State terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement by its Amaq news agency. It was one of the group’s deadliest attacks against religious minorities in Pakistan this year, following a blast at a Sufi shrine in February that killed more than 70 people. Initial reports suggested that two assailants had approached the church before the attack. Officials said security personnel shot one to death while another reached the gate of the main hall. Authorities said they were searching for two other suspects believed to be accomplices. Rescue teams reached the church to evacuate the dead...

During his campaign, President Trump promised to ban all Muslims outright until he could figure out “what is going on.” He later explained that this idea had developed into several policies that would have the same effect. Keep Up With This Story And More By Subscribing Now Since his inauguration, Trump has begun to implement them—they include slashing the refugee program, banning all immigration and travelers from several majority Muslim countries, and imposing new burdens on all visa applicants as part of “extreme vetting” initiatives. So far, these policies appear to have “worked,” strongly reducing Muslim immigration and travel to...

It turns out Muslims in the USA really are oppressed after all. How would you like to come over from the Middle East and attend an explicitly Catholic school like Loyola University Chicago, only to discover that Christmas is treated as if it were somehow a bigger deal than Islamic holidays, despite 5% of the students being Muslim? Sajedah Al-khzaleh grouses in the student paper that “there is a lack of public festivity compared to Christmas.” Sajid Ahmed, prayer coordinator for the terrorism-associated Muslim Students Association, says he “wishes Muslim holidays were just as prominent.” No worries; P.C. educrats are...
