In a triumph of the human spirit, it was reported last week that a woman sold into slavery at age 12 in Niger successfully sued the West African country’s government for not protecting her from this barbaric practice. Besides winning her case, the woman, Hadijatou Mani, 24, who was physically and sexually mistreated for years, also experienced the satisfaction of drawing the world’s attention to the obscenity of child slavery in Islamic countries.

More than 35 missiles have been fired against all the Israeli towns and villages within range of Gaza since early Wednesday, Nov. 5. Two upgraded Qassam missiles hit Ashkelon’s main street and industrial zone. Three shock victims were hospitalized. Israel’s emergency services in Ashkelon, Sderot, Netivot and the villages around Gaza are on the ready for further attacks but not all the schools within range of Gaza have shelters or fortified classrooms. The Palestinian barrage, which coincided with Barack Obama’s victory rally in Chicago, followed a battle that erupted Tuesday night when an Israeli armored force crossed 250 meters deep...

Once again Muslims who do not get their way turn violent. The latest case is over the results of a local election in Nigeria. The winners were the Christian backed ruling party the People's Democratic Party . The Muslims claimed the election was rigged and started rioting. This time the Christians fought back as hundreds of people have been killed.

(AINA) -- A Christian bishop received a threatening letter written by Ansar al-Islam, a Kurdish Muslim group affiliated with al-Qaeda in Iraq. The letter ordered the Christians to leave Iraq en masse and stated it is sending a final warning to Christians in Baghdad and other Iraqi governorates to leave Iraq permanently.
