New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has declined to make a Shermanesque statement that would flatly rule out the possibility that he would appoint himself to fill the Senate seat of Democrat Senator Bob Menendez. Sen. Menendez is currently under federal trial, facing bribery and corruption charges. Should Menendez be removed from office or resign before Christie’s term ends on January 18, 2018, Christie would have the power to appoint his replacement. In a recorded interview aired on this today’s Morning Joe, New York Times reporter Nick Confessore said to Christie, “I’m looking for a Shermanesque statement here.” View the video...

Appearing on today’s Morning Joe, Rep. Joe Crowley, the fourth-ranking member of the Dem House leadership, stated that President Obama is “leading the charge” on efforts in state legislative races. Crowley was responding to Joe Scarborough’s question as to what Dems will do differently from what they did in November, when they got “absolutely shellacked.” Crowley began by mentioning the Koch brothers in connection with Dem losses. Scarborough challenged him: “you’re not blaming that on the Koch brothers, are you?” Crowley then switched gears and spoke of Obama’s involvement. View the video here.

On today’s Morning Joe, MSNBC senior political analyst Mark Halperin said that special counsel Robert Mueller “is a cyborg.” Joe Scarborough was so tickled by the description that he had Halperin repeat it. Calling Mueller “a relentless opponent,” Halperin said that “there is a strategy here, there’s a fearlessness, and there’s a level of coordination that makes anyone trying to help the president on this be put in a very defensive position.” View the video here.

He was not supposed to be back until Thursday, but President Trump’s Tuesday afternoon may have been too much for Joe Scarborough as he returned to air a day early. The Morning Joe host beamed in to co-anchor his namesake show from what appeared to be a living room in Maine to denounce the Commander-in-Chief after the comments he made during his Trump Tower press conference on Tuesday. 'He has now officially become the president of the white nationalist movement,' said Scarborough. 'The president has chosen sides, and it is very clear. Not only morally, but also politically.' Scarborough then...

The entire first hour of today’s Morning Joe was one, long, hyperventilation over President Trump’s press conference of yesterday. From Joe Scarborough to Willie Geist, Nicolle Wallace to Jon Meacham, Mike Barnicle to Michael Steele, the crew outdid themselves with apocalyptic condemnations of the president. Below, we’ve noted some of the lowlights, but have a look at the montage for the full frontal assault. View the video here.

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski’s staff is losing its patience with the couple’s globe-trotting, raging romance. We’re told that after a vacation in the South of France in May, which culminated in the MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-anchors’ engagement — plus numerous trips to Nantucket, Mass. — the lovebirds have taken flight once more, this time for London. But viewers may not notice much of a difference: MSNBC has gone to considerable lengths to make it seem as if Scarborough has stayed put in the newsroom while Brzezinski appears to be on the road. But the romancing anchors’ production team has...

(CNN)A defiant President Donald Trump resumed his attacks on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Saturday morning, calling Scarborough "crazy" and Brzezinski "dumb as a rock," despite days of bipartisan criticism over his initial attacks on the pair earlier this week.

After attacking the hosts of "Morning Joe" on Twitter last Thursday, everyone has been watching how the Trump-Joe Scarborough-Mika Brzezinski drama is unfolding. The hosts responded yesterday during their "Morning Joe" show and Trump just couldn't let it go, tweeting this morning: Crazy Joe Scarborough and dumb as a rock Mika are not bad people, but their low rated show is dominated by their NBC bosses. Too bad!

Brooks called the controversial Trump tweets about Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski is an issue of "the corruption of our public sphere." The Times columnist said Trump tweets "makes it harder for us, our country, to ever get back to normal."

The fake news media spent all day Thursday and Friday portraying Morning Joe co-host Mika Brrzzzzeennsski (I have no idea how to spell that name and no desire to Google it) as a modern day combination of Joan of Arc and the Virgin Mary, a poor, hapless, helpless persecuted and defenseless woman who was being “bullied” by mean ol’ President Trump. While this full court press for sympathy no doubt works with Mika’s fellow fake journalists and the upper class of New York City’s Upper East Side, it won’t work with any normal person who becomes acquainted with Mika’s background...

“You are a pig. You are a bully. And you are doing disgusting things to this country,” Deutsch says “Morning Joe” guest Donny Deutsch defended Mika Brzezinski on Friday following Donald Trump’s attacks on her, calling the president “physically disgusting to look at.” Co-host Willie Geist praised Brzezinski as “smart, strong and fearless” before the rest of the panelists chimed in. “He picked the wrong schoolyard to come into,” Deutsch said. “I have to tell you this. I’m not an employee of NBC so I’m going to go thug here. I’m sorry. Because Mika is a friend of ours. She’s...

Donny Deutsch prefaced his remarks by warning he was going to go “thug” and “low,” and proceeded to deliver. On today’s Morning Joe, responding to President Trump’s tweets about Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, Deutsch went on an angry rant, calling the President a “pig” and “physically disgusting.” View the video here.

Oh, the mad genius of Donald Trump! On the cusp of one of the biggest victories of his administration, cracking down on illegal aliens who commit vicious crimes inside our country, President Trump took to Twitter. “I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!” The only thing missing from this electronic presidential address was the Marine Band playing...

Perhaps there is no better window on the awfulness of the self-appointed New York-to-DC ruling class than MSNBC’s Morning Joe. The show revolves around a collection of chattering-class bores who devote the start of their day to seconding each other’s shallow and smug criticisms of Trump. The women make faces; the men roll their eyes.

Many Americans probably have forgotten, or never knew, that a 28-year-old female staff member was found dead in the summer of 2001 in the office of U.S. Rep. Joe Scarborough (R-FL). Officials in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, determined that Lori Klausutis died from an accident. The mainstream press largely ignored the case, but our review of several investigative reports indicates the official finding is highly questionable.

All of that having been said, the timing of his Mika/Joe tweets couldn’t have been worse, and amounts to a real unforced error. When we all got up yesterday morning, Trump had CNN and its CEO Jeff Zucker on the ropes. As I pointed out in yesterday’s Campaign Update, CNN was in the horrible position of actually being The Story. The fake news network’s fraudulent behavior and Zucker’s feckless leadership was on everyone’s mind, and pretty much all anyone was talking about. Add to that the fact that the President’s travel ban would go into effect later in the day,...

Kathy Griffin has hit out at Donald Trump after he viciously tore into the hosts of Morning Joe. The comedian accused the president of 'punching down' after he attacked 'low I.Q. Crazy Mika' and 'Psycho Joe' in Thursday morning tweets for trash talking him on their show - prompting a huge backlash against Trump. Griffin, who has kept a relatively low profile since she sparked outrage by posting a mock-up of Trump's severed head earlier this month, criticized Trump's tweets and accused him of bullying those less powerful than himself. 'POTUS likes to punch down. Whether it's anchors, US Attorneys,...
