(CBS Local)– Over 200 people have now been infected by an outbreak of parasites linked to recalled vegetable trays from Del Monte. According to the CDC, 212 cases of cyclosporiasis – an intestinal infection caused by the cyclospora parasite – were reported as of July 5. The condition has been linked to “6 oz., 12 oz., and 28 oz. vegetable trays containing fresh broccoli, cauliflower, celery sticks, carrots, and dill dip,” which were recalled by Del Monte Fresh Produce on June 15. The crowd at the Minnesota rally was 60% Democrat and Independent. America is seeing the positive results of a @realDonaldTrump administration regardless of party. #MAGA This is self identified prior to the rally and was nearly 30% Democrat. Scores were calculated using the RNC voter files.

Quick, with MAGA-shocking news reverberating there’s a mid-west rush on winnamins. Remember that massive MAGA Trump rally last week in Duluth Minnesota? That would be the 9,000 strong rally where twice as many were turned away? Well, the data team at MAGA HQ have crunched the numbers and Brad Parscale shares the results: “The crowd at the Minnesota rally was 60% Democrat and Independent.”

Years after Judicial Watch exposed the Obama administration’s special behind-the-scenes tours for Somali Muslims at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, millions of dollars in cash are being smuggled weekly from the facility to the Middle East. Some of the money is being funneled to a region of Somalia that is controlled by the Al Shabaab terrorist group, according to a disturbing months-long investigation conducted by a national media outlet. Kerns says some of the individuals sending large amounts of cash abroad receive taxpayer-funded government assistance in the United States. Sources interviewed for the story say it’s “welfare fraud,” mostly involving government-subsidized...

Minneapolis police fatally shot a black man they say was armed with a handgun Saturday evening on the city’s north side, sparking a wave of protests over the weekend. The shooting, which is being investigated by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, took place about 5:30 p.m. after at least one 911 caller reported seeing a man firing a handgun into the air near 46th and Lyndale avenues, according to a news release issued Sunday by he BCA. When officers arrived, they found the man sitting on a curb with a woman near the intersection of 48th and Camden avenues,...

Political bickering has long been a roadblock to getting big things done in the US but a grassroots movement getting few headlines could yet herald a new American age of change. A green giant in a loin cloth would seem an unlikely indicator for what some describe as a revolution under way in the heart of America. But the Jolly Green Giant statue on Highway 169 in rural Minnesota wears a 48-inch (1.2m) smile for a reason. Accompanied by the slogan Dream Big, he typifies a sense of hope and renewal in the nearby city of Blue Earth that is...

Our friend Howard Root attended the Trump rally in Duluth last night. This is his (fantastic) report along with photos he took at the event (at the top and bottom below): At least 25 percent of the audience was under the age of 30, and around 40 percent were women. The senior citizen percentage was less than 10 percent — the lowest I’ve ever seen at a Republican event. Other than the hundred or so party leaders, this was a vastly different crowd from the Minnesota Republican Convention that I attended in Duluth three weeks ago. None of the attendees...

An ESPN writer called NBA Hall of Famer Kevin McHale, a “poor white man from a forgotten Deep South town,” after the Celtics legend was spotted at a Trump rally in Minnesota Wednesday night. The rally, held in Duluth, Minnesota, drew a large crowd. Among those in the crowd, was NBA champion Kevin McHale, whose wife is a supporter of the president’s. Pictures of McHale soon began appearing on social media:

The Minnesota Vikings made history on Thursday. Vikings players, coaches and members of the LGBTQ community came together for a first of its kind inclusion summit held by an NFL team. The LGBTQ summit and fundraising event was held at the TCO Performance Center Auditorium in Eagan. It centered around bridging the gap between the LGBTQ community and sports. In front of a packed crowd, former and current LGBTQ athletes shared stories about how they were criticized for who they loved while playing the sport they love. The event featured four panel discussions. Each one about an hour long.

At least two protesters interrupted President Trump’s rally in Minnesota on Wednesday, with the president mocking one individual’s appearance. The activists held up signs and disrupted the event minutes apart as the president railed against illegal immigration. Trump brushed aside each individual, telling them to “go home” and “say hello to Mommy.” “Was that a man or a woman? Because he needs a haircut more than I do,” Trump said as the second protester was escorted out. “I couldn’t tell,” Trump continued. “Needs a haircut.” The crowd roared, and broke into a “USA” chant. Washington Examiner ✔ @dcexaminer Trump as...

DULUTH, Minn. - President Trump will make his first visit to Minnesota since winning The Oval Office when he holds a rally in Duluth Wednesday night. The White House says President Trump will arrive in Duluth around 4:35 p.m. From there, President Trump will hold a round-table event with about a dozen elected officials as well as representatives from the mining and steel industry. The discussion is billed as "promoting and protecting American workers."

This is not a spoof. Richard Painter, a Democrat, is running for the Senate in Minnesota. Somehow he has managed to perfectly encapsulate everything that personifies the current left-wing progressive party. It is the perfect ad to represent all Democrats in 2018. Watch:

The venue for President Donald Trump's visit to Duluth was changed Friday to accommodate the crowds that are expected, according to a release from the Minnesota GOP. The rally will be moved to the AMSOIL Arena. The rally was originally scheduled at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the event begins at 6:30 p.m. The last time Trump visited Minnesota was in November 2016, when he made an appearance at a Minneapolis-St. Paul airport hangar during his presidential campaign.

Minneapolis police officers have repeatedly requested over the past three years that Hennepin County medical responders sedate people using the powerful tranquilizer ketamine, at times over the protests of those being drugged, and in some cases when no apparent crime was committed, a city report shows. On multiple occasions, in the presence of police, Hennepin Healthcare EMS workers injected suspects of crimes and others who already appeared to be restrained, according to the report, and the ketamine caused heart or breathing failure, requiring them to be medically revived. Several people given ketamine had to be intubated. These are among the...

The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a Minnesota law banning voters from wearing political apparel to the polls, saying it was too draconian in stifling Americans’ First Amendment rights. The 7-2 decision said it may be possible for states to restrict stridently political T-shirts and buttons, but the justices said Minnesota didn’t justify why its law needed to be so broad.

The majority of the 99 seats in the House of Representatives identified by the Cook Political Report as “competitive” in 2018 are in eight states: California, Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Michigan. Of the 435 seats in the lower chamber of Congress, 336 are not competitive–180 held by Democrats, 156 held by Republicans, according to the Cook Political Report’s ratings. Only 15 of the 99 competitive seats are currently held by Democrats, while 84 are held by Republicans. The simple math–24 more non competitive seats are held by Democrats than are held by Republicans–and the Republicans...

Brotherhood-linked Congressman Keith Ellison is giving up his ultra-safe seat in the U.S. House of Representatives to run for the post of attorney general of Minnesota, a risky move in a state that isn’t as radically left-wing as his home district. The primary election is Aug. 14. Ellison, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) deputy chairman who essentially endorsed the violent anarchists and communists of the subversive Antifa movement, claims he wants to be the North Star State’s top lawyer to litigate away in a quest for justice. “It was attorneys general who led the fight against [President Trump’s so-called] Muslim...

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, has filed papers to run for Minnesota attorney general. Ellison, also the deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee, filed Tuesday just hours ahead of a deadline. Ellison will keep his post with the national party. Ellison is in his sixth term representing a reliably Democratic Minneapolis-area seat. But he was lured into Minnesota's attorney general race after the incumbent, Lori Swanson, jumped into the governor's race on Monday. Ellison says it was attorneys general who led the fight against President Donald Trump's ban on travelers...
