Associated Press - 11:53 AM ET CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - Osama bin Laden is accusing the pope of helping in a "new crusade" against Islam. In his latest audio message, bin Laden says Pope Benedict played a "large, lengthy role" in an effort against Islam that included cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad that were published in Europe. Bin Laden warned of a "severe" reaction to the cartoons, though he didn't mention a specific action. The cartoons have been seen by Muslims as insulting. And the pope raised widespread anger in 2006 with a speech in which he cited a medieval...

Clinton Library Builder's CFO Vanishes, Leaving Questions, No Clues LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- The stress of restructuring the construction company that built the Clinton Presidential Library gave John Glasgow every reason to run away. A seven-figure salary, a chance to buy part of a firm jointly owned by department-store chain Dillard's Inc. and a life lived in good spirits gave him every reason to stay. Glasgow has been missing since before sunup Jan. 28; his car was found abandoned the next day at a state park. Family and police say it's impossible to tell whether Glasgow killed himself, was...

SAN FRANCISCO -- From the moment the girl's body was found stuffed in a duffel bag nearly four years ago, her image haunted detective Scott Dudek - her feminine pajama pants, the single ankle sock decorated with snowflakes, the butterfly clip in her hair. "But you knew instantaneously this was someone's little girl." The FBI's crime database lists about 6,000 unidentified victims nationally. Some of...

Bin Laden has not been heard of since a December 27, 2004 audiotape in which he anointed Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Iraq’s most wanted man, as Al Qaeda’s leader in the war-torn country HE has not issued any public statement all year. Speculation has grown over his influence, health and even possible death. Where is the Western world’s most wanted man, Osama Bin Laden? The Al Qaeda leader’s period of silence is the longest since the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, offering no clues to the whereabouts or fate of a man who this year appears to have...

I have a friend who works with a Texas state agency that deals with missing people. To say they are frustrated by the amount of coverage Natalee Holloway, the runaway fiancee, Laci Peterson, etc., generate, while the families they work with are ignored by the MSM, would be an understatement. To quote her (she does read and post on FR, however she has deliberately refrained from participating in these missing persons discussions since it's close to her job): I can survey 20 people on the street, about a missing teen from Alabama, and many will immediately name Natalee Holloway. If...

White, Pretty, Rich: Media Biased On Missing Persons By MICHELLE BEARDEN mbearden@tampatrib.com Published: Jun 18, 2005 Bonnie Lee Dages and her 4- month-old son, Jeremy, never made national news. Their disappearance on April 28, 1993, barely made local news. The 18-year-old single mother and her son are just two more sad statistics, but not for their still-grieving family and friends. ``It's as if nobody cares. Not just about my daughter but other daughters out there who are gone,'' says Larry Dages, the Lithia father who can never forget. ``Maybe people just get tired of hearing about it.'' Yet, other missing...
