Jan. 24, 2006: The Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s office has turned up evidence it claims shows that TransCaribbean Airways, the Netherland Antilles-based air carrier, took over US$500,000 in state money for services it may not have provided. The state audit, released yesterday according to the Associated Press, claims that the airline received $519,308 for instruction expenses "that were not adequately documented and may not have been provided."
