Art Bell and Keith Rowland have made it official: There will be July fireworks in 2015 .. the talk show legend is going to go his own way.. A podcasting style as opposed to the terrestrial or even satellite radio he did previously. This time he is greeting the 21st century with open arms, working out private deals to play music, hoping that fans sign up in big numbers to help his return, and beaming himself to every smart phone that wants him. The show will be called MIDNIGHT IN THE DESERT.

Apple supports Homo-Fascism. Microsoft supports Homo-Fascism. As Freeper "Star Traveler" has pointed out, if you work with computers, you are going to end up sending money to a company that supports Homo-Fascism. It occurs to me that we need a way to use computers that does not put money into the pockets of companies that support Homo-Fascism. (And other Liberal causes.) How about a version of Linux that people who believe in Freedom can use to fight back against the Homo-Fascist tech companies? We could call it "Free-nux." Someone needs to start a company that pushes this idea and provides...

What do you suppose President Obama's endgame will be for the last part of his presidential term?

A lorry carrying 14 million honeybees scattered hundreds of hives when it overturned on a highway north of Seattle in the US state of Washington early on Friday. The lorry had just merged onto the Interstate 5 when it tipped on its side, dumping its load of 448 hives, officials said. The driver was not hurt, and authorities are investigating whether or not speed was the cause of the crash. The company that owns the insects, Belleville Honey and Beekeeping Supply of Burlington, sent beekeepers to recover as many as possible. It is believed that the total value of the...

Dear Diary: A singer often in need of a handy practice area, I sometimes vocalize in the subway (in addition to busking). The cathedral-like acoustics of these underground passages are friendly to the voice, and on my lunch break I can loosen my tie and warm up with some scales. I have found a little cul-de-sac perfect for this at a station near work, out of the paths of the Midtown commuters rushing through. Passers-by who hear my tenor coloratura sometimes pop their heads around the corner in curiosity; some smile or wave. But I go there for the architecture,...

In a ghostly reminder of the Bay Area's nuclear heritage, scientists announced Thursday they have captured the first clear images of a radioactivity-polluted World War II aircraft carrier that rests on the ocean floor 30 miles off the coast of Half Moon Bay. The USS Independence saw combat at Wake Island and other decisive battles against Japan in 1944 and 1945 and was later blasted with radiation in two South Pacific nuclear tests. The Navy deliberately sank the contaminated ship in 1951 south of the Farallon Islands. The rediscovery of the USS Independence offers a fascinating glimpse into American military...

Nevada sex workers at Dennis Hof’s famous Moonlite Bunny Ranch have launched a “Hookers for Hillary” ... Nevada sex workers at Dennis Hof’s famous Moonlite Bunny Ranch have launched a “Hookers for Hillary” Clinton website that endorses the former secretary of state’s campaign for president. The legal brothel near Carson City, which was the subject of HBO’s “Cathouse” series, has drafted a four-point platform explaining their endorsement. “Hillary Clinton, as part of her husband’s administration, envisioned health care reform in the 1990’s, long before President Obama was able to sign it into law,” they write. “The Affordable Health Care Act...

The International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers Friday withdrew for at least six months their petition for an election scheduled for Wednesday to unionize Boeing Co.’s North Charleston plant. The union cited a “toxic environment and gross violation of workers’s lawful organizing rights.” If the union had pressed ahead with the controversial vote – being waged in a strongly anti-union state – and failed to win, organizers would have had to wait at least a year to schedule another try at passage. “An atmosphere of threats, harassment and unprecedented political interference has intimated workers to the point we don’t...

In 1921, according to the history books, an newly-blind Englishman named James Biggs was feeling threatened by the amount of traffic in his neighborhood. In order to be more visible to motorists, Biggs reportedly painted his cane white. If true, it means the white cane as an aid to the blind is approaching its 100th birthday. Which explains why, in true Silicon Valley fashion, Raghav Ganesh thought the world was overdue for the white cane, 2.0. "There's an old device here that needed an upgrade," Raghav says, "and I thought I could make that better." Raghav Ganesh, a San Jose...

The Third Amendment, which guards against the quartering of soldiers in citizens’ homes – and which came into being because of the abuse of British troops against American patriots – has just been dinged by a judge who ruled the provision doesn’t apply to police. In essence, that means police on official business could claim the legal right to bust into a private citizen’s home and occupy it. The determination from federal district court Judge Andrew Gordon was rendered when he dismissed a Third Amendment claim from a Henderson, Nevada, family who suffered that very fate. Anthony Mitchell and his...

In a world where many people wish to forget the atrocities committed, or even deny that they ever happened, let us take time to remember those who perished and those whose lives were scarred forever.

Hillary Clinton, who reportedly will announce her candidacy this weekend, is such a prohibitive favorite to win the Democratic presidential nomination that she more or less cleared the field simply by behaving like someone who was going to run. That’s as much a testament to her political talent as it is to her nominal association with the boom times of the late 1990s. But it’s also the source of genuine anxiety among liberals, who worry she’ll enter the general election rusty and untested unless someone formidable dares to challenge her in the primary. This sounds like a reasonable point, until...

Hillary Clinton has announced that she is running for president of the United States. What her likely nomination says about the Democratic Party and tens of millions of Americans is depressing. Other than Barack Obama -- whose resume consisted of being a charismatic black -- it is hard to come up with a less accomplished individual who has run for president in our lifetime. And, unfortunately, that is saying something. Moreover, at least Barack Obama had the excuse of having been in public life for only a few years, as a state senator and then a two-year U.S. senator. Hillary...

First Lady of the Conservative Movement Phyllis Schlafly has an incisive article on Townhall explaining why conservatives – and establishment Republicans – should oppose President Obama’s push for amnesty for illegal aliens. As Mrs. Schlafly points out, “The current level of legal immigration to America adds thousands of people every day whose views and experience are contrary to the conservative value of limited government… Under current law, 1.1 million new legal immigrants come in every year. The Congressional Budget Office projections indicate that amnesty, plus its scheduled increases in legal immigration, will add an additional 4.6 million new voters by...

Hillary Clinton may not be much at administering the State Department, but she’s certainly a pro when it comes to expressing outrage at her own persecution. For the woman who is supposedly the world’s most powerful feminist, her sense of victimhood remains surprisingly strong. That’s never been more true than in her new book, Hard Choices, which points out that she – not the four men who died in Benghazi, Libya, on the night of September 11, 2012 – is the victim. The Clinton camp reportedly leaked the 34-page Benghazi chapter of Hillary’s latest tome to favored outlet Politico. The...
