I have done much reading and learning about Islam as well as doing much questioning about the subject. Here are some puzzling questions about Islam as well as some answers. 1) What is Islam? Islam is a warrior cult begun by a cult leader named Mohammed. 2) If Islam is a cult, how did it become so big? Mohammed lived in what is now Saudi Arabia a land that was populated by tribes. There was no law each tribe made up its own rules. Mohammed gathered a band of fighters around him and started making war against the other tribes....

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Four male Johnson & Wales University students have been arrested in connection with a reported sexual assault and alleged drugging of two female students at the university. The police have charged Mohammed Alsaqer, a 20-year-old sophomore, and Yazeed Alasiri, a 23-year-old senior, both from Saudi Arabia, with assaulting the women at the young men’s residence in Pawtucket after meeting the women at a nightclub in Providence on Thursday night. Late Tuesday night, Pawtucket police charged two more Johnson & Wales students — Mohammed Aljohani, 20, and Tareq Alharbi, 22 — with first-degree sexual assault.

Dozens of billboards with Muslim themes are sprouting nationwide, proclaiming what organizers say is the true message of Islam and its prophet, Muhammad: peace and justice, not extremism and violent jihad. The New York-based Islamic Circle of North America has erected 100 new billboards over the summer that feature statements such as: “Muhammad believed in peace, social justice, women’s rights” and “Muhammad always taught love, not hate; peace, not violence.” Also listed are a website and a phone number people can call for more information. They are in cities including Boston; New York; Phoenix; San Diego; El Paso and Austin,...

(www.teenvogue.com) A common assumption in our society, especially among the educated classes, is that ignorance—of a religion, culture, or race—invariably begets hatred and prejudice. A corresponding assumption is that the more you understand the other, the less you will fear him. Of course, this notion can be easily debunked by pointing out that German Jews who understood what Nazism was all about had good reason to fear the Nazis. Likewise, Southern blacks who understood the true nature of the Ku Klux Klan were justifiably on their guard against the Klan. Ignorance can breed unwarranted fear, but sometimes ignorance can...

J A N U A R Y 1 9 9 9Researchers with a variety of academic and theological interests are proposing controversial theories about the Koran and Islamic history, and are striving to reinterpret Islam for the modern world. This is, as one scholar puts it, a "sensitive business" by Toby Lester (The online version of this article appears in three parts. Click here to go to part two. Click here to go to part three.) N 1972, during the restoration of the Great Mosque of Sana'a, in Yemen, laborers working in a loft between the structure's inner and...

ISLAM arose with remarkable speed and mystery. Patricia Crone’s well-stocked mind, clear prose and unflinching intellectual honesty were devoted to explaining why. She had little time for Islam’s own accounts of its origins: “debris” as far as historians were concerned, and hopelessly inconsistent. Far better, she reckoned, to fill the gap with contemporary sources and knowledge of other cultures, from messianic Maoris to Icelanders. That required both personal and intellectual bravery. The central beliefs of Islam, such as the way the Koran took shape, the life of Muhammad and Islam’s relations with other religions, are sensitive subjects. Outside scrutiny can...

Raymond Ibrahim is a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center. What made non-Muslims convert to Islam, leading to the creation of the Islamic world? Early historical sources—both Muslim and non-Muslim—make clear that the Islamic empire was forged by the sword; that people embraced Islam, not so much out of sincere faith, but for a myriad of reasons—from converting in order to enjoy the boons of being on the “winning team” to converting in order to evade the dooms of being on the “losing team.” Modern day Muslims and other apologists—primarily in academia, government, and mainstream media—reject...

Fragments of an early Koran found in a Birmingham library may rewrite Islamic history after carbon dating revealed they could be older than Mohammed.

If it was good enough for Mohammed, why be surprised that it's also good enough for a Florida mosque. Helmi Agha, 40, was executive director of the American Muslim Youth Leadership Council when he was arrested in March and accused inappropriately touching a 15-year-old girl who attended events at the center. He faced 12 counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, though four of those have since been dropped. Agha, also known as Imam Abufarah, was born in Saudi Arabia to a Palestinian family and is not a U.S. citizen. When he was released on bond from Osceola County Jail, he...

ISIS, which already has maps of the parts of the world it would like to conquer, is turning its attention to space. Its supporters have found Mohammed’s name on the planet Pluto and are demanding that the frozen world on the fringes of the solar system be renamed "The Moon of Mohammed". Considering that Pluto was the Roman god of the underworld (not to be confused with the Disney dog), naming the abyssal dwarf planet after Mohammed might almost be appropriate. Christians identified Pluto with Satan. Pluto is cold rather than hot, but like the Islamic State, it’s nowhere you...

Muhammad has become the most popular name for baby boys in the UK, the website BabyCentre has claimed. While Arabic names are on the rise, TV shows such as Game Of Thrones have also inspired names for the next generation. The list of the top 100 baby names of 2014 showed Muhammad has risen 27 places from last year to claim the number one spot for boys. The baby names chart ranks the names chosen by 56,157 BabyCentre.co.uk members who gave birth in 2014. There is a surge in Arabic names generally, with Nur a new entry in the girls’...

595—Mahomet was without authority. His reasons, then, should have been very strong, having only their own force. What does he say, then, that we must believe him? 596—The Psalms are chanted throughout the whole world. Who renders testimony to Mahomet? Himself. Jesus Christ desires His own testimony to be as nothing. The quality of witnesses necessitates their existence always and everywhere; and he, miserable creature, is alone. 597—Against Mahomet.--The Koran is not more of Mahomet than the Gospel is of Saint Matthew, for it is cited by many authors from age to age. Even its very enemies, Celsus and Porphyry,...

ARKANSAS (KFSM) – Following the shooting death of four Marines in Chattanooga, Gov. Asa Hutchinson has authorized Arkansas National Guard Adjutant General Mark Berry to arm full-time military personnel. The governor also ordered the Arkansas flag to be flown at half-staff on Monday (July 20), according to a news release. “Our hearts break at the news of another senseless act of violence and terror, this time out of Chattanooga,” Governor Hutchinson said. “Our prayers go out to all the families of the victims, especially the family of Staff Sgt. David Wyatt of Russellville, one of Arkansas’s own.” He continued, “I...

In 2015, slavery is no longer freedom, but it certainly is tolerance. Congressman Louie Gohmert read a portion of my article "Pull Down the Slaver Flags of Islam" on the floor of Congress which addresses the hypocrisy of censoring the Dukes of Hazzard while opening the doors to Islamic racism and other forms of supremacist bigotry and nostalgia for slave-owning cultures. When Obama condemned Christianity for the Crusades, only a thousand years too late, in attendance was the Foreign Minister of Sudan; a country that practices slavery and genocide. Obama could have taken time out from his rigorous denunciation of...

Breitbart News previously reported that former Marine Jon Ritzheimer and fellow bikers will be holding a “Draw Muhammad” contest Friday night at 6 p.m. Islamists now warn participants not to bring their children with them if they love them, promising blood spill if Muhammad is drawn.According to Gateway Pundit, “Islamists have promised to murder the attendees [at the contest] tonight in Phoenix.” GP shows screenshots of various tweets from @DAWLATNAH–some with an ISIS flag avatar and others with an Islamic cleric avatar. One tweet, sent May 28 at 10:14 pm from an account that has since been suspended, says, “WARNING...

Phoenix (CNN)Jon Ritzheimer is a former Marine, and he has no middle ground when it comes to Islam. A T-shirt he wears pretty much says it all: "F--- Islam." Ritzheimer is the organizer of Friday's "Freedom of Speech Rally" outside the Islamic Community Center in Phoenix.

The Obama administration is involving itself again in the case of an American teen beaten by an Israeli Border Policeman last summer, in a move that CNN describes as connected to Israel-US tensions. The American cable network reported that White House National Security Council staffers recently took the unusual step of meeting in the West Wing with Tariq Abu Khder, 16, who was beaten by the policeman last summer during riots in eastern Jerusalem on July 3, 2014. The riots took place during the tension that followed the abduction and murder of three Jewish teens, and a revenge attack in...
